Some of you may have seen the drama unfold around my attempted sale of my 42mm swiss ETA PO from King, in the trade thread at repgeek. In short I mistaken bought 42mm rather than 45 and when I tried to sell it, various issues with the quality of the rep (ie re pearl, bracelet - that it is not 4th generation etc - I've learnt a lot in the process!) were raised. Anyway, the long and short of it is that I'm not going to get anything like the $300 I paid for it in March.
Anyway, my question is whether the following is feasible:
1) buy a UPO 45mm lite, with the asian movement from a trusted dealer;
2) remove the ETA movement from my King PO and transplant it into the UPO lite.
Can 1 (or more) of you Omega gurus advise whether you think this is feasible/reasonable. If it is, I will end up with the watch I wanted (assuming the UPO lite has the right case/dial/bracelet etc) and not be too much more out of pocket, with a spare King case and asian movement.
If this is reasonable, the real noob question. Who would you recommend I pick up the UPO lite from!
Any help much appreciated.
