Pics of my trip to Isle Maurice (Mauritius)
Boutchou69 replied to Samurai's topic in General Discussion
I went to Mauritius a dozen of times... but I guess that's easy when you had been living for 20 years in an island that's 200 km far from Mauritius Like everyone, I'm more interested in the photo of the second post -
Brussels annual Get Together, the 2009 V1.0.

Too bad. Although I live in Brussels, I'm not there on may 23rd. In another country, in another hemisphere... bad timing :s -
A7750 is the standard movement in replica chronograph watches. When they replicate a watch, they don't replicate the movement, they take one that has the good size...
-
Almost every watches with 7750 are asian movement. A genuine valjoux 7750 is expensive...

Hi Bub. Be careful, when you buy your first one, you become addicted. You can also buy from PT, another excellent dealer in UK. But UK customs aren't troublesome, so the other dealers can be considered as well.

It spoils the fun. Bad rotor noise makes me doubt about the Swisss ETA 2836-2, and date changing at the wrong time is a bit annoying since it's a silly flaw that could have been avoided. If I can check the first thing and correct the second, no doubt I'll fall in love with this watch. O boy, throw it with the garbages

Thank you for your replies. I thought pics were superfluous since everyone post about this model since PT announced it. But if I can get a good light this evening, I'll take some pics and post them here. Is there any specialist on the model number ?

Hi, I ordered PT's Submariner "supreme edition", the same as By-Tor's (non engraved version, flat S...), my very first one. Payed on sunday, in my letterbox on wednesday. That's fast ! But I am somewhat doubtful. Maybe someone can help the noob I am. 1) I expected to see "16610" on the case, but "11610" is written. I have no idea what are the differences between the two in the first place... Guys ? 2) the rotor's noise sounds cheap (keep in mind I'm a noob, maybe that's the way it's supposed to sound). I guess a bit of lub on the rotor axis should help making a "smoother", less "metallic" noise. Alas, I don't even have the tool to open the case. 3) date is changing at 11:39. A cheap repair once again, but even if I had the tools, I don't have the skills to do it. And I don't know any rep-friendly watchmaker. Come on, how could they build these beauties and make these mistakes ? I guess that's why Eurotimez mentions the checking in his QC policy. 4) clasp is tight as hell. But a fellow rwg member advised me to use a bit of WD-40 on it. Must buy it first I guess neither 2) nor 3) justifies a claim to PT (unless you have a different opinion). Stephane is kindly inspecting the watch for me next week, but any help or remark from the community is gladly welcomed.

Hi from Belgium too -
I agree with Toadtorrent. With Sony and Pentax, you get the image stabilization the cheap way (in the camera body). It's much more expensive with Nikon and Canon since you have to buy IS lenses. With Sony, you'll probably have an easier time finding used lenses on ebay since every Minolta AF lenses are compatible. Go with Nikon only if you plan to upgrade on more advanced segments later.

Don't worry, I'm no administrator but if the thread continues for too long in french, they might say something since it's in the rules that all posts must be in english. It seems that it's tolerate here. Tu verras que le forum est une bonne source d'informations

Beware... you're supposed to post your public messages in English fellow frenchmen

Aquaracer Chronograph - day wheel problem ?
Boutchou69 replied to Boutchou69's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
That's all I needed to know, thank you By-Tor. BTW, I chose this watch because of your review -
Hi everyone I recently bought my first replica watch : an Aquaracer Chronograph Day Date. Everything seems fine, except one thing : the day changes at about 2:30 while there's no problem with the date (it changes at 00:00). It bothers me a little, since it doesn't seem to be a right behaviour. Is there a way to fix this ? or should I contact my dealer (PT) for this ? (and I will post pics when the bracelet is resized )
