Spending all day working with computers would tempt me away to rwg more then strictly helpful
Even though I'm full on at work I still manage quite a few crafty reads
Hi all
Apols from a noob if its bindun but I was wondering - what is your job in the real world?
I run a hotel by the seaside and can actually lay claim to having a job I enjoy, I know how rare that can be!
Just wondering really, I guess we're from all walks of life but be interesting to hear your stories...

As I've said elsewhere I can vouch for them.
I've ordered many, many reps from him, never any probs.
Consider him as somewhere between the reputable collectors here and the wholesale markets in China.
Guess you roll the dice either way, all I can do is say I've never had a problem and will always order through them until the day it goes t*ts up!

I have previously ordered my watches / straps and boxes direct from China and have had no problems whatsoever (5 orders of between 2 and 8 watches)
However my last order has not happened as the money has been 'held' by the bank of China as they think its a commercial transaction and not a 'private' one!
This is according to my supplier - he says it happens often, is nothing to worry about and that the money will be refunded to my bank account....... if only I shared his confidence.........
Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? I have been buying from this source for a couple of years with no problems ever.
My question for you is how sure can I be that I will get a refund? - its been 3 weeks now!!!. If it will happen then I'll go ahead and order from the RWG approved suppliers while waiting for the money!!!!
Please spare me the 'not worth the risk' lectures on this, needless to say from here on in I'll be less likely to order direct and I feel shi**y enough already believe me.
Thanks in advance.

Churchill said lots of things, but for me, at this time of year and in the current world climate his greatest quote is
"when you find yourself going through hell, keep on going"
How absolutely, completely and utterly true.

hooky - muchos gracias
will enquire about entire replacement - tbh I'm getting a tad pee'd off with my currrent source - think in future I'll use recommended collectors instead.
Thanks again guys, need to get the 253 back on my wrist quick smart!
RR
There is a bit of crystal still attached to the watch - I guess I must have banged the watch causing most to just fall out
If I pick the remaining bits out and buy the new replacement will glue be needed?

Hi Guys
I'm down West in Cornwall and always, always buy from China direct - I've imported around 20 and several boxes with no problems - maybe I'm just lucky but it tends to get you the best price.
Nice thread - thought I was the only Gawd Blimey Limey here for a while!
Yeah I can source a crystal from my man but what about fitting it? superglue?!!!!!
127 is 6 months old, wondering if it's worth looking at the movement myself?
Thanks

Fellow Panerai obsessives please help!
Firstly my Pam253 crystal did a spectacular fall out and shatter on me so where to look for a replacement? also I can't seem to find a fitting guide anywhere here, I guess a lot of delicate glueing is the order of the day?
Secondly my beautiful Pam127 6497 manual wind has recently stopped letitng me change the time on it? - the pin just spins without connecting?
Thirdly I'm a forum noooooob so apols if I should be asking on a different area.
Although I can send them back, this'll cost me over $100 to do so if I can fix them here (Blightly) then I would prefer it!
Cheers in advance.

Hi Guys
Just a quick independant thumbs up to Sino watches.
Been dealing with Mickey for over a year now and been very happy.
Not connected to them in any way other then as a happy purchaser of several beautiful watches.
Would recommend.
