  1. Let me see if I understand. The lume and marker are not connected to each other, which is the reason I opened it. When I opened it, the marker came off also. So, do I first use epoxy to on the lume to "glue" it on the marker? After those two are put together, use epoxy on the marker and "glue that to the dial? Well Im not sure where the other case clamp is. I only know that one of them is in the movement. I have tried shaking it but it wont come out. What do I do since Im missing the other clamp? How much do you think it will cost since the movement has to be disassembled?
  2. Thanks guys. My problem arent the hands at the moment since there are bigger problems as I mentioned. Ill try to describe it better. I dont have a cam so Ill use other pics I find online. 1. The stuff that I boxed in black is what Im missing. Without it, the watch doesn't stay in place. At least 1 fell into the movement and now I don't know where it is since it went underneath. I believe its called a case spacer? 2. The gold and the lume itself came off. I colored it blue since it looks blue now.
  3. Hi Freddy. Heres a couple things that is wrong with the watch atm, so Im not sure if it can be fixed yet? As I stated, the whole reason I opened the watch was to reattach the lume. Heres the following things that is wrong with the watch. 1. The gold part under the lume somehow came off and I don't know where it as at the moment. 2. The silver clasps under the 1.2mm screws are missing (1 actually fell into the swiss part). With those problems, can the watch be fixed? Anyone know a good watchmaker in Los Angeles?
  4. No its not new its a couple of months old. lol I did mess it up. A 280 dollar watch! What happened was the lume came off so I decided to open it. I got the 1.2 mm driver, got the screws out, then the silver straps under the screws came off and went inside the Swiss. Freaked out so I decided to just go get hte lume, which was under the dial. Came off and then the hands came off as well. Well its a lessen learned. If youre not experienced, dont bother. Im really [censored] that such a nice watch has just went to waste. Is there anything I can do with it now? I know I can't wear it but can it go to good use?
  5. I have opened the case back and I need to get the watch out so I can put the lume back in place. Im not sure which screws to take out. Its a Swiss ETA 2836-2. Are there any good tutorials? I found this one http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....s+guide+watches but its of a POS and I dont want to just guess which screw I need to get out.
  6. Thanks. So Ultimate 1:1 means its basically the same as gen in regards to dials, etc?
  7. If I were to open the watch, what would I see? I have a Swiss already in my Rolex that I bought from Andrew. Are the differences huge? Are New Asias considered the same as Copy-ETA? Also, any idea on the Ultimate 1:1 compared to the other ones? I notice theres like a 10-20 dollar difference. Can I only buy the ETA 7750 from that one person?
  8. Hello, Ive got a few questions. I did a search and couldn't find the answers. Im looking to buy a BCE. 1. What is Ultimate 1:1? How does it differ from the other 2. Whats the difference between New Asia Valjoux 7750 and the Swiss ETA 7750? Is it noticeable? Are there pics showing the two? Thanks a lot.
  9. Is it like this? just cut a square of duct tape, put the sticky end over the case back, grab the excess that doesnt cover the case, push down and twist?
  10. NVM I found that it is 1.2mm that I need, thanks agaiN!
  11. WOW THANKS. Yes, it does quick set. Thats actually how the lume came off oddly enough. I rewound the watch and I noticed that it was 8 oclock so I winded the hands backwards. When I did that, the hands kind of got stuck and then proceeded after about .5 seconds. Right when that happened, the lume came off. I dont know how since it doesnt touch the lume but thats what happened. Do you know what size of screwdrivers I need? Found a tut but doesnt specify, think most people just have a full kit. Thanks again I appreciate it!
  12. Hi Ive got a question. Im looking to buy a Breitling Chronomat Evolution and I noticed that there are two different movements. New Asia Valjoux 7750 and Swiss 7750. What exactly are the differences between the two? Id figure that the New Asia would be better since it says "Valjoux" and thats what the real Brietling has but at the same time the real one is a Swiss. I know that Asian movements on other watches generally are cheaper, but I have no clue why. What are the differences between New Asia Valjoux 7750 and Swiss 7750? THx
  13. Just to clarify, I can just buy the Bergeon Case Opener: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Oyster-Case-Open...id=p3286.c0.m14 and the entire watch with the dial will come out after that, whereupon I can just glue the marker back? If so, are both sides to the marker luminescent or is it a single side? Im not quite sure what you were stating about the date. "Move forward in a quick set position"? When I move the date up, it goes and clicks when it hits the next day. Also, I can't seem to set the date going backwards, is the watch supposed to only go forward when setting?
  14. I got the watch from Andrew at TrustyTime: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=617 MOVEMENT: Swiss ETA 2836-2 Automatic What do you mean that the lume can be "reset"? Doesnt it just need to be glued on the gold plate? Could I just buy a Bergeon to open the case back and get to the marker that way?
  15. Wow this is nice. Are there any dealers that sell the boxset?
  16. How do you open with Duct Tape? Will this ruin the hologram? As for Bergeon, why not get this $35 one? http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Watch-Oyster-Cas...id=p3286.c0.m14
  17. I dont have a camera sorry. For some reason the picture that I posted is gone, here it is: Basically, the sticker on the 12 oclock came off and now the gold is exposed. On the picture, what it would be is that the black sticker came off. I have a white sticker on my watch. Its the luminiscent sticker that glows in the dark. Also, the date for some reason works now. I think it jams once in awhile because now the date changes when I use the crown dial. 2 days ago it got stuck on the 12th and it wouldnt move anymore. Yesterday I checked the watch and it was on the 14th. I think that once the day passed, the inside of the watch must have recalibrated or something. I have no clue but its just a guess. Either way, is there a way to stop it from jamming? Thanks.
  18. Thats not my watch as I have the blue one with white markers, but I pointed out the problems on the different color. The marker (red) has come off and now only the gold is exposed. The marker is in the case but it moves around since its not stuck to the gold plate anymore. Also, the date (green) can't be changed. It got jammed or something. I can still move the wheel in the date position but the date wont change. Please help, I love this watch! thx
  19. My mistake, dont know why I typed that. Meant BEST GRADE.
  20. That black date just is really nice. I bought my first watch from Andrew and I love it. Ive looked on those scam sites for years and until I found this site, I didnt buy any of them. So I guess I have my dream watch now. The next one that I want is a Breitling. Maybe after that would be a Corum or Graham.
  21. I bought the Best Grade 2006 Boxset from Andrew and theres a few pieces that didnt come with it which I am trying to collect. I saw this site: http://www.qualitytyme.net/pages/accessories But there prices are overpriced. The box alone that I got from andrew (minus all the stuff that came with it) is over 40 dollars more. Can anyone recommend a good site to complete my boxset?
  22. Thanks By-Tor. I have actually been reading some of your STICKIES and they were very helpful. I still like the other one that I posted up above though. Should it basically be the same watch but just with a different casing. As far as the movement is concerned, when it comes to Rolex, isnt the Swiss movements the best choice? I dont really know what these Asia and stuff movements are that I have been seeing on other watches today.
