  1. Well it's just to protect yourself as well as the buyer. Like I mentioned, treat it like a business. You are exchanging money and seeing that the item can be damaged since it goes through a medium to get to the buyer, it's the safest way to avoid trouble. In my opinion, when shipping items, you shouldn't ship it like the other dealers do. Ship it in a small box and fill the entire box so that it's solid. Ive lost item contents because the packages weren't "filled" so that left it easier to be abused when it went through the packaging system. Even if it costs shipping a little bit more, it leaves you with confidence. Have you decided what avenue you are going to take? If it was me, I would learn from my mistake and refund him, but that's just me. It's a tough lesson, but it's better late then never. Probably easier said than done though since I dont know the value of the watch lol.
  2. I myself would put that at fault of the buyer since he didn't contact you within 48 hours of it being received. You should have laid out any return/warranties before it was sold to have avoided this problem, since now it's his word versus yours. Like I stated, based on the facts, I would put that at the buyers fault. However, since you failed to mention any agreements that you made with him when he purchased it, it could really go either way. You could give him the refund to show that you are a good businessman or you could refuse it to show that people can't get away with messing up a watch and then blaming it on being DOA. In the future, be sure to lay these plans out. It will save you the hassle in the future. Treat transactions as you would a professional business. Good luck.
  3. EDIT: NVM, I'll just stick with this one. It's cheap but I do like the dial a lot better. Thanks again guys. Has anyone got pics to the gen? All I have found so far on the bay is the 3151. Thx Hooky and TeeJay, So it's word play that they are basically doing then? I'm just going to shell out 358 for the 3151 then: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...products_id=541
  4. But its just as durable as sapphire, just man made?
  5. Thx wraithride. Was it from Trusty? Do you have pics? That would really help me since I only have the ones trusty provides. I'm still looking to see if other dealers might have it but I can't find any. If not, Ill just order from Trusty again.
  6. Hi TTK and FxrAndy, Thanks FxrAndy, I was unaware of that. I have an Asian 21J and it works pleasantly fine. As far as using TTK, I don't think there are any other dealers with this watch as I can't find any. I've used him before I had a good transaction however I'm aware that other people have not. I guess I should email all the dealers and see if they have it before purchasing from TTK. Thanks for the help TeeJay!
  7. I'm thinking of getting Jules Audemars and it has Asian Manual Wind: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...;products_id=51 What are you experiences with it?
  8. Hi Teejay, What I'm still confused about (forgive me I'm slow...) is the sapphire vs synthetic sapphire. On TTKs site, he sells watches that are both Sapphire and Synthetic Sapphire. Obviously, the two are different or else he would have just sold them all labeled as Sapphire. But perhaps you did answer my question but I didn't understand it. Are what you saying is that Synthetic Sapphire is just as good as his watches labeled just plainly as "Sapphire"? I'll address my question on the movement in the "Movement Q&A" section. Dummy me Thanks again!
  9. Thx TeeJay. I was just worried if the crystal would hold up to the same conditions as the advertised "sapphire". As far as the movement, is there any web sites or posts on it?
  10. Hello, I'm thinking of buying an Audemars Piguet Classique: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...;products_id=51 I'm not sure how accurate it is to the original, would help if anyone could chime in? My main question is how different is Synthetic Sapphire from Sapphire? Same with mineral crystal? Also, any experiences with Asian Manual Wind? Thanks.
  11. I just found a new one from watchmark A.Lange&Sohne automatic. Not sure what movement is used however: http://www.timeshops.net/A_Lange_Sohne_automatic_631.htm
  12. I need help in finding a good budget moonphase watch. I'd prefer it to have SS bracelet. I have only found Patek Philippe and Jaegar LeCoultre so far on Trusty Time (both leather). Calastrava has Asian 21 J with Sapphire Crystal and Solid Stainless Steel 220L for $118 and $128 respectively: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=3521 http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=3522 Theres also a Jaegar Le Coultre that I like but it has "synthetic sapphire" crystal for $98. However, this one has Solid Stainless Steel 316L. http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...products_id=150 Any other good recommendations? Any experiences with these watches?
  13. Might be obvious, but does that "Moonphase" disc turn to a sun when it's daytime?
  14. Wow that's nice! It reminds me of the Audemars Piguet Jules Audemar Classic Rose Gold. Hopefully these get repped.
  15. What do you mean by "fried"? There was no danger to buyers accounts though was there?
  16. http://www.beltal.com/i/299/5207882/wholes...ONDS-WATCH.html It doesnt specify what the movement is but $65?!
  17. Wanted to know if there are any recommendations for the Los Angeles area? I need my watch cleaned on the inside because there's some dust specs inside due to idiotically opening it to fix the lume. Thanks.
  18. I was looking for something like Burberry. BTW, whos Trevor? Does he have a site?
  19. I'm looking to buying some casual shoes for business. Any good sites that anyone can recommend?
  20. Thanks all. I guess I will just get the Rodico. Are there any stores that I can just walk in and buy it or do I have to purchase it online? Thanks for the expertise The Zigmeister.
  21. This is great and helpful. Thanks for the resource.
