thanks for the direction, budda. Have you purchased from these guys before?
-
Ok, someone please hook me up to the pipeline! Can anyone point me in the direction of a Lange of the sort I've mentioned? Can I convince you to sell me or trade me yours? eh, eh?
-
These are awesome! I'm super jealous. I want an AP now so that I may be a solid snake buddy. You are great.
-
aha! Thanks Ubi. Very purdey. very very purdey indeed. All of your watches are purdey... I want them...
Seriously, the 44mm Nautilus Chrono may be my favoritest watch ever.

Wait a minute... there's one with a turquoise dial? Where?!
nice one...I have two PP Nautilus from MBW/MBK - one in RG + croco leather strap with blue dial and the other in S/S bracelet and turqoise dial....

Hello all,
I've been trying to source an older Richard Lange in steel with the Roman Numeral markers. I've searched around to no avail, so I'm asking if anyone has one (yes, I know they don't have accurate movements, but I love the watch anyway) that they're willing to sell or whether they know of any dealers that sell it. I know watcheden has an okay version of the new Richard Lange, but I want the one with the central seconds.
PM me if you have one that you'd like to sell. I very much appreciate your time.

try the Dewitt sequential academia in Rose Gold. It's a fairly accurate rep, and it has wonderful details that would look good with a dark suit. Also, a Hublot Big Bang in Rose Gold would look quite nice as well. The rose gold Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine seems nice, but you seem to be looking for sharper lines with a cleaner look.

good luck.
sorry mate, misread your post and thought you also had watches for sell.anyhow, thanks for the heads up. i'm trying to find a nice rose gold watch to wear with a dark suit - not that easy to find one though. if you think of anything similar (as it seems we have similar tastes) do let me know
cheers.

I don't think you'll find a very good rep of these, at least not that I'm aware of. Especially in rose gold. The only Zeniths I know that have a relatively higher quality standard are the Defy (which no one seems to like here, except me... I may get one someday) and the Chronomaster, which is awesome. I ordered the Chronomaster, and I understand it's amazing, if not entirely accurate.
sorry, man. I wish I was more helpful.
hi there, hoping for any possible help getting my hands on a replica zenith port royal open el primero.
i'm trying to find one with the rose gold body rather than silver.
i've attached an image of the gen version - hopefully someone has seen one somewhere.
i'd also be interested in the zenith port royal grande luxury with rose gold colored body. below is the gen version
if anyone knows how to find one of these reps please let me know
cheers

Wow, jfreeman. You're a piece of work. Keep calling em as you see em. What you see is extremely myopic and crude. And your assumptions about the financial status of the people here is the very same assumption people are making when they see the image of the man holding the cell phone. It's obvious you want to believe that you work harder for your money and that you're more intelligent than everyone else. Anyone who wants to see a poor, undignified man holding his cell phone in that image will see it. This reveals your bigotry at a level far more profound than you are aware.
Or are we just too poor and stupid to know better?
Of course, you have no political agenda. You are the only apolitical person on the planet. And humor is almost never about the truth.
Right...
Atually you are 100% wrong. It has nothikg to do with political slander IMO. It was an observation of society itself. Michelle Obama is not the centerpiece of the picture, nor is it criticizing her for helping out (although I'm sure the stunt was politically motivated). You are reading into this far to much, mick. My political agenda is none. I just call em as I see em.
If you want to get into a right wing, left wing debate, it's obvious your tax bracket favors this administration as you have no problem letting the people in the higher tax bracket be penalized for harder work and higher intellience. Start making some real money, pay real taxes and maybe you won't be so pro Obama. It's aways the broke people whining about how the rich get off too easy and cry right wing bastards. Keep the change sir.
That is the most ignorant statment of the century so far. When did a cell phone become a neccessity? Food, shelter and clothes are neccessities, not cell phones. However little they may cost, I'm sure if you can pay for those minutes as you go, you can afford to eat. Leave that meal for someone who really needs it.

Wow. I'd love to see what this looks like.

