  1. Bumped up - I leave for Athens on Friday ...
  2. And before anyone asks, tritium will glow constantly for around 20-30 years. It does not need charging, but does not glow as brightly as SuperLuminova iniititally does. I love the tritium gas tubes in the RXW Plasmir Milgraph... the watch also has SuperLuminova, but the watch is always readable even if you stayed in a closed dark room for 2 months!
  3. The "ultimate" AP ROO is already around with genuine dial, hands, and ETA 2892 movement with Dubois-Dupraz chrono module. You think these other super-reps are expensive?
  4. Does the titanium AMG version have similar lume? The numbers on the track around the dial are red, so I'm not sure if they would.
  5. V's a great guy... If you saw him recently, chances are it was gen and does that mean you are in Athens? or "Gun City" ?
  6. Good thing you didn't say it was a hand job Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  7. Everyone has their likes and dislikes with reps and gens, I think reps are perfect for you. This hobby will definitely save you more than those who try a rep to get a feel for the gen, or those who buy a mixture of reps and gens, etc etc
  8. Where is elprimero? where is PiratedZeus? And most of all, Where is PaneraiLord???
  9. The "classic" Asian copy version doesnt have the surrounding Swan's neck (the metal part that the regulator can hit if turned to far up or down). The thinner "non-dagger" is known as the Swiss ETA 6497 "Swan Neck" with the surrounding metal (as described above). The version with the "dagger" appears to be a mix of parts from the Swiss ETA 6497 and some Asian parts. It has the metal surrounding the regulator (dagger) area, but I believe The Zigmeister found that there were some potential problems. Sorry I didnt get a chance to look at your attached pics, I'm about to go to bed.
  10. The price difference is from the facts that Omega came up with the watch design, R&D, the better more accurate movement licensing, the advertising so that people want this watch, quality control, water resistance, warranty, box, better straps, better quality materials, etc. The rep makers are piggybacking off this popularity without all these overheads. You're forgetting movements like in the AP, the true GMT movements found in R**** and Om***, the new PAM in-house movement, the king of movements, El Primero, Pateks etc etc. There are quite a lot of quality movements out there

Where is Panerailord?? is he in Athens?
  12. Great, I'd really like to see the RD ED... I thought there were some problems with sizes so it'd be great to see one in the wild, so to speak.
  13. No thanks, I already have one.... ditto with the Sinn U2... no reps needed here Seriously, no point repping a watch that is bought for it's features. Eg. Sinn U2 has an Argon filled case with a water-saturation indicating capsule. The watch is made from the same steel as German U-Boats, with no bezel inserts to fall off when diving. How can something like this be repped? Only in appearance, but most who want these brands want it for their functionality, not just their looks.
  14. Which ROO did you get ? The one that interests me is the MBW version, that one looks so nice, despite the wrong subdial positioning!
  15. Been wearing the titanium IWC AMG for a while now... perhaps I'll bring it to Athens. I can recommend it though ETA movement is great... modified Asian 7750 in the HBB is a potentially expensive paperweight, even though it tempts me every day
  16. Welcome! You're right RC seems to be a little slow most of the time... How is your easy diver? Don't think I've seen any reviews of that yet.
  17. You always seemed to win in the Arcade Except Hexagon
  18. Yes, they told me the same about their water-resistance testing, and they've always been honest with me in all my dealings with them
  19. No idea how good the watch is, but they are good dealers, no doubt. They usually have cheaper prices than the cartel for some of the same models that the cartel have. Makes you wonder at the markups going on...! Oh well, pick your dealer...
  20. Aren't they shut down for some days due to a holiday in China? Perhaps they didn't want to disappoint by taking orders and then people having to wait for it? Or perhaps it is something else...
