  1. I just saw this on Andrews site. Why is it cheaper? Is it due to the rubber vs leather strap?
  2. K thx, Im going to go with that one then. I didn't like the RG because it looks like Brass. I want the one that looks the closest to gen. Thx guys
  3. So is the Ti and the RG+TI exactly the same except for the finish?
  4. What do you think about chronographs? Ive read that you have to keep a few things in mind when setting them and Im a bit pushed back by that. Plus I just realized that the back glass shows the movement, therefore people will tell that its fake, right? I think Im leaning towards the 48mm now... So is the difference between COR007B and COR007C just that one is regular titatnium and the other is Rose Gold Titatinium? Is that the reason for the 50 dollar difference? That Rose Gold looks like brass... thx
  5. Ive been thinking about getting me some. Its a cheap price too. Glad you like it.
  6. Im quite confused at which is the best for my wallet. There are various prices that I see from Andrew from $228 to $398. The $228 being listed as New Asian Valjoux 7750 and the higher priced ones at Asian Valjoux 7750. I take it that New Asian Valjoux is a better movement? Also, I want the watch itself as complete as possible for my buck. Can you guys recommend the best Corum for me? Thanks. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...=20a&page=2
  7. Thanks guys. So basically, I can wind the time backwards, I just need to move it a bit forward first before going back? Therefore, I dont need to worry about setting the date at a specific time or anything like that, right? Clockwise or counterclockwise? Sorry for the noob questions, I just dont want to mess this one up.
  8. Never knew that, thanks. Do you know of a site that lists these important facts?
  9. Wow cool. Thanks but Im not platinum member so I cant see it Ive got one more question if you dont mind, I posted it in the Rolex section. Whats the correct way to set the date and time? I remember someone said to only move the crown in one direction (Rolex). To unwind, you turn counter clockwise. To set the date and the time, it's clockwise, right?
  10. O wow I didnt know that. I thought you always had to wind it. So automatic watches don't need to be wound if worn? *slaps head Thing is, I dont wear it every day. I guess Ill just wear it a couple of hours a day at home, that should prevent me from having to wind it, right?
  11. I remember I posted on here about the date getting jammed and someone told me that when setting the date and time, you are supposed to turn the crown only in one direction. It was in knowledge base so I can't check there. Does anyone know? I think counter clockwise is the way to set it correctly? I just got a new watch today so I want to be extra careful this time.
  12. I just received my Asian 21j of Noob Factory Yachtmaster. What I noticed is that the winding is harder and not as smooth as the Swiss ETA that I have on another Yachtmaster. Since this is my first Asian 21j, is this normal? Im just afraid of it breaking. Thanks.
  13. Thats what I was talking about. I clicked your link and it says I dont have permission.
  14. I can't see what Platinum member is in that link. The knowledge base is completely gone for me. Do you need to pay now to see these areas? I cant see a lot of the watch reviews anymore. Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.
  15. That is sexy! Are the movements of the Gen Swiss different from the Asian? I mean, is it noticeable? He's all out
  16. Thx By-Tor. I thought Id bump this to show that I appreciate the help. I will be purchasing from Narikaa.
  17. Can you recommend a accurate yachtmaster with swiss movement? Im a big yachtmaster fan and I just messed up my other one in case you didnt see my thread on "How to disassemble rolex". Thanks for letting me know. BTW the link is broken.
  18. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=852 compared to this http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=853 Im not sure if the exter 100+ is worth it for the Rolesium. I need to get a new watch but Im confused. Also, is only the "PERFECT" waterproofed?
  19. Sorry to have to ask but it seems like all the tutorials are gone due to the Knowledge Base not being here anymore.
  20. Ugghh...one of the pins from the dial broke off. Can I just use tape to hold it in place? Also, what happened to the watch hand tutorial that was on here? Can't seem to find it.
  21. I think I got it on. It had like 2 small holes, right? Question is, its fit, but is the thing where the hand goes supposed to be a bit off center? It goes slightly towards the right of the hole, not smack dowin in the middle. Also, is the silver ring that goes under the dial supposed to snap into the movement or no? As for the pins, all of the markers seems to have pins because I can see the gold underneath the dial in pin form. The 12 oclock and 6 oclock seemed to be glued on though.
  22. Heres whats wrong with the watch. 1. The hands need to be put back on the watch (I took them off by accident). 2. The dial itself needs to be put back onto the movement. 3. The Lume and Marker needs to be reattached to each other and then glued back onto the dial. 4. Needs to be reassembled after that. Anyone know of any good makers in Los Angeles?
  23. Wow thank goodness. I just looked on the table where i was doing the work yesterday and the two clamps are there! Yes! So....my question still remains regarding the lume. One more question. How do I know if the dial is broken or not? I can't seem to get it to "snap" on the movement. Also, any good watchmakers in Los Angeles that will work on reps?
