  4. welcome to rwg... the search button is your friend...if you find the "myths" post from the Zigmeister, you will get the answer to #1...which is....drum roll...no harm to the watch at all for the chrono to run all the time... not sure of the answer to #2...could be a stuck lever with the stop/start pusher or a whole lot more... good luck...R

  12. chef...excellent...precisely why i posted this thought... just trying to think about how we can use "the ring" in some way to produce others...cost effectively and with the right tolerences...
  13. got to thinking about this topic...and decided to post a reply on Francisco's original thread located here: Francisco's a7750 sunken date wheel fix: "the ring" thought i'd post this here, too -- as more folks might see it and comment... four words....precision plastic injection molding... i'm certainly not an expert in this field, but it seems to me that the metal machined ring could be used to make a form where these rings could be produced thru precision plastic injection molding...can't be much to make the mold/tool to produce this ring...and then you could simply crank them out for a very low cost...amortizing the mold/tooling cost, these could be produced rather inexpensively... amazing work to make that ring, Francisco! thoughts/comments...R
