I think Leonado deserves a special place in the forums.

He had unveiled the truth about the mbw myth for the average members like me.

No doubt the secret german elite members knew all about it. I am sure they had a good time laughing at people imagineries..

Before Leonado I imagined Maria as the boss in chief of a complex replica watch ring..

like the capo di capi of the high end watch forgeries which were of course bought by reputable collectors at the same time they bought their other timepieces at antiquorum or HENRYS auktionshaus.

german Mr. Maria did also confirm that with no resaon at all

makin a tale out of it... he met Maria two months ago...

Your right that especially amongst some german (or mostly located

in germany) rep-collectors the country of the mbw-wm watches

was an open secret... inside of this board the dealers knew

each other and most of them also know the real identity amongst

themselves... Leonado was one of the members and he quit

when the whole thing got charged and membership wasnt

free any longer... but what the heck... he didnt cared that

much cause he was one of the members (including Maria) that

knew the proper source of the asian stall holder in thailand.

You even cant sign in unless another member recommends

you as "trusted" and if an existant member retires.

BTW this above info is not from Leonado but from somebody

still active inside the board... they always have the latest

pics of the models 5 to 6 months earlier than posted

on the free boards some also do have other prices i guess...

I cant tell you more cause i definitely will get a phone call

and a pleasant attendance of a semi-sumo-wrestler they just

call oddjob dressed well in a suit and he definitely will

...be a little patient before glueing them back to quick!

So take youre time in resizing the height of the screws

just a tiny bit by grinding them...

Me think the "holes" where the gen screws

sit on the gen also do appear a little bit like

a "sharper cut out octagon" as it is on the rep...

I havent made up my mind about this issue but

maybe someone could try to carefully rasping

the wholes with a triangular file but i think you

have to drill first 8 holes thru the bezel to get

god access with a file though...

Damn it would for sure give the bezel an awesome

look if you manage to fit the screws just a little

bit under the level of the bezel

If i manage to get 1 set of the brass screws out

of my 15202 rep and send it to this factory i

definitely will show you the results... i guess

making 16 instead of just 8 screws of solid bezel screws

must not be too much of a difference in price

Ill keep you informed but im very "monopolized"

with work at the time...

The sooner i get my screws out the faster

i can ask the factors on estimated price

me cause i own all 3 kinds of dial models (white/blue/black)

Last night, I removed all 8 of the bezel 'screws' so that I could resecure them to the bezel properly.

Congrats!!

I think the successful removing of the "screws" is much harder

than the last mod you did on the bracelet by cutting one fixed link out...

I also did the modding of the bracelet and have to say respect

cause i didnt yet made up my mind on how to remove the screws

without ruining the bezel!!

Your right the gen comes with 14k WG bolt screw and rhodinized finish.

In my opinion you got now 2 ways you can go now:

1. Plating the screws

But i dunno how good it will look concernig "finish" and

if the would fit properly after havin them plated...

Never mind about the brassy look of the screws,

some gens do look very yellow too

Heres a pic of the gen

You can also see on the pic that the screws do appear more yellow then the

indexes and hands although they were all said to be made of 14 WG rhodinized.

For myself the risk would be too high gettin no good result on the plating method.

2. Buy some WG from a jeweller and let yourself produce some WG screws

of the same dimension and look!

I will definitely go for method Nr. 2 if i will have some more time to deal

with my watch...

I already found me a company in germany thats specialized in industrial screw

production and they told me they can process and finish EVERY material

and it would be (even if you have to buy the WG somewhere else) way

much cheaper than the work of a jeweller!!

BTW i have another new and never used TW best 36mm RO case with

sapphire case back and silver looking screws but forget about it...

The screws of the RO jumbo are a tiny bit bigger and i already thought

about replacing them but i dont think that this will look fine...

P.S. Dont forget to place the screws of your jumbo a little bit deeper

into the bezel when you put them back... look on the gen and youll make

your RO look from 65% up to 90% more accurate!

If you want i can forward you the link of the company located in

germany to make you a estimation on price.

What to do and who to believe when theres conclusion against conclusion?

