The 7750 has a nice large rotor to emulate the gen sized rotor, but they could have used a number of seagull movements that would have fitted better
-
Are you using the hands that came off the watch originally ?
What watch is it?
A new hand set may well be the best solution
-
Well the panerai gmt 89 uses an A7750 gmt with the chrono parts removed and they are reliable so I think the chances are good

Your not telling me this is a rep are you?
Please tell me they have repped this!!!
-
We will see when it gets to me
-
If I can get them that is
-
That's a shame, I wonder if the Swiss 7750 gmt parts would fit
-
Well I have not heard of an 89 that has had a problem and if there is an 89 owner with a broken one I want to buy it, the nicest thing on the 89 is the dial. Now I have 2 gen IWC, a gen Rolex 1680 and a gen omega, oh and I nearly for got my zenith, and they don't get a look in these days!
-
I think the TC is the only one that will be good enough for an old timer like you, I don't need to tell you why, it simply is
-
Man the 89 is just perfect, I have had it on since last May and never a problem, the 7750 is great
-
Hello pug wash what brings you back!
-
You know I can, still got the address? No promises on time though as I am away quite a bit these days
-
Could be over banked, a palet stone sitting on the wrong side if the escape wheel, fairly easy fix if it is that

You may like full gold bit stainless attracts a little less attention but does stand the test of time

Gentlemen and ladies ( if we have any) good watch smiths in the EU are hard to find that will work on reps,
We have seen time and time again people who take on too much work and their quality suffers, if Jesus is good ( and I have no reason to doupt with a name like that, then don't mob him)
If you have positive experiences then share them, if you have cause for concern then share them,
To the OP, please warn Jesus off that by you advertising his services here his work load can increase very quickly, ask him to maintain quality and communication rather than quantity.

My vote goes to the 89, worn it almost every day since I got it last year, and has been to kasachstan, Sweden, UK, Spain, Zambia, Zimbabwe and now India ( pain with the half hour time zone though) I love the 7750 gmt, if I see on of these for sale new or nearly new in the EU I may just buy it for a spare!
-
Top ones look like a gen speedy reduced 2894 auto and the bottom one looks like, well, it looks like shit, with a faux chrono cheep Asian movement

I would assume that with a broken stem it would it would not wind at all but if he had to glue a new one in then maybe it was stripped threads in the crown and that was why it was slipping, at least it is working now
-
I have a number of parts to mod a 1665 in my spare parts collection like a new crown and tube, dial and movement ect if any one is looking for parts
-
I would expect that all are 28800 these days, it has been a long time since I have seen a 21600 7750
-
If this is a 2836 then ensure you only depress the crown removal pin with a 1.2mm screw driver ( there is a 1.2mm slot for a reason) and only do that and remove the stem in the hand set position
-
The parts are generally replaceable but it does require the movement being disassembled
-
I would say that is a dirty main spring issue, can be easily fixed by replacing it with a Swiss new 6497/2 main spring and barrel
