Interesting point. Maybe I should try ETA hands? I don't have some around but I'll order a set of ETA hands too...
-
A .05 larger than gen hands (so gen hands could be opened up to fit
A is the right answer to the 64k question It is definitely too much to open up the gen hands.
-
What is the difference in the sizes of the hands can you mesure the hour wheel and canon pin
The watch is already reassembled, but I asked Angus if he can supply a new set of hands as I now have LV hands in a LN 16610... As soon as I (hopefully) get the other hands I'll take precise measurements.
Looks like hour and minute hands are at least .05 mm larger in diameter.

Hey Guys,
So the first built of the year is already starting really bad.
The SA3135, promised to take genuine hands, does not accept gen hands. Gen dial, date wheel is perfectly OK. It works in an ETA Swiss 1:1 case, but the genuine hands do not work on this movement.

Hey Guys,
Title says everything: Does anyone of you know the serial number M952351 from a rep case?
Thanks and regards!
-
bracelet and end link fitment is shitty imo. OK, there are worse replications out there, but I'd expect more from something claimed as 1:1
-
But why get a TT Day Date? It screams fake to anyone that does actually know the Day Dates as they were never available in bicolor.
-
What makes you believe those hands are genuine Rolex parts?
-
That thing is a bad joke!!!
Case lug profile is totally wrong, SEL fitment not more than acceptable, rehaut wokky, cut outs to access the spring bars are wrong (why don't they get something that easy right???), crown position to low, bezel is shitty....
This is obviously from the same completely blind, def and dumb 1:1 replicator as the Explorer II released before.
-
...unless extremely rare ...
Those straps are extremely rare. But still the price is insane. Last of those straps I saw sold for around $1.5k
-
I'd say rep - a cheap one.
Pushers and pusher surrounding is too small, crown looks small. Bezel too thin, sub dial colour wrong and so on...

looks like terrible end link fitment and building a SEL bracelet from a non-SEL genuine and claiming that it is 1:1 is just [censored].
-
looks like a mighty fine GMT Master 1675 18k with Concorde hands.
-
...clone of the 3035...
ME WANT BADLY!!!!
-
The 3035 date wheel that you'd need building a perfect 16800 does not work on the 3135, neither gen 3135 nor SA3135. On the 3035 movement the date rotates in the opposite direction.

bought a set from him for a 1:1 16610 sub, it was too loose and fogged under the crystal. i could push the assembly on by hand, ultimately returned it. his stuff is no good. im now convinced of this ad nauseam . even his crown tubes have a high rate of failure, ripping right in half during a routine install, the metal is a cheap light tin or something, yukis are built way better
Exactly the same problems here. His claims of 1:1 are [censored], his bezel assembly does not work on genuine cases.

Hey guys,
do you know if the Rolex Minute Wheel can be used in the El Primero running at 36k bph? Would help to get around the problem of the canon pinion not working with the el primer minute wheel...
Thanks!
-
Super woky rehaut, crystal is shitty.
-
I still think its worth it to build one of those beauties.
At least with the parts prices here in Europe you'll end up around 3500 to 3800 € for a seriously good one including a genuine bracelet. The gens are at least double the money, if they are in good condition easily in the range of 9k-10k Euros.
-
Maybe there is another Hour Wheel 4030-280 in your parts bin? *gg* That's all I need
-
Does anyone of you maybe have an hour wheel (part number 4030-280) left? That's all that is currently missing in my parts box to finally convert a Zenith for a 16520 built....
-
What case back from which source will you use?
Looks like a very very interesting project!
-
The spare parts numbers for the bezel assemblies are the same for 16710 and 16610 according to Rolex R203 parts catalogue.
The only difference is the click spring.
-
Same but different click spring.
The new year's first disappointment: The SA3135 does not take genuine hands
in The Rolex Area

The movement itself really is impressive. Good quality, good finishing, feels and behaves like a genuine item, takes genuine date wheel and dial without any modification... but it really bothers me that the stop right in the middle on their way to a correct replication and don't make a gen stem or hands fit.
