    1. Old school PAM001B with non ARed crystal

    2. DSN's earliest batch of sausage dial (Better letter "A" font)

    3. Palp's crown (Pic showed a Lello's crown which I planned to use originally)

Sent to The Zigmeister spa for the following work

    - Convert "T-Swiss-T" to "T Swiss T"

    - Install palp's crown

    - Flaten the lever pin on CG

    - Relume davidsen's dial with aged tritium lume

    - Relume and touch up the hands

    - Upgrade to gen H3 Cannon pin

    - Touch up the crystal (removing some marks at the edge)

    Let see the results,

    Some gen pics

    2674519114_6a94608aef_o.jpg

    - This is what I always wanted

    2909475992_9d5a25f29a_o.jpg

    - I prefer the t swiss t dial and off white / creamy aged lume colour over the L swiss L dial and white lume

    My PAM001B

    2909477886_64ac840e10.jpg

    - The lume used on DSN's dial was too yellowish previously. The Zigmeister found the correct mix and the lume colour

    looks better and gen now

    - Notice the difference in the lume colour tone between the hands and the markers, I am speechless

    - the CG lever pin is totally flushed and look as good as the gen

DSN's dial was sightly too big to be used with the standard case. There was some risk that the dial will be

damaged in the process of grinding as there is zero tolerance to do this. The Zigmeister was nice to inform me before proceeding

and I took the risk. I am very glad that The Zigmeister didn't give up and help me to finish the work though.

Thank you very much Rob for making my wish came true.

There you go guys. My fully modded (almost perfect to me) PAM001B.

    Thanks for viewing.

  2. :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

I'm with chieftang. This is one of my fav.

    Work done

    - V1 dial with correct lume on 12,3,6,9 hour markers and hands (new C3 lume applied)

    - Thick hour markers had been shaved down thinner (Looks much much better)

    - Gen ETA day / date wheels swapped

    - Standard rep AR (not too bad IMO)

    - A7750 (Worth going for a gen ETA 7750 but the A7750 is working fine for me so far)

    Some pics

No more thick hour markers :victory:

  3. Hi,

    Try Angus from Puretime.

Someone over at RG recently got one from him with the following

    1.) Superlumed sandwiched dial

    2.) ARed crsytal

3.) Correct E117/1500 see through caseback

4.) Correct E series movement with dagger swan neck (the earliest version with the word "panerai" stamped out instead of engraved. But believe me it still looks good)

    5.) Cannon pin fixed

If I remember correctly. He got it at USD350 shipped.

Check it out while still available as the E sries movement are really geeting rare these days.

    2 cents :)

  4. I will try my best to help.

First, the 112 in the pictures has all the common flaws in all base and marina pam reps.

1.) Recessed cannon pin (the middle sunken hole you see on the hour and minute hand where it should be flushed on the gen)

2.) Incorrect "L swiss made L" spacing is too wide and font is bigger

3.) Movt should have a "dagger" shape regulator not a needle head

4.) Swan neck is missing from the movt

5.) The OP blue text should be engraved not sticker like the one shown inside the pics

6.) Crown is a little thin (You can solve this using t's crown)

7.) Crown guard lever pin is not flushed (V's crown is recommended)

By the way, the chinese movt are quite good these days.

To get the above correct mean you have to invest more to mod it. But if you are after a daily beater or something nice or just close to the gen, this is a good entry level pam to start with as the price is considerably affordable.

    Hope this helps

  5. Some pics to share. Thanks to spinmaster for his help for assembling the parts together. :)

    - Lello's thick crown

    - DSN's latest 201A dial and caseback

    - Standard rep brushed CG

    - Non ARed sapphire crystal

    - DSN's improved case without the notch and correct crown position

    - Bad ass strap got it for USD10

  6. Cheeezz... :o

The rough finishing definitely look off.

Fishgodeep is right about the various version to the CDG bridges.I also think that perhap yours is the result of the surplus balance with combination of old and new parts which are put together.

Here's mine. Notice that area you are referring to. The one on mine is the same finishing like the rest of the bridges. Mine also comes with the correct font size painted text (not the incorrect size and squarish sticker alphabetical text), correct incabloc shock protector and flared spokes like the gen.