Ubi makes it obvious that reps can be so much cooler than gens.
Also, I hate calling something fake when there is so much attention and authentic craftsmanship, either physically or conceptually, put into a rep.
Think about it: How much mental work is put into buying a gen compared to a rep? Not nearly as much. You know every spec of both the rep and the gen when you're serious about this hobby.
Call it a fake if you want, but that would make me question whether you know anything at all about this hobby.
and I dare people to "bust" me on my reps. I don't put them out there for pretentious reasons, and the only reason any human being would call out a watch is to discuss it, have fun with it, or to judge you. Calling out reps calls out fake people (the one's judging not owning) more than it does the watch.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add one of these to my reply: -
Yes! this is what I'm talking about folks. I feel like a smurf on E.
-
Yes! Lani, that's what I'm talking about! I don't have the SMP, and I'm a damned fool for not having it. More, more!
-
very nice rhack!
I just finished reading the post on Gens, and Sanro's Patek would take this thread over! My god that is a nice watch. Anyone who hasn't seen his 5980 needs to read that thread!
-
oh yes, and the PAM 327 I posted is just the color I think works for a watch with a steel band. Damn!

Summer seems to bring it out of me, but every year, I always get an itching for a blue dialed watch (dialled if you're a non-US English speaker, forgive me).
So I'm asking two questions:
1. What is your favorite blue dialled watch
2. Are there any on the horizon that you think are noteworthy?
I'll start. For me, the blue on the Nautilus is the clear winner. Now I'm looking for a piece that's larger. I'm a fan of the Kobold GMT (great metallic blue, which is my favorite) and the ROO Navy, but let me have it!
-
good luck, man. This is an addictive hobby. Pace yourself!
I hope both are excellent additions.
be well.

There is something wrong with the tilting pinion for the center seconds chrono.
When the chrono is ON, the tilting pinion engages into the center seconds gear and it transfers the running seconds from the basic movement to the chrono. When you press STOP, the tilting pinion is supposed to disengage from the center seconds gear as a brake lever holds the center seconds gear in place. When you RESET the chrono the tilting pinion is supposed to remain disengaged from the center seconds gear becasue the hammer has reset the gear and is holding it in place.
If the watch only runs with the chono on, the problem has to be with the tilting pinion not disengaging, since the center seconds gear is only free to rotate with the chono selected to ON.
You need a watchsmith to inspect the chrono and tilting pinion to see what is going on...

Thanks so much! i will most definitely check with a watchsmith. This helps me a lot. I will report back with anything significant.

Yes. In fact a number of their new models (NYC Boutique among others) are that made. I have always wondered why no one has done a good replication. You lose all the offset pusher/crown issues.
Thanks, Kruzer. I've often wondered but was afraid to ask. I think part of the thing that bothers me about AP ROO models (with the exception for RBII) is the large numbers. The subtle markers on the RBII are much nicer. On a non-chrono, this could be a really nice aesthetic.
-
That might sound barbaric and stupid, but I'm asking anyway...

Hello all,
I hesitated to put this in general discussion, since it is related to my PAM 212, but since it may prove relevant to some other brand, I started here.
Two days ago, my PAM 212 simply stopped running. The seconds hand wouldn't start up, even after placing it on a winder for several hours. Out of desperation, I activated the chronograph, and there you have it, the watch starts running again. I wore it the whole day to see if it would continue to work, and sure enough it did, and it kept good time. However, once I stopped the chronograph, that was it. No seconds hand running. I could also see through the caseback that nothing was going on back there until the chrono was again activated.
Has anyone had an issue like this? And idea how to resolve it?

Lani,
I truly hope this happens for you. To all of you here at RWG, I hope you all get a piece of paradise on this earth.

I caught that, and now I have another reason to love this forum! Watches are a great metaphor for the story in Sarah Connor Chronicles and the Terminator series in general. We never have, as a human race, been able to escape the problem of technology. The watch is a representation of our ultimate desire to create and to merge with the technical. I think it's a fabulous reference!
BTW, Pho, you're the shiznit! You love Zeniths and now you love TTSCC? Excellent!
Well wishes for our friend Lanikai!
