  1. I'll add that Mr. Brown is probably one of the most knowledgeable people on these boards. He actually KNOWS stuff that the rest of us can benefit (and have for the last several years). Long before you showed up, we were all learning from HIM.

You're rant is totally out of place, richard tracy. Compared to Mr. Brown, who has been researching reps for years, you and I are newbie's.

.....and I have been around for awhile.

  2. yes, if you are a lazy-ass and a dealer-asskisser it is not enforceable, that is correct!

but if you dont mind to speak up, and if you dont mind to actualy punish a dealer for violating this rule, it is very well enforceable!

I agree. and if they don't follow the rules, they can only post on the other boards. Justice for all :victory:

  3. Looks like it's coming along really well...

My only comment, no matter how thick we want the crowns to be, there is one really important factor that has to be considered if this is going to work...

A too thick crown will not allow the crown to pull out enough to be able to move the keyless works from winding to time setting...so no matter what, if you can't change the time then it's not going to work.

Can't wait to see them in person.

thanks The Zigmeister. The watchmaker I use tried a real crown (from a real gmt he was working on) on my 099. we couldn't pull it out far enough to set the time. His solution would have been to slightly shorten the crown tube, which he say's he would be reluctant to do because if he went to far the opposite would be that you couldn't wind it. I don't know what the measurement's were but we guessitmated that it was .2mm thicker.
