What bracelet do you have on it?
-
The dial is slightly vintaged, and Spin did a great job putting it together. It has a gen crown and crystal. Keeps great time. I highly recommend this for those who want a no hassle Daytona.

Really happy with the quality of this bracelet. I was able to fit 2mm springbars in it. I know others have had trouble with this. I had to expand the endlinks a little to fit the case properly, but it looks good now.

I have seen several amazing 9411s on the board, and I really like the look of the blue 7021 with the red date font. I have read several of the threads on the 9411. Is the case on the 7021 the same as the 9411? Are the parts any harder to source for the 7021? Also, if anyone has a source for parts, or extra parts lying around, please let me know.

Which one of these would you recommend? http://www.ofrei.com/page419.html

Chris at Eurotimez. I have to wonder if the MBK case has changed. I know others have been able to fit a Clark crystal on their MBK, but it would not fit on my case.

Just got this back from The Zigmeister, and I think it turned out great. Specs are: MBK case Yuki gilt dial and modded MBK hands, vintage lume by The Zigmeister Gen crown and Tube Unfortunately, The Zigmeister could not get the Clark crystal to fit the case Drilled lugs Rounded case edges Special thanks to The Zigmeister. He did an amazing job, and I could not be happier! Enough talk, on to the pics.......

Gordon is building that exact same piece for me. Congrats, it looks great

I am looking for a 16760, and have seen quite the range on pricing. I know the early models with the no "Date" dial fetch a premium, but I am not interested in this model. What is a price range I should be looking for for one with box and papers?

Want to start a 1665 project, have some questions
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
I think you can see why I am confused about this topic So only the Yuki/ND Trading cases with accept gen parts, and the current MBK/MBW cases do not. Anyone have an old MBW 1665 case for sale? -
Want to start a 1665 project, have some questions
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
So the current MBK offerings from Chris at Eurotimez will accept a gen dial, crystal, etc? -
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am fairly new to vintage Rollies. I have spend the last 2 years working on mostly Pam projects over at RepGeek. From what I have seen, the MBW case seems to be a good starting point for a 1665 project. A few questions. 1. The MBW case accepts gen parts, correct? (I think the bezel needs modding, and maybe the dial even?) 2. Does the MBK case accept gen parts? I know the 1016 I ordered does. 3. Is it worth going with a Yuki case if I don't plan on using a gen movement? Thanks guys for any input!

Which one of you won this Explorer I dial on Ebay?
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
I am still ticked I didn't get it. This was to be the base for my 1016 project -

Trust me, I know. I used snipe as well. Just never thought it would get to $850. -

I thought my $850 bid would be way above the selling price. Guess I was wrong. The person that won was obviously sniping as well. I bet he was surprised how hight it went. It was at $280 with 20secs to go -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320462889141&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I watched this all night. I thought with auctionsniper.com I was sure to wind it. Who got it?

I have this app and it is a great pocket reference. Unlike the book, it should be updated with current values.

Where can I get a good Explorer I 1016 to start a project?
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
I plan on getting the MBK since I will be adding some gen parts. -
Where can I get a good Explorer I 1016 to start a project?

Just heard back from Watch International. They were confused about my request, and can only offer a Chinese version. -
Where can I get a good Explorer I 1016 to start a project?
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
Watch International just quoted me $198 for ETA MKB 1016. I know the price on the MBK is usually around $350, so I am a little suspect about this being a true MBK. I sent a reply asking if it is, in fact, a MBK as I specified in my original email. What do you guys think? I have also heard back from Chris at Eurotimez, and he said he can source a MBK 1016 for me. Waiting to hear about the price on this. -

Where can I get a good Explorer I 1016 to start a project?
crockey replied to crockey's topic in The Rolex Area
It seems to never be easy to find the parts that I want/need Why is is that all the great 1:1 parts (Palp, FGD, Eddie Lee, MBK) are either no longer made or hard to find? Anyway............. My plan was to get the MBK, drill the lugs, and either get a Clarks or Tropic crystal and put it on a Nato, or get a rivet bracelet from Yuki. I guess I will email Chris and see what he can find for me. -

I don't see MBK on Eurotimez website either. Can you post a link? Or do I have to contact through email to order a MBK? Also, can you tell me what the reference numbers are for the: 1. Crown and tube 2. Endlinks 3. Bracelet 4. Movement I will do a search and look, but if you know off hand, it might save a little time
