  1. Has the Silix site been relocated yet?
  2. http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/7617720/8453041.htm Comments?
  3. I tried.........if The Zigmeister can't make it work, no one can.
  4. Check the parts FS section Chief, I have Tudor 9411 parts for sale.
  5. Where the heck do you find all these parts?
  6. See my build sheet thread below.
  7. Alot of hard work and research obviously went into your Explorers. They capture the simplicity and elegance that has defined Rolex from the start. Well done!
  8. Looks great. I have one on the way as well.
  9. I agree with you. That was the only thing that jumped out at me. I think this is the way to go.
  10. Only thing that really sticks out is the 15 marker is too big.
  11. Only thing that really sticks out is the 15 marker is too big.
  12. Thanks for the tip on the straight hand. Just ordered one. Can you post a pic of your dial?
  13. I have been inspired to build a 1655 since Josh finally improved his dial offering. This should be a good base to start with. Here is what I am looking at so far: Josh 1665 with white indices: http://www.1-pc8838.com/00rlex00103-vintage-explorer-1655-ssss-swiss-2836-p-9162.html Omega Flightmaster hour and minute hands #HAN-2418: http://www.ofrei.com/page944.html I plan on using the bracelet that Josh has on the watch, but might consider a gen 7836 with 380 links. Rolex 6mm Twinlock crown 24-600 Rolex/Clark 24-6020 tube Rolex/Clark 116 crystal Here is where I have questions: 1. I would like a straight second hand since Josh's is inaccurate. CWP has a set, but I am not sure if it fits the 2836-2. Can anyone chime in? http://www.classicwatchparts.com/catpart/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45&products_id=62&osCsid=dr6t3rdf82trcntr3uukrrppu2 2. Josh's bezel is not very accurate either (the top of the 4s are not flat enough...........it is hard to tell how thick the numbers are by the pics, so I can't comment on that. Can someone recommend a more accurate bezel? 3. Josh's dial is an improvement, but I may like Yuki's rail dial better: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6380817/8082301.htm What does everyone else think? Can anyone comment if the Vietnam dials will fit in Josh's case? I believe I read a post where someone used an ND Trading dial in his case. Thanks in advance for your help. Looking forward to getting this off the ground BTW, here is a great read for anyone considering the 1655: http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/vintage-rolex-forum/12963.htm
  14. So what needs to be modded on this watch now? I have been out of the 1665 "scene" because of the dial shortcomings.
  15. Just ordered a 6536/6538/5508 watch from TrustyTime. Thought I would do a budget no CG Sub project. Will any Vietnam dials fit? What about CWP inserts? Thanks!
  16. I like Daytonas on Nato. I think it would look good with all black.
  17. The Zigmeister won't varnish dials anymore because even he does not have even results. I would leave as is.
  18. Sorry Paolo, I just saw this thread. Should have sent you a PM before it sold.
  19. Here are a few gen pics: And my FGD just back from The Zigmeister:
  20. You have a good recipe now. Get the Oftei movement and you are good.
  21. The other thing I would like to bring up is fitment with Jacob's casebacks. I have several high quality cases that Jacob's cb would not fit on. It would be a shame to make this, and then have the best caseback out there not fit. Just a thought............
  22. Dude, I thought you got the FGD one that was for sale My FGD/Jacob/V/The Zigmeister 205A is with the master now. When I get it back, I will see how it fits in the collection:)You always seem to have something cool to trade for...........
  23. It has been a great 2 days. Just got my PN Daytona yesterday, and NW 6152 today. I ordered them both a couple months ago. Could not be happier with this piece. Gordon is continuing to raise the bar, and the ability to buy complete watches from him makes it even better. It is mounted on a WWII ammo strap from Paolo18 over on Risti. On to the pics.......
