  1. The crown guard took me forever to get the curved top using a standard non-destro one.

I had to dremel the top to get it the right shape. Dremel out the hole on the underside so the pin could fit. Rebrushed the whole thing and did the pin flattening and hot glue fix. whew...that took a couple hours. Here are the results. And the 112 on the last pic that was for sale and no one wanted. LOL

  2. Very nice. :tu: Out of curiosity, what date wheel is that? Lello?

    Also, nice straps? Whos?

    Yup...it's a Lello...but the cyclopse makes a huge difference as well. :)

pic 1: rep black calf (gen black calf and buckle are enroute!)

  3. Well...the final piece was finally installed. I managed to get a sapphire crystal with an embedded cyclopse with a really nice mag. :D

I feel that this is as close to gen as this watch can go without swapping gen parts into it. If anyone has a really good picture of the gen 029b (L SWISS MADE L) I'd really appreciate it if you could post it up. From the crappy gen pics I have i'd say it seems pretty spot on. Here are some pics....enjoy!

I went Artsy fartsy on these pics.... :p

  4. Yep, white dial does exist in both the rep and gen. The gen came in black, grey, blue and white. As mentioned, the pearl is the weakest point on the V2s, I manufactured a pearl and replaced the ugly one on mine. I'm considering an AR treatment but am toying with the possibility that a Skyland crystal may fit in there as well. The CA crystal tends to cause distortion when viewed at an angle. Nice watch, resale value of about $180 US.

Thanks for the info....I don't think I'm really a Breit guy so you may see this in the FS section soon! ;)

  5. Ok...so I'm a PAM guy trying to see what else is out there. Just got a Breitling Ti Chrono Avenger and I have no idea how accurate this rep is...or if it even exists. I have seen black faced ones but I haven't seen any white ones around. First thing I have to say is that it's incredibly light...even when comparing it to a Ti PAM. At first I wasn't sure about it but now it's beginning to grow on me. Can anyone give me the details on this one? All I know is that chrono's function, it keeps excellent time, and the seconds sweep is super smooth...I assume it's an A7750 movement? Which dealers carry these...I have no idea as it was part of a trade. :p

  6. Hello All,

I received my DSN 202A and love it. I already changed the dial with the FGD. It looks awesome. Thanks for all your help on that. Now I am in search of the correct larger crown and crown guard for this watch. Does anyone know where i can find this? Also will the PVD on the new crown guard match my DSN case?

    Thanks in advance!

I tried a PVDed Palp crown which looked really good....but the finish was off. Unfortunately the only PVD crown that will match DSN's would be DSN's.

  7. Hello everyone,

I am about to purchase DSN's Pam 089 Titanium and would like to know what obvious mods I would have to carry out if any. I love this watch and would like to keep it forever. If anyone knows the total cost for these mods and who to use, that would be an added bonus.

    Thanks for listening.

Out of the box...DSN's are really good.

Great looking anthracite dial which is already superlumed, closest to gen hands with smaller GMT arrow tip, nice ARed crystal with a 7mm cyclops, thicker than regular cartel date font....etc

The only things I'd probably change would be the caseback which DSN's is more like it was etched than engraved. I would possibly get a Lello datewheel for it if I was really picky.

Other than that....DSN's 089 is great out of the box. ;)
