  1. Both watches use the Asian 7750 copy movement (unless you get the expensive ETA 7750 version of the Cousteau). The Cousteau uses the native unmodified layout, so in theory should have less problems than the HBB which has to shift the 12 o'clock subdial to the 3 o'clock position. This may cause problems. It also has stickers on the movement which can come off and that could be trouble.
  2. You need some Slurm
  3. Many are loyal to the dealer even if they are overpriced in comparison to another dealer. Don't forget that many dealers don't seem to be getting these newer reps, like the Cousteau etc.
  4. ETA 2824 apparently. 42mm. Here is a link to Trusty: PVD Version Non-PVD version Which one is most accurate and true to genuine ?
  5. hey tiger-man, great watch
  6. I know, but doesn't hurt for Lello to have 2 to make sure they are the same
  7. thanks for the info
  8. Send your genuine datewheel to Lello to reproduce Where can I get genuine hands for this ?
  9. I don't understand, but why does it say that the movement is a modified ETA 2824? Same ting in the new Bell & Ross...
  10. This may have been discussed already, but I've seen it on a website: Bell & Ross 03-92 Has an interesting and different look with the blue markings. It's smaller than the 46mm square of the previous B&R that's been available with the dodgy "swiss" 2892 movement. This one purports to have an ETA 2824 which is a great reliable movement. And no fake stamped screws on the back! I don't think the genuine has the Allen screws on the back How accurate is this, and is there any interest after the fiasco with the last version ?
  11. A little odd - no PMs? The following errors were found This member has chosen not to be contactable by the board Messenger This personal message has not been sent

  13. Haven't been here for awhile, but I'm interested. Mail me using link from profile. Thanks!
  14. As finepics took his one apart, you could ask him and he may be able to answer some of these questions. Unless you've already sent yours back now.
  15. Thanks for the write-up! I think finepics tried a 7753 transplant in his Honpo version last year and it didnt work out. You may want to ask him or The Zigmeister what can be done. I wonder if a better version will be made or this one will just fade away now? Or a titanium 194
  16. Wtches are harder to "custom make" apart from maybe a modified dial, different strap, and maybe an engraving somewhere. With your example of the Aston Martin, it's not a drastic change - if you see a DB9 on the street you recognize it's a DB9. They don't put spoilers and wings all over the place and put in James Bond style weaponry if you ask for it... or do they ? As far as I know, it's the interior being custom designed, much like changing a strap on a PAM
  17. Long story... this was the RWG1 Collaboration where Blade disappeared with a lot of people's money. RWG2 was set up not long afterwards, and mermbers who didn't receive their watch were refunded.
  18. I'd get the Slevin Aquatimer if it comes in titanium with optional rubber strap. Non-chrono or chrono version. Otherwise, the CD appeals to me with the differeing colours. I have lots of watches with black and white already.
  19. Any pictures?
  20. Is that Ruud Van Nistelrooy galloping along in your avatar ?
  21. or maybe someone someday turned out the lights and said, "oops! wrong hole!"
  22. True... the Americans didn't invent this just like they didnt win the war singlehandedly, but they sure as hell didnt invent sexual practices... go and look up the kama sutra for anal sex instructions if you want.
  23. Now how do you know this ? Give me one of your franken-Daytonas and your secret is safe with me
