  1. I may a bit green on all this but why and how does a post get "moved? Hope it's not a super-dumb question' Jim
  2. Hi 'im2', I just bought a NoobMariner from Chris and his communication and QC seem great. I went with the Swiss ETA and it's running little fast.......around 5 seconds a day or so. I've only been wearing it 2 days. Do they settle down to an acceptible "drift that's close to the mark ? Jim
  3. I just bought a NoobMariner from Chris and there are no engravings on it, nor any other Noobs that I'm aware of. I think the Euro is the only one. Don't know about the Gen Jim T
  4. Chris at Eurotimez is selling the Euromariner WITHOUT the engravings on the rehaut. Just thought I'd let you know ......... I'm not crazy about all that engraving.
  5. Hi all, My new "Noob" Sub arrived Tuesday Aussue Time and I love it. Black/Black etc. I bought it from Chris at Eurotimez.......he made it a very pleasurable experience. Really good communication, answered all my inane questions with commensurate ease and all in all the watch arrived around 10 days or so after placing the order. His QC is great and he tells you exactly what you're getting and what he guarantees and what he doesn't. The watch is a few seconds fast per day but it's only had 2 days "wrist time" & I expect it will settle down once it has had some time. Overall I can't fault the whole buying experience from Chris........especialy as It was my first buy. Only trouble now is that I share the "Infection" of a Repaholic with you gents ........ I can see more on the horizon. Thanks Chris. Some Pics of the watch:
  6. guanaco' you're a legend, I just bought that band on the 'Bay from that link you sent me. Thanks a ton for taking the time to look for me. I'n in a hurry at the mo but I'll get back to you soon cheers & beers Jim
  7. You won't get "Lost" in here, there's a lot of kind, helpful people who'll keep you on the straight & narrow. I've only been here a week or 2 and it IS and addiction.....The people here are great. Lots of watch Wisdom in here. I learned really fast that reading and the search button & the "Links" link to Dealer Sites at the top are your best friend. In the end the decision on what and where to buy it really comes down to you. Read all the reviews etc and check out the feedback from the dealers and you'll have a ton of fun. I've already ordered a NoobMariner Sub from Chris at Eurotimez and am waiting for it to arrive and am already looking at a Breitling SuperOcean Heritage in Blue. Yeah..........I'm "got" Totally addicted. Enjoy the ride Jim
  8. Thanks for the link but I need it in 24mm at the lugs. cheers Jim
  9. Thank yaron, appreciate the tip. I don't really have a big wrist and sometomes leather and rubber straps with folding clasps built in give me problems when I'm sizing them down to suit. I'm kinda leaning to the mesh bands as per the picture in my first post........I never liked them but when I see this SOH in the pic it really looked super cool. I've found a SOH that one of the members here wants to sell with Swiss ETA etc and one I have it I'll have a bit of a play around Thanks again yaron I'll put some pics up when I get the watch in hand and settle on a band but I'll talk to Josh in the mean time Cheers Jim
  10. Thanks TA8088, appreciate you taking the time to get back to me. Now I can start looking in ernest. I owe ya one ! cheers & beers Jim
  11. Can any of you wise gents tell me the distance between the lugs of a SuperOcean Heritage in mm's ? I'm undecided which band to shoot for, Croc leather, Rubber, Mesh I just don't know and am really starting to look around........I keep going back to the mesh S/S as per pic. Thanks in advance Jim
  12. Hey donq, I like the rubber strap look too. I have a pretty small wrist a you can see in the pics I posted Do the rubber straps woth the folding clasp adjustdown easily? cheers Jim
  13. Yeah I always thought that......that the mesh cheapens the look of the watch but seeing this thing today as per the pics I was knocked out. I'll jump onto Angus' site & see what's lurking in there. cheers again & thanks for the reply Jim
  14. Thanks ExtraExtra, that's just what I'm after. A huge thanks. Now I just have to find a dealer. I've bought a Noob Sub from Chris at Eurotimez and I notice that he has them there. He's been great but I'll have a poke around and see what's out there. Cheers Jim
  15. Evening All, (Aussie time), am thinking of shooting for a Blue Breitling Super Ocean Heritage Rep. I Worked with a guy today who had a Gen, first time I'd ever seen one in the flesh so to speak......love at first sight. As you can see in the attached pics he had an S/S mesh bracelet on it and it looked stunning. Even a Black leather band might look OK Q - Avalability of a Mesh bracelet as per the pics and $ for $ value for Swiss or Asian movement ? Any thoughts........All appreciated. best Jim
  16. Yeah P8B, I think a black leather would be the shot.........the mesh on looks pretty cool though I have to say. Sheesh ! ...this rep caper is a minefield of little gems. I think I've been livin' under a rock. Jim T
  17. Hi Gang, I worked with a guy today who was wearing this absolutely beautiful Breitling Super Ocean Heritage. I've never seen one before. Glad I always carry a digi-point & shoot camera with me all the time & knocked off a couple of snaps. I knew there was a Super Ocean but this thing really blew be away. If anyone is making Reps of these yet I'm up for one. Anyway, here's a few pics for your collective viewing pleasure. Cheers Jim T
