my Survivor shipped with this gAWd-awful rubber strap so I thought it'd be nice to mount it on leather instead based on the case width, I went ahead and got myself a rep leather strap from a Rubens also a couple of straps from APBands and as life would have it, none of them will fit ! being that they're expensive, i'm reluctant to mess with the APBands straps but i was wondering if i could file down the rep leather strap from the Rubens to make it fit the Survivor ?

somehow I don't like the Maratac as much as I would ... say a diver or a leather strap

good to hear I'm faced with a similar issue my Survivor came on rep rubber and i absolutely hated it so I procured a rep leather strap from another AP (Rubens i think) turns out the leather bound Rubens uses thinner connectors to the case than the rubber clad ones on the Survivor I'm wondering if I should try & file the leather strap to make it fit, is that even a possibility ?

had one for a while with a Chief'd out crystal incredible to look at and ran just as well the crown being glued to the tube was highly unreliable though so SpeedyG spot-welded it for me the 2nd time around
