  1. I'm a huge SanDave fan as well. I believe he ships from California IIRC. Here's a Horned and Distressed Crod on my 240 (not the best photo). I actually have another of his Crocs for sale... Again, on the 240... I'm also eying a black yoda for my 104... -M
  2. If you are on a path to your 'perfect' rep... 1) http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=72 - This is the member Davidsen's section. Check his March and newer posts as those are most likely readily available... He deals in e-mail/Western union and you can get a great 104 for $280USD. 2) Contact member Lello for a 7750(3) Datewheel. $100USD +- 3) Contact members Vacuum or The Zigmeister (?) for quotes on Superlume/Servicing/Install of DW. $200USD +- 4) Find a OEM Strap or a custom strap you like. $100-$200. This is a typical path and I think is more then adequate for people looking for a nice rep and are happy with 90-95% rather then 99%.. You can forgo the DW if it doesn't bother you and keep the strap the rep comes with if that's suits you and to keep an extra $ in your pocket. Or you can always hunt down a handful of Gen parts (Crowns, CGs, Movements, Etc) if you are on a quest to perfection. I think the first step though is to get your first rep in your hands so you know what you're dealing with. -M
  3. I think even if you get the pictures you request, there's always the possibility of a dead movement. That is a possibility from any vendor. Only reason I say this is because I ordered a new DSN104 and it showed up with a dead movement. I sent it back, ordered an extra watch and had two FLAWLESS 104's at my door in a week. Mine hasn't left my wrist since it showed up and it's keeping perfect time with no issues whatsoever. Best of Luck. I have another order going in this week for a 240 and 036. -M
  4. Ordered multiple times and have had nothing but good experiences. I actually have an order touching down Friday from them. Quick shipping and prompt tracking #s. -M
  5. So I need a new case for some watches and parts that are collecting over here. I jump on Panatime.com and check out a little 4 watch holder with a couple sections for straps, parts, etc (http://panatime.com/bllewacawizi2.html). Perfect for what I need, throw some WIP projects in there, stuff I don't wear as often and the bits and pieces that are piling up. In the description it said the piece was $49.99, but the 'add to cart' button said $59.99. Quick e-mail off to Stan, and within 15 minutes I received a reply and the price was updated to $49.99. I proceed to purchase one, ($49.99 + $10 shipping) and check out. At this point, I can't be happier with the transaction. BUT WAIT! I get an e-mail from Stan 10 minutes later, saying shipping is only $6 and the TOTAL is only $55.99. When's the last time you've EVER gotten service like that? Online or otherwise? Great Vendor. 5 Stars. -M
  6. Thanks for the file Thanks for the input guys, In my defense, the idea of a 104 in a JF case was put in my head from this post. I guess now I have to decide on a new project... anyone willing to part with their 6497 Swan Neck w/Dagger? -M
  7. Woah! I had no idea it's that big of a difference. Hmmm... looks like plans may be changing. Thanks for the heads up. -M
  8. Thanks for the heads up. I have an auto caseback sitting here next to a handwind and yes, I can clearly see what you are saying. The Auto caseback will get the nod if this does indeed become a auto. However the JF still seems a millimeter 'shorter' not taking the caseback into account. Wondering if anyone out there HAS a JimmyFu 104 (or any Auto for that matter). Anything to watch out for during the process? TIA. -M
  9. Are you talking about 'pusher holes' for a Chrono? I am trying to build a PAM104 with a JF case, so I wouldn't need the Chrono 'pushers' if that's what you are referring to. If you are talking about something else, please enlighten me. Just trying to figure out if a 7750 is too 'thick' for a JF case... or if it would even be appropriate. -M
  10. Just curious if the automatic 7750 will fit into a JF case. The JF case is a bit thinner Crystal-to-Caseback, and I have heard differing opinions on the subject. Are modification required to allow fitment? Is it a pretty straight swap? Any and all insight is appreciated. -M
  11. Apologies! Ignore my lack of attention. -M
  12. Perhaps to confirm your blue dial critique... [Edited for Inaccuracy] -M
  13. 'Data Czar' is my formal title. I stare at Spreadsheets and talk to shops/manufactures. www.rpmware.com -M
  14. @ fat.tail.event - I believe the extra $20 is for EMS 'SpeedPost'. That's what I choose for my last order, he shipped on Saturday, it arrived on Thursday. -M
