  1. Thank you sql_pl and FxrAndy for your suggestions. I was very impressed by the pics you included. That's a beautiful watch. I already sent a message and and an email to David, asking him if he has an available case. I cross my fingers. Thank you both for the tips. I feel honored to have received replies from members who have such a long history in the forum. Best. Jaime
  2. Hi fellows: I have been in this forum for about four years, but I have not posted much. I usually read the WATCHES trade section and this has developed my interest in franken watches. I think assembling Franks is a lot of fun. Maybe more than than collecting standard replicas. I have already modified (with the help of my watch master) a Rolex Oysterquartz, Omega Speedmaster and I'm in love with the Tudor Montecarlo. I already have the Valjoux 7734 movement, the hands and the dial (aftermarket) Now comes the difficult part; the case and crystal. I have tried with a couple of replica Daytona cases and an Invicta Speedway but the movement height is not enough. I checked the internet and found one supplier, who guarantees the movement will fit in the case but it's a little expensive. Can someone suggest where to look for an affordable case that make house the 7734 ? Thank you in advance for your comments. Regards. Alter
  3. Thank you all for the tips on sourcing a 115200 rep. I'll check and get back with my findings as soon as I have something to report. Thank you again for your help. Alter
  4. Hi: This is my first post on this forum and I'd like to introduce myself, before addressing the topic on the title. I bought my first Rolex (Date Perpetual) back in 68 (lots of things happened in 68 and since then). I have owned quite a few gen watches, including one of the mot sought, the venerable DRSD. Also a 5512 and two 5513s, as well as several datejusts and subs came and went. Definitely keepers, I still own and Explorer 1016, OQ 17000, Datejust 1601, Airking 5500 and a Tudor Sub 79190. I still hope to own a Daytona, but that's something I'll have to postpone once more time. A few years back I bought a ETA powered rep AP Royal Oak and a Panerai Radiomir (the big one) with a Swiss 6497 movement. Buying a replica is no equivalent to owning the real thing but,it sure gives the owner the feeling of wearing a $ 5 or 10 K watch, spending a fraction of the cost of the genuine. So, In my opinion , buying a replica may help you decide very comfortablY AND WITHOUT THE PREASURE OF DECIDING AT THE DEALER'S COUNTER what gen you really want to own. tOday I have about 2 dozen reps and I continue buying more. My last purchase, a Hublot Mille Miglia. I love the sucker. Pending is the stunning Breguet Aeronavale. Well, the point of this post is asking the experts which way should I go to find a reliable source for a not so common Rolex Perpetual Date Ref 115200 (34 mm), with the new designed dommed bezel. It's a beauty. I had the real one on my wrist at an AD in Cozumel last week and I haven't been able to sleep well, since then. I've checked in the net and there a few dealers selling for EU customers at 300 Euros with a japanese movement version, which I think is too expensive. Furthermore, never heard of these dealers who advertise in Spanish and English. Can someone please give me a hand to direct my search ? Thank you in advance for your suggestions. Best Regards. Alter
  5. Thank you By Tor for such a comprehensive review of the TT replica Sub. By he way, excuse my ignorance, but why calling this particular piece a "noobmariner" I believed "noobie" watch stood for first cheap replica for the beginners, but your review claims this is the best or among the best replicas of the Rolex classic Sub. Thank you again fo your insightful article. Alter
  6. Hi all: I'v been in the market for a Breguet Aeronavale rep o sometime. I ordered one from a non well known dealer and It ended up being a hoax. Can someone give me a hand telling me where to look ? Thank you for reading this help me message. best Alter
  7. Wonder ifsomeone can tell me if thre is a replica version of this clasic. Thank you or your help. Alter
  8. All I have found come from dubious sites in the internet that are under the same umbrella. Can someone suggest where to look ? Thanks a lot for your help. Best regards Alter
  9. I have to agree. Some may yawn but this is a topic thta will always attract replica collectors. In mylimited experience I have to mention a) Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (the original 37 m model, not the monsster contemporaries) Explorer 1 (even the cheap $128 CN movement are remarkably well made) c) The IWC Ingenieur d) Early GMT Panerai
  10. Thank you fore the tip Toadtorrent. I can see what you say. I have seen low end replicas that I wouldn't take even if they are for free. I'll check the source you quote. I've heard they are not crooks, so even if the quality does not match the Asian automatics at least I know the risk of loosing my money is not part of the deal (I hope). Thank again for your help. Regards Alter
  11. Hi: I've ben looking for a quartz Costeau Aquatimer for sometime and all I have been able to get isinformation on automatic Asian 7750s powered. The reason I'd like a quartz is accuracy and reliability. Can someone share some information on who to order from ? Thank you for reading Alter
  12. I hadn't noticed. Thank you for your help. Alter.
  13. Hi: Welcome to the forum. I read a lot here and post very little but your question is quite challenging and deserves as many answers as possible. Ladies reps are not as common as mens reps. This is a sort of male adiction. Still there are quite a few replica watches for women that will make you happy. Besides the Rolexes and Omega Constellations - I particularly like the TT small version with saphire hour markers - there are many ladies replicas in the market. I think Hermes, Hublot, Chopard and Cartier will please you. But I'm prejudiced, favor Cartier. I think the Ballon Blue, the Tortue and the Tank are magnificent pieces. My favorite is the Tank Francais in gold and croc strap. You can also order it with SS, with a bracelet. Quite a watch that looks great in most female wrists. As far as where to find the one you like. Well, keep on reading posts and you'll gather a lot of information where to look for the replica you want. Good hunt. (that was male) Good luck is probably more appropriate Best Alter
  14. Hi: I've been a member of this forum for sometime and I was not aware of the fact that there are some limitations for posting on the Watch Trade forum. Can someone tell me what requirements you need to meet so as to post there ? Thank you all for the information you may share with me. Best Alter
  15. I was surprised that I was refused starting a topic at the Trade Forum. I wanted to post a trade ad. I have been a member of this forum for sometime and I have no idea of the reason behind this limitation. Can someone advise me on this respect ? Thank you for reading. Alter
  16. There is an ad describing a Daytona rep as a DW cased Daytona. Can someone shed some light on the "DW" category ? What is a DW Daytona ? Thank you for reading. Alter
  17. up load my avatar ? Thank you for your help and time. Alter
  18. That's a good reason. It's very likely that you'll be back for more though. Gens are great but not as much fun. We'll be here when you feel the need to know what is going on in the replica world. Enjoy your gen. Alter
  19. Rolex, Omega and Breitling seem the perfect balance. I think your choices will make happy any collector. I personally would drop the Ebel and Fish and I'd ad the IWC Ingenieur and the classic Breitling TT Chronomat with a blue bezel. Congratulations and thank you for sharing. Jaime
  20. Thank you for sharing such a wealth of information. Cheers ! Alter
  21. Hi: I don't know if it is appropriate to ask for information about where to find a replica of this ladies model. I'm thinking of geting a rep before I buy the gen for my grild friend. You know sometime women fall in love or hate some of our choices to dress their wrists. I'd appreciate if you could give any helpful information about it. Thank you in advance for your suggestions. Regards Alter
