That's the way I'm learning to repair my watches. Actually, I'm learning two things; 1: not to be a gorilla with the movement, and 2: how to fix the broken movement after being said gorilla!
And YES! It does feel good!

Thanks for the help guys! I got the job done. At this point, finding that video is just a sanity check for me... that I haven't COMPLETELY lost my mind!

I've seen videos of a guy removing the hands using a pair of hand levers and he used a plain, ordinary thin plastic bag to put loosely over the hands as a dial protector.
He just showed how to remove & refit hands though, no DW swapping.
That has to be the one! Do you know where that one was?
Thank you!

Hey Guys,
I've been driving myself up a wall looking for a video tutorial that I saw a few months ago. It was a video of someone removing the hands and dial from a watch and swapping out the date wheel. He used levers to remove the hands. I just can't find it anywhere!
Does anyone know this video and can you direct me to it. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks All!

Oops! Didn't see that Mike already got the news out. My page didn't refresh in time.

Not sure if you guys know about this, but there was a fire at one of Swatch's ETA movement factories destroying the facility. This is going to create a ripple effect across the industry as so many brands depend on their movements. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/29/us-swatch-fire-idUSBRE9BS0BI20131229

You're killing me! I too had the opportunity to hold and wear this beauty for a few minutes recently... I'll never be right again!

If you like to wear your watch low on the wrist then yes, it does leave a bit of a mark on the back if your hand. It really doesn't bother me. I consider myself a bit of a scrapper anyway! Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkSuch a handsome watch, but that crown is a bit ridiculous to me. Seems like it digs into your wrist? Dealbreaker? -

I've been intrigued by this micro brand for a while and saw the opportunity to pick this one up. Steinhart Nav.B-Chrono 47 "Limited Gold Edition". Very nice homage watch! She has gold hands, gold rotor, and a gold ETA 7750. She came with a vintage weathered Buffalo strap and a new Honey Brown Buffalo strap. I thought I might do a catch and release, but I may keep this one for a little while!

According to this thread the "V2" isn't better: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/3777-v2-161982.html
Thanks for the link!

Has anyone picked up the newest version yet? Angus posted a v2 in the middle of Oct coming from the Mark factory.
I'm curious what they've improved and what they've made worst.
Thanks!
