  1. I always want to try new things. I unlike most am not a fan of Breitling bracelets most of the time. I like the Ocean racer for this piece best but do not have the rubber pieces long enough for my wrist. So, I have tried a few straps. The ones that are most successful to me are those with enough body, size and strength to carry the S/A. I was toying around with this prototype and decided to see if it would look nice on the Avenger. I like how it wears and it definitely supports the mass of the watch. Enjoy!

  2. The peekaboo bit reminds me of a dead fishes eye that was left out in the sun. Personally I prefer a more natural shape with subtle details and accents. The dark blue does not work on that. Maybe turquoise stitch would have went better.

    My 2cents

Thanks. Been revised based on feedback...I like the fisheye bit..

  3. @JC --> you we're on my pm list for 2nite...i shot this out quickly because the issue isn't so much the tool, but rather the friction/tension/whatever that is in play between the caseback and the case...i don't want to screw up the piece and thought a lube of some sorts would assist the process...most of my 6497s screw on/off with the sticky ball i got from Narikaa on one of my first purchases...

    @others --> thanks!...

the titanium is tough and i don't want to mess up the threads anymore than they are...what i don't know is whether the caseback was just screwed on cockeyed from the start...was tough to open but it came off...i'm thinking it wasn't seated right in the first place...argh...

Yep, giving you a slightly hard time....I think some type of Silicone/silicon will help if its not gauled already...All my ti cases were tough by the way...so much so, I thought they were misaligned as well...

  4. I like the creativity. Play by your own rules. For me personally, I think a shape other than a circle for the peak-a-boo portion might work better (lines, or a rectangle, multiple rectangles?), but, different strokes for different folks. Keep up the good work!

    Agree. Thanks! :drinks:

    Welcome aboard the fun train...

  5. This may not be a strap for everyone but I think you just might be on to something here BB. If the stitching were were boxed and maybe a different color. Maybe a different type of material for the "peekaboo window, It's funky,I like that In a strap. :drinks:

Good advice. :drinks: Thanks. I believe it has uses, for example a tuxedo strap...

  6. my two cents...

i like the curved tail but prefer stitching all the way around the edge...

not so sure on the peekaboo look, tho....my first thought was that this would be something Mike would wear...so that should say enough... :whistling:

    LOL.

    Always appreciate your opinion... :drinks:

It was an interesting moment of creativity....I like the end and will do more with that. The peekaboo was a prelude to something I've been toying with. Kinda a racing strap without being open to the air...Winter version if you will....Also a way to get the horns with a more dressed down version.. B)

  7. Posted in the Breitling area by mistake although it will fit my S/A....

I decided to let the artsy fartsy nature come out with a new line.....I really want to start doing some unique artisan pieces for myself and others and here is one of my first prototype pieces. 6mm thick calfskin with hornback accents and accent stitching.

Let me know what you think...
