  1. Hi TP, I really enjoyed your post. Its a great example of a diverse collection Compliments on your Portuguese... i might have to add it to my collection!!
  2. Excuse my noob question... but what does the abbreviation
  3. Sweeeet... good to see some riders on the forum @ Steve: Nice selection of bikes, bro... especially your Buell. Are you into stuntin or just like the streetfighter look? @ xlr8tn: How long you been riding for... by the look of your race day pic a while I've done a few track days and have only just started to get my knee down... then i came off and was building sand castles My pictures below My '04 GSX-R600 At the track before coming off. Now i'm thinking of turning it into a project bike and turn it into a stunta!!
  4. Hi Steviejay, i can fully understand the importance of swift correspondence. I not only appreciate the service when purchasing reps but also on ebay or any other web base store. If you want super fast correspondence try Ken @ ExecutiveWatches via cqout.com. This guy has supplied the BEST service i have experienced to date. You'll pay 5 - 10% more but he owns all his watches and doesn
  5. On another look all i can imagine is the chrono buttons getting stuck on a loose thread or even a curtain its that bloody big and abrasive...
  6. I never really thought of them adding jewels solely for the promotion of the watch... but it makes sense! If someone in the market for a watch doesn't really know what they are looking at then they might think to themself ''52 jewels has to be better than 17... right!!!!!" So can anyone confirm that something like the A7750 actually has 27 jewels used as pivoting points??
  7. OK... yeah i thought it may have just been a case of Tag up grading things. Cheers for your response
  8. Looks like AP and U-boat got together and brainstormed... a bit to MASSIVE for me
  9. What to bloody do... i see the white Explorer II and i want one... i see the Seamaster 2004 GMT now i want it... and now the Link GMT caught my eye... Ahhhhhhh If the Ozzie dollar wasnt copping such a beating against the Pound i'd buy all 3 The White Explorer II with the red GMT hand just pops out beautifully... simply beauty, just like the girl next door
  10. I know its an old post... but i nearly just [censored] myself with laughter
  11. Hi Guys, Can anyone in the RWG world tell me why there are two rotor designs for the Carerra? Is one a later design than the other? or is one more preferred than the other? Cheers, V'S
  12. Thanks guys for taking the time to read my post and reply. I read a few more of The Zigmeister's post regarding the 7750 movement. I was a little worried after i woke up one moring and my watch wasn't running... i assumed it was due to testing the chrono during the day and heavily reducing the power reserve. The watch has been running fine ever since and holds its power reserve well. I'm still going to take my watch into a watchmaker and have him service it (I've got print outs of some of The Zigmeister's posts for reference) just to make sure that my watch has a good start in life. Thanks again guys
  13. Hi Spy, Hows your leather strap going. I'm shopping around for one to fit my Carrera aswell. Trying to decide between Rep Racing Leather v's Gen Racing Leather v's Di Modell Rallye. If your reports are good with regards to the Di Modell Rallye strap then i may go for it. Let me know
  14. The Carrera Racing w/ SS band (from CQ Out) is the first rep that i have bought and i love the watch. Some minor flaws are the slightly wider than the gen spacings between links in the braclet... and the noisy rotor when spinning freely. Other than that the watch is perfect. Next purchase is the 2004 omega seamaster GMT and of course the Tag Link Chrono.
  15. Hi Guys, I've been reading through past postings due to a few concerns with regards to my rotor (in my A7750 Tag Carrera) spinning freely (for about 3 - 4 secs) on the horizontal plain. I wanted to double check a couple of things with a few of the more experienced posters to see weather i have a problem or not... Please 1) The rotor spinning freely in the anti-clockwise direction only is due to the lack of resistance and is nothing to worry about (ie. not the winding mech un-winding... if that makes any sense!!). Is this true?? 2) If the rotor is freely spinning in both directions then there is a possible problem with the reversing click (also power reserve becomes a major problem)?? 3) lubricating the rotor will only add more resistance and is not affective as a solution?? 4) What direction should the rotor spin when winding?? A true newbie question Thanks in advance guys. Cheers, Matt
  16. My first experience was great. I bought a Tag Carrera Racing from ExecutiveWatches on CQ out... i paid a little more than going through a internet shop front but i was happy to pay that little more knowing that i had some level of protection from CQ out.
  17. G'day Josh, Welcome to the wonderful world of reps and sending yourself crazy over what to buy. I'm a newbie also and have jump started my collection with a Tag Carrera Racing w/ A7750. Its a beautiful watch and i'm over the moon with it. I selected a Tag to begin with as i'm 26 and Tag seems to suit my age bracket... i've also wanted a Tag for a while . But i must say i reckon that you cant go wrong with either the Link Chrono or Carrera. Both are gems... i'm my eyes I also totally agree with chinkie above. If you are having difficulties deciding what you want and what will fit your wrist them head into you local AD and try a few on. I have a 7 to 7.5 inch wrist and you'll be surprised at what looks good on your wrist. I was thinking twice about getting the 45mm Omega PO until i tried one on and now i'm 99% commited to pulling the trigger on the sale. Good luck with it all and remember to take your time... buyer remorse can be terible
  18. lol Thats awesome. I have kept quite about my rep Carrera and people have started to notice it on my wrist and giving me [censored] about spending big bucks on a watch. I've never once said that its a gen but when i stated thats its a rep they all think i'm pulling their leg and being modest... One reason why i won't be buying a Rolex anytime time soon... becasue a Rolex is a fake until a recipt is shown
  19. G'day Jimmy (i'm an ozzie too ) From what i have gathered from both collectors and RWG reviews is that the 45 UPO is a much better repn with its finer details. BUT if you are not hung up on optaining a 1:1 rep then go for the 4th gen 42 with swiss Eta. As for me, i was trying to decide between the SMP, 4th 42 PO & 45 UPO... so i decided to go into a local AD and try on all 3. As i said before i was a little shy towards the 45 until i tried it on. I've got to say that the 45 is an impressing watch and has a hell of a lot of presence and now i'm converted. Its the 45 UPO for me. Good luck, bro
  20. lol no no no... there will be no "home brew pressure test" I'm going to take my watch into a watch maker and have him do his thing. I'm fully aware that the test is on the case and not the movement. I assumed that when caution was given in presure testing chronos it was due to the higher number of penetration's in the watches case and therefore it's a little harder for rep fractories to ensure proper water resistance... if that makes any sense!!! Correct the newbie if i'm wrong
  21. Hi... a quick question to anyone that ownes a Tag Chrono (or any chrono for that matter). Has anyone pressure tested their chrono with a A7750? I've read through this http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...ressure+testing and its made me a little cautious to go ahead and pressure testing mine. Comments anyone??
  22. I've just been scanning over a few web sites searching for 42 OP's... i found a 5th version (http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=40&products_id=1138)... is this legit, and if so, to your knowledge is it a better rep than the 4th?
  23. Hi there, I've been in talks with Joshua @ joshwatch.com about the exact same watch. I only have a 7.5 inch wrist and have been shying away from the highly recommended 45 OP. Link --> http://www.joshwatch.com/omega-seamaster-c-58_62.html will take you to the watches that joshua listed lately (only 2 days ago). OMSE10009... 10... 11 are the ones you're after. They have the swiss Eta movement with AR coating etc. Goodluck with it all
  24. Can anyone tell me how wide the PO 42 is at the Lugs (i.e. can UPO bands be fitted to the 42)
