I'm very saddened to read your post Cats. I know that it's been a tough road for you and your family. I'm sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and your son.

I know that you must've tried everything and read a lot. But just in case, I thought that I would throw this out there. My mother in law has stage 4 lung that has spread to her adrenals and bones. We thought she was at her end. Then there came up a trial that she tested positive genetically for. It's a promising immuno-therapy drug. Four months in now and all her tumors have liquified.

My intention is not to give you false hope, but just a "hey have heard about this?"

Again, I'd rather say something than not.

The 382 again! I'm loving the warmth that it's developed.

Wearing my special friends watch for my visit to the university hospital UMC Radboud. Always wear this watch when I get the result of my ct-scan. Let's hope it swill bring me luck again.

No, I wouldn't call myself a Watchsmith. I do have some skills and do all of my own work. But I only work on my watches; if I screw something up then it's my own watch. Sorry.

On a serious note; I've been able to get by on the search function. That's how I ended up with BK when I was looking for a DSSD. 99% of what I want to know comes from search on three rep sites that I subscribe to.

Ask if the corrosion marks are just dirt and able to be cleaned off maybe? I'm sure it can be slightly polished and cleaned up to make it look better, allowing you to get it and not have to worry about searchin for another.

Personally, I'd accept it and ask for monetary help like discounted shipping etc, then just clean it up when I got it in hand. It's not going to make te watch fail, it's just unsightly, and in spots where it's not seen while being worn etc.

Bronzo today! I reset the patina about four weeks ago. This is natural as a result of humid sea air. The canvas has faded from being sun and salt bleached. The buckle is fire kissed stainless compliments of my kitchen torch.

I have one that I've modded with a gen Breitling movement, gen dial and hands in an H-fac case and bracelet. Unfortunately, I have no desire to part with it.

I've got a BK DSSD and I have to say that it's farg'in amazing looking!

Just wondering if anyone has purchased from puretime its just that i bought a watch from the site last night and the only correspondence i've had is an automated email from visamasterpay with the merchant order number and stuff when i check the order status on there site it says payment confirmed i emailed them today but have heard nothing back and can't find a contact number for them anywhere not sure if this is normal or if I've been had off lol
