  1. Great pics and I've been looking for pics of a gen vs rep GMT bezel. Could you possibly post pics of the underside(back of bezel insert) for comparison between the gen and the rep? thanks
  2. Can the members here please comment and offer your opinions on the engraving and the case itself on this 1680? Is this legit? ">http:// ">http:// By the way, how well are the chamfer/bevelled edges made on replicas? Is it something that is found on rep cases? In addition, please check out the clasp ">http:// ">http:// photo 1 shows the crown to be obscure. It is however on the correct convex side of the clasp. It is also the piece that folds over and perhaps it is due to 30 years of wear. photo 2 shows that the other portion(link) of the clasp which is far sharper even on the concave side. photo 3 is now the clasp flipped over and turned 180 degrees. The right side is now on the left side of this picture. Note the concave side is actually sharper with the details(harder to tell from pictures) than from convex side that was previously in question. Thank you for any comments/opinions.
  3. Guys, I am now been member here for some time and know a few names to supply nice replica watches.....now I am looking for a nice replica dealer display clock and have no idea where to get them? I'm aware of the panerai and iwc clocks from some suppliers here but the choices are limited. There are numerous versions on eb@y so I know these exist. Anyone have leads or ideas? thanks
  4. hey congrates on your new piece. I picked up a IWC TG before and the ceramic had some blemishes. Can you confirm if there are any swirls, or little pits on this hublot you just got? Also, you stated that you had gotten yours from King....can you pass along the link to where I can order this piece should I decide to go with the same dealer? I am ready to try another dealer. thanks
  5. Thanks for the pictures:) I think I see the company name along with made in Switzerland on the rotor. Other than that, the caliber of the movement. Am I missing anything else??
  6. Can members here confirm if IWC watches possess engravement/inscription identification on their movements or caseback to identify that everything goes with the watch? Anyone have pictures?
  7. I totally understand and agree with what you are saying. I am simply letting go of the watch since I don't wear it at all. I would even be happy with a trade deal. Anyone with a Rolex Submariner LV can contact me for a trade. thanks
  8. Hey Guys, I haven't had much time lately and log on and have lost sight of what goes on these days. I am finally ready to part with my V2 Breitling Blacksteel that I had originally bought new from Joshua. The watch is basically new with no a single mark as in as condition as when I had received it. What would be a reasonable asking price for this watch today? thank you for your responses
  9. Does anyone konw if there are reps made for the AMVOX 1 model? thanks
  10. Thanks for the reassurance guys. If all is good, I should have this package in a couple of days:)
  11. I've been anxiously waited for my watch and just noticed "handed over to customs" while tracking on ems.com.cn Is this a bad sign or just routine tracking indication that it has arrived?
  12. Can someone in a nutshell tell me about the quality of the IWC 5001-07 rep? What are the flaws that is possess and how is the clear exhibition caseback? Are there multiple versions of this rep? thanks
  13. Hublot's Big Bang and B&R's BR01-94 use to be some of the coolest pieces expecially for those who prefer the more modern appearance......however, these two companies really don't have much variation in their design in regards to their appearance. Is this approach sustainable or is it just a matter of time before buyers move away from their brand.
  14. Can someone also explain if there are any differences in the finish/case material between the older 3786 doppel versus the more recent TG 3799 and 3789. I've heard that the 3786 was take from a blank while the newer ceramics are injection molded? Are these allegations true with these watches? If not, are there differences.
  15. well said Toadtorrent. In the future, I will likely pick up something from IWC but the price has to be right. Some think the 3717 will get larger from its current 42mm size, but since it was a 2008 model, I highly doubt a replacement will be anytime soon. With that said, others were also hoping the 3789 TG would loose the engravement but that too was just introduced not too long right after the 3799 back in 2007. Somehow, I think IWC would not add another ceramic TG anytime soon as there are enough versions out there already. Surely, if they do go ahead I think it will [censored] off a lot of people who bought the 3789 or 3799 as it would definitely cause these to loose value.
  16. thank you guys. so I guess both those statements were correct. I have not yet pulled the trigger to buying a top gun gen as I believe they are overpriced. other companies with the same movement like omega, probably no less quality are selling their products for much less. Conversely, Breitling avengers are listed at 4.5k while the blacksteel version is approx 1k more. In comparison, IWC pilot is also listed at 4.5k, but the ceramic is 2.5k more.
  17. I've heard that IWC has in house movement, I believe this is true for some of their models. I've also heard that some IWC's such as the pilot line uses the valjoux 7750 but is a modified version of this movement. Can someone elaborate on these ideas and confirm if these statements are accurate?
  18. I agree with you 100% that GP's are under-rated. The average watch collector will never have heard of the brand. This is not my first and may not be my last. Trouble is that there are too many floating around on the grey market. Since the brand never got to be overly popular, the manufacturer really had to keep numbers down, when AD struggle to move the merchandise working off a high list price, grey market people get their hands on them and really begin to drive prices down even more. Marketing is an art but first your product needs to be desirable to a large group if they want to produce a large quantity.
  19. All GP's have in house movement like the pateks. This one have GP 033C0 movement with 63 jewels. Since this is a world timer model, there is an internal bezel, hence the extra crown on the left side of the case. There are two versions of this watch, one is limited to 750 pieces in SS, the other is in titanium with 156 pieces. Mine is titanium so it also possess a see thru case on back side. Not a common watch so not something you will likely see in an AD carrying GP's. Btw, this one came with a very thick plastic wrap that is self adhesive. If anyone out there knows where to see a roll or the name of the product, I'd be very interesting in finding out.
  20. Yeah, I'm a complete amateur when it comes to doing things on the computer, lol. and I was surprised that it even worked. Actually I am set up on photobucket but was actually too lazy to log-in and click back and forth As for how I like the watch......well, you know the feeling when there is something you really want for an extended period of time, and quite honestly back then I had never thought I would end up purchasing such an expensive watch and now I finally get to own it. If I could, I may even sit on the coach with the watch but then my gf would probably think I had lost it or maybe she had lost me:) I understand GP's were never too popular with most watch people. With this one, I just really liked the dial, and I simply could not resist making the purchase. At the end, I thought it was nice having something that was less common. At least it will be a model that they will likely never replicate, haha. thanks for the comments guys.
  21. I snapped a few photos of the watch that I had recently bought, originally taken to share with a good friend of mine, actually also a member here on this forum. But since I really logging in here as this is by far my favourite forum, I thought it was something I would like to share with other members. Of course we all enjoy getting a new watch from time to time. So after over a year of deciding, I finally made the purchase and emptied a sizeable amount of cash from my account Here are some pics, hopefully this works......
  22. just ordered mine. see what happens. fingers crossed
  23. sorry to hear about your misfortunes denniboss, but thank you for joining the thread and letting us know. I agree that a non-functional watch is not acceptable. Hopefully, the dealer you choose will sort things out for you.
  24. That's fine and so I am aware. People who do research don't get everyone to follow-up either but it doesn't stop them from trying. At least you and I would know that there is as least XXXX out there And besides, I am not counting to the exact as long as I know they sold a healthy number so maybe $468- isn't overpriced afterall.
