Bytor, knowing your taste, you will love this one. I happened to pick the maroon since I have so many of the other colors, but whichever color you choose it's a beautiful watch.

There is a reason why Panerai is taking a back seat to this right now.

To me, the numerals and the subdial look overprinted on all these watches: the font is too bold.

It still looks a little too fake to me- I'll wait for a better dial.

I'll probably have to wait forever.

I dunno.....Held the original (blued hands version) in my hand with the rep. I didn't see that. As a matter of fact I saw no discernible flaws with the naked eye.

It's true, the same peole are here, but much less "Sturm and Drang" then the past board. Maybe it has to do with more moderation amongst the members who'd had it with the actions of the last board.

I'm a guy who likes the old Morgans, Jensen's, Maserati's, etc. . I can actually work on them, unlike my newer car.

Same with Watches (I don't work on them, but appreciate their mechanical excellence, even rep movements).

But, like new cars, Quartz is more reliable. Not better, just more reliable.

You're right on Bytor. I was fortunate enough to buy the Omega 007 a few years ago. I purchased another version six months ago and it doesn't compare.

They make a batch, sell 'em and move on. Same with the Pam 196. the original cases are much more accurate than the ones now. And MBW's are still much better than other vintage rolex reps (which have gotten MUCH better).

Who knows how long this party will last. So enjoy it now.

You made a great choice. The watch is one of the nicest tag's and realllly accurate. I wouldn't let the date issue bother me, but you're Anal, so you have my sympathy.
