I'm also looking for one with the right spelling. I could've sworn Angus' Portu says "RESERPE" but if it's been fixed, then I'll definitely order one from him. Angus is a good guy to deal with.
Would appreciate if you could keep us updated of Angus' email response.
Thanks.
On his site, if I remember well, the pics are from mthe old version

I had one from Puretime
Ok the image is not that big but I swear it is the right spelling

bought the levertype, haven't used it yet because the biggest die is only 40mm and most of my watches are 42+.....
Same here
-
I use the bottom type as well.
One thing that I notice in the pictures above is that the screw press comes with flat dies, while the other press comes with both flat and concave dies. Most of the crystals that I've worked with have been domed, and the concave dies have allowed me to apply even pressure to the edge. (The flat dies are great to use on the back of the watch, as the base.) Concave dies may also be used to press bezels in place.
Good to know

Without a doubt, you will have much more control with the screw press.
That was what I thought

Hello,
I wonder what would be the best choice for a watch press between this two. The one with the manual winding or the more automatic one? I would like to remove the glasses of my 42+ mm watches, so I guess I will need to add an extra set of large dies.

Wow...keep us posted. If a readily available, inexpensive auto movement exists to fit a gen dial, that would be amazing. A swap to a non-display back caseback, and you are as close to a gen speedy moon as you can get I think.
That is the idea

I wish it would have been written Panerai or Rolex instead or Seiko on the dial and I am sure we might have seen one of this baby in our dealer store before Richard Garriot might even have the time to fly back to the earth!

Hello,
I wonder if anybody might know if a quartz movement exists to fit this gen dial?
If not is there any other movement (apart from the expensive omega one) that could fit in this dial?

and only 130$ !

I totally understand the addictive feeling

I already had a $15 tool set from china which is quiet helpful. But the case opener is not that good and the screwdrivers are

I guess I am gonna wait and see and go for the cousteau first

Hello,
I would like to buy some tools to start modding and maybe try to service my first movement (and certainly screw it!!!).
I looked around and found some lists and here is what I am supposed to buy:
Movement holder such as the Bergeon No 4040,
dust blower,
screwdriver set with nine sizes (0.5 to 2.6 mm),
#2 tweezers,
#5 tweezers,
4X and 10x loupe, or Optivisor
one headband
covered compartment parts trays,
2mm pegwood bundle,
Pithwood buttons,
Rodico cleaning putty,
Movement cover, and movement tray
Box of watch paper.
Pin Vise,
Caseback Wrench,
Case vise,
Hand setting tool,
Hand remover (Presto #6 recommended or #6 and #1),
Stem Cutting Pliers.
glass press (to send my glass to 2AR), Could you recommend me a press that will be ok for a SMP glass but also for large one like a Pam 177H or a UPO?
Could you tell me from your experience if some things are not essential, some are missing?
thanks in advance
-
ok, thanks
-
that is really nice of you
-
here is the article where they talk about the price
I always wonder why the factories ripped $2000 omega but don't even consider brands like seiko or Sinn which have $3000 and up watches
-
what I really like also is the button on top
De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope
in The Omega Area

I wonder if anyone have seen this model repped?