I source this about a year ago and I don't think it is available anymore.

  7. I have finally decided that I will be getting the Pam 252 GMT. Have resisted for a long time but finally caved in, the watch is beautiful! However, need to ask the Pam experts on their opinions. The cyclops on it, can it be removed or swapped with a Chieftang cyclop? I have just bought a V 1:1 CG from a member here and would also get a Lello DW. So the cyclop issue is one I need advice, do i change it or is the one that comes with the watch a good cyclop? Would also getting a gen or Palp crown help?

Would appreciate all advice on this.

    Thanks!

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

If it is the ultimate version, the cyclop on your 252 is very high chance a sandwiched cyclop meaning that it can't be removed and swap the chieftang cyclop. Only the older pam like PAM29,63 24 are the models in which the cyclop are able to be removed. Having said that, some of these models also comes with sandwiched cyclop as they are produced by different rep factories. I suggest you post a pic here so that our experts here can help you. Another alternative is, you may like to check out with DSN's for his crystal without the cyclop.

As for lello's datewheel, I think this were sold out for a while. I heard from other member that he may have another production run but will suggest you PM him. There are 2 type of DW for A7750. For you case, ask him for the DW at 3 o'clock position not the one at 4 o'clock which is used on daylight.

As for the crown, The rep crown thickness is quite good already. If you are really after a gen crown, be sure you go for the auto crown or else you could be buying a good thick crown but for handwhind movt.

Here's an example of lello's datewheel and with the rep cyclop (removable type). I think I shall leave it alone since the lello's date font looks bold with the mag power. The rep crown also looks correct and thick.

    Hope this help ^_^

  8. Thanks a million guys.

I went to check out with my local watchsmith and he confirm that it is the crystal that is defective not the AR.

BTW, the UPO had stopped production for while now and no longer available.

For me, I simply ordered a silix's dial with the correct logo and do the logo swap. I really feel that this watch is very nice looking and need no mods (Lume is quite good for a rep) other than the logo.

So, how much do you think it's fair to sell this? (considering the cost I put in on silix's dial and watchsmith charges)

    Thanks again guys :D

  9. Hi,

My UPO LITE came with UPO case, dial, SS bracelet, modded with Correct "No feet" logo and it is powered by asian DG4813 movt (good movt and keep good time so far).

    2737788379_cb2df9ddd2_o.jpg

The design is sleek and nice for a diver watch. The rep looks very close to the gen article from a distance.

    2738626604_856ecbba67_o.jpg

Now here comes the problem. See green circle in pic below

    2738626732_8f48d9452c.jpg

There seem to be some unknown smudge marks (Not scratches) appearing within the crystal. I tried to buff it off many times but impossible.

The smudge marks seem to disappear when looking at some other angles. See pic below

    2737788441_9b35e2feb2.jpg

So, What could have happen to the crystal? I think this smudge mark will not happen on a gen sapphire crystal except mineral / synthetic crystal.

Anyone experience this? Is there anything I can do to buff it off ? (beside replacing another crystal)

The watch is still in good conditon despite the crystal smudge marks. I tested it by putting my hand into the water and it still work well.

If I going to sell this, what is a fair asking price (knowing that the buyer can source a used or new crystal) ?

    Thanks for your help. :)

  10. Hello,

from wich site did you buy this rep. It looks fantastic.

i have been looking at the same one in swiss replicas from replicahause.com, but selss for about 600 USD. is that ok? Do you sugget another website?

Oh... Be careful. there is a thread here about bestswiss, replicahause and if I remember correctly. They are the same seller. If you do a google search for bestswiss, you'll some rip off scam reported. I will stay away from then if I were you. Our dealer here (ruby, silix) are better and safer choices to make purchase.

The HBB SS price has lowered to 300 to 350USD and definitely not 600 USD (this is the price with real ceramic bezel)

    :)

  11. Is there a reason why 112H?

For your budget. it is quite difficult to get one with swan neck to be honest. You can wait to see if anyone sell theirs in the watch trade section but definitely not the swiss version with "dagger" swan neck CP fixed and correct text font on the movt.

If you are after accuracy, why not consider closed caseback pams with asian movt.

    Good luck