Beeing familiar with some guys and a german collector from munich

i meet that knows Mr. Maria in person... i had the oportunity to "check" some

of Mr. Leonados statements. He also claimed to know him (Maria)...

and most of the things ive been told turned out to be affirmed

by the other side... he also is member of a secret german board

on the net where most all of the "mbw" dealers are signed in and

Mr. Maria...

Im not able to tell all even if i know some more facts...

Ive seen and heard enough from first-hand that my conclusions

may easily hit the bull`s eye... and its not all about Maria there

are few more makin a living out of rep biz.

I have to throw every fact into the 2 weighing scales if i want

to find out which conclusion might be nearer to the truth Neil...

A simple example:

Beeing in insurance biz for years you wont hear somethin

bad about insurances when i want to sell somethin

You bet i do cause i make a living out of it self-employed for

8 years...

I think soemthing similar goes for you concernig watches

cause you also "make a living out" of it...

Anybody (even Leo) can write and talk a lot on the board

but havin a "good" reason or as Pug said havin an "Agenda"

to behave like somethin or for telling somethin thats often

somethin else... And with good reason i mean, how high is

the plausibility of that whats been said to be the truth or not?

And what could be the logical reason for it??

One good thing is that gettin a watch aint such a good reason

for me to agree with all whats been told from the person i got it from...

If theres a plausible reason... i disagree... if not i agree.

If facts do change i dont hesitate to change my opinion about

anybody.

Havin the opportunity on a watch or not... no matter

Leo had an agenda, and we never really found out what it was.

...we did business and he told me some things as a few other

people i had the opportunity to meet with.

Thats all...

He stood to his promise concerning a watch he

brought to me at the airport... i bought it from him.

Friends means more to me...

I dont encourage harsh words and conversations that

took place in the past. I really have to say that there

was from both sides much bull**** talking... i would have

enjoyed it much more if the conversation was lead in a

more objective and factual way instead of ppl insulting

each other...

Agenda?

Concerning agenda (because i asked him too) is the

only thing i can tell you that the main reason for him

unveiling the truth about the mbw-wm-watch-mystery

or whatever you would call it, was that (some) dealers

were really doing snobbish biz with watches from the

mbk-stall... I mean the "No-watch-for-you" Syndrome...

High prices and the fear of some "Who-has-the-best-sub-

questioner" gettin no watch at all that also lead to the end

in scamming some members here and on other boards

because the fear of getting no watch at all was too big.

BTW the second watch (an PP Nautilus jumbo) he had

brought from thailand went to another member that got

defrauded of his money in an older transaction with

so called Mr. Luckyy... Both watches were sold for

quite the same price he paid at mbk.

I for myself hate favoritism or havin to suck up to

someone for gettin a proper offer on a watch.

Rules have to be simple and equitable...

Concerning Neil he just was upset cause he didnt

accredited it that much that Leo showed him were to

get the vintage rolies in TH.

As far as he told me he was never up in gettin

another mbw-wm-dealer although you could have guessed

somethin like it when you just read whats been

going on on here and on rwi, trc.

I think it had also personal reasons to act in

such a way telling the truth about the "source"

of this reps cause he knew most of mbw-dealers

personally... Here in germany there are some

like "Mr.Maria" or "Mr.Watchmaster" and others

i know some stories from another mutual friend

who is in rep-biz for many years (not his main-biz)

i couldnt even betoken somethin cause nobody

would believe...

If its true that your still concerned about what was

his "agenda" you can email him...

But i dont think whats been said still affects

you so much... thats why i said now its all water

My Brother has been there, not me. I've been in the MBK Centre and I didn't find the stall.

One time i had an "Almost-Mischance" at my office:

I felt asleep as almost whilst reading the rwg "new posts" with my head rushing down towards

my desktop hell-bent for leather hiting the desk just a couple of millimeters away from a

pencil i had hold in my wrist... guys i tell ya.

I was just by a hair's breadth away of loosing my eyesight...

Instantly my secretary rushed in to remove the pencil.

I was angry at her askin why she couldnt be more tentative with me but

she was painting her fingernails...

Another thing of "ill-communication" that annoys me goes like this:

Girlfriend: "What time is it?"

Me: "Its half past ten..."

Girlfriend: "Did you already come?"

Me: "No"

Girlfriend: "What time is it?

Me: "Its ten to ten..."

Girlfriend: "Did you already come?"

Me: "No"

...guess how it ends.
