well, here's some good info for the lv bezels at the moment. I'll see if I can find some for the tt's. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tre...72293&rid=0

I don't know if this will help, but, look at the lv sub here. Look at the #4 on the #40 marker on the bezel This one is a trapezoid #4. The 4 does not come to a point at the top of it. http://cgi.ebay.com/16610V-Submariner-1661...%3A1%7C294%3A50 And on this lv, the #4 on the 40 marker comes to a point at the top, like a triangle. Can you see the difference? http://cgi.ebay.com/16610V-Submariner-1661...%3A1%7C294%3A50 (actually, there is one fuzzy picture in this auction that has a trapzoid 4, do you see it? obviously a different watch!)

Thanks Tribal and Pete! Wow, amazing how .1mm is visibly discernible! I would assume that the reason everyone drills them to 1.3mm with the #55 cobalt is because the #56 is 1.18mm and is too small. Would there be any other drill bit options, (other than cobalt) since I am just making the existing holes bigger and may not require such a strong bit?
-
Ok, I'm a little confused about the #4 font. I read from another member that the trapezoid 4 is for the older subs with lug holes. Is this incorrect? I ask because the Euromariners and other "modern" sub reps (without lug holes) come with trapezoid 4 bezels. The modern Gen subs I have seen have the triangle 4 font. However, I've seen a Gen LV (2003)with the trapezoid #4. I'm confused!

Rolex Euromariner V3 Gen ETA 2836-2 Movement Pictures
cht replied to Krayfish's topic in Movement Q&A
So what did you end up doing to resolve the issue with the eta? -
whoa....wait.... Your gen ETA already took a dump? what happened?
-
Glad to see this has the correct #4 font on the bezel unlike some of the other similarly priced sub reps.
-
anyone just want to comment maybe on the lug hole size than? Are we seeing the same thing?
-
^^^Go to bluefakes.com They use gen photos of watches and sell replicas. The gen photos have the dial hands set to 10:10. Look at bluefakes photos. Do you think you are getting those gen watches in the photos when they are selling reps? News flash....humans rip off other humans for to make $$$. Sad...but indeed true.

My GILT Sub 5512 project is finished! Quartz movement looks like gen!
cht replied to cht's topic in The Rolex Area
Actuallly, lol, luming it is my current project! -
oh no..... well, good news is, I got an email and a response! Yippee! I can send it back for repairs or have the parts sent back to me. I just paid to have it repaired in the city. (dial, stem, crystal, bezel, and movement,) but I'll still need the parts.

well, still no word from Chris as to a resolution, still waiting for a personalized reply. This is rediculous.....an unwearable watch for over $300. Awesome....

So do the subs get smaller holes than the sea dwellers? here is the v3 (notice the wrong position.) gen for comparison another gen a series and here is a case drilled by freddy with the 1.3mm. ( i know it's not a sub, but just for reference on the hole size) is it me or does it look a little too big? here is tribals beautiful franken sub. I am assuming these are 1.3mm as well. Is this correct? Do these appear larger than the gen as well? I'm confused. thanks guys!

Ok, since it seems like I'm going to have a watchmaker fix my euromariner since it missed qc, I am going to have them drill lug holes for it. But, before the ase is drilled, I just want to verify my info is correct! So I was at a AD and saw a no date sub and the holes in the case looked small. Like the same 1mm as my v3 case. The AD guy says they are different on various models and has no idea. So, my research is suggesting a 1.3mm hole in the case. Is this correct? This would fit gen spring bars. However, the AD doen't know which bars are for the lug holed subs. My research shows a 2.0 mm thick bar with a 1.2mm tapered end. Is this correct? And, are these shoulderLESS spring bars? Like these ones? http://cgi.ebay.com/SPRING-BAR-FOR-ROLEX-S...A2%7C240%3A1318 and would these 2.00mm thick bars fit the noob bracelet? thanks so much! regards,

I just listened to a fossil $100 automatic at the mall. I couldn't even here it tick, nor the rotor spin. It was ninja! (and, did I say it was $100!?!?!? )

well, I have had no reply in regards to my situation. All I got was the "Dear RWG Members, Currently I'm traveling and sorting out some emergencies, I will be back in office on 25th of November...." I never got the "we will give a more detailed response in 24hrs....." I have resent the email wih pics and details. I live hours from a watchmaker so I have been unable to get it looked at. Today I am in the city and am going to have it repaired/looked at. Soon a month will have gone by since I have paid and I have an unwearbale watch without a resolution from the seller.

I think so too.... I am only considering replacing it because mine came with multiple scratches on it and glue on around the pearl. The pearl looks pretty good too. I have no need for the WM pearl I bought. The euro bezel's font is a little more portly. The numbers are pretty wide. wow, this pic makes the clarks crystal's cyclops look really far off to the right! the gen is font is more slim. URL]

My insert that came on my euromariner came loose despite all the glue put on it.
-
Well, I found that all the glue that was put on the bezel obviously wasn't enough, lol. It was able to fall out by tapping it upside down. I didn't need to remove the bezel after all.
-
The one that is spinning is the one that came with the watch. The one pictured is the jewelryoutlet one.
-
lol. Well, I am not wearing mine since it has a few problems, so it goes dead often. hence, I wind it. Am I taking crazy pills or what? Hopefully someone will chime in.
-
Mine will do some weird things when I try and set it sometimes. I must mention that I have the dg4813 though. Sometimes when I pull out to set, it will set. But when I push it back in, it does not disengage the hack, and will still adjust the time. I have to press it, pull it out, fool around with it etc to get it to work right. However, mine only clicks when I set the date, which is normal. It makes a squeaking noise when I wind it.

My insert is spinning freely already in the bezel or my euromariner. Should I get a new insert or just glue this one down in the meantime? And, any rec's on a decent replacement insert? My best recommendation so far was the jewelryoutlet555. comments?
