  1. For a wedding you should wear something like a PAM187 or PAM194, Omega Railmaster XXL, a U-Boat, Breitling Avenger Seawolf, Corum Bubble, or especially something like a Graham Chronofighter - that crown guard is lovely. For the casual occasion, such as a pick-up basketball game, I'd recommend a Patek Philippe Calatrava, or an AP Royal Oak. Perhaps an A & L would be appropriate too. Hope that helps everyone!
  2. I still havent bought a HDTV. I recently got an Iiyama flat panel monitor to replace my knackered CRT. Not everyone here is rich!
  3. Agreed. This could interest me too. Is there a genuine Hublot BB that is PVD'd with a ceramic bezel? Perhaps an aftermarket PVD coating could make this
  4. This is the same as the PAM212 and PAM253 layout which also use the Asian 7750 copy in this configuration. There are ETA 7750 versions as well, but I would imagine are similarly modified with Asian parts to move the subdial to 3. The 9 subdial (running seconds) will have the most stress on it, and as it is unchanged from the default configuration, there should not be a problem. Due to the Asian parts used to move the subdial, I don't see a huge advantage of getting an ETA 7750 over the Asian 7750. Anyone know if ETA transfer gear parts are used in the ETA version of these type of watches (PAM212 / 253/ Ferrari) ?
  5. Still waiting on the PAM187 with ETA 7753
  6. I agree as well and may well be interested, however I would like to know what the differences are with TTKs version - even if it is just the non-chrono. The only thing I see so far are that the screws aren't blued. Also, how is the rubber strap - is it like PureTime's one that does not pick up dust like the previous rep rubber straps (eg. Omega SMP strap, Pam straps, etc) ?
  7. I've come across these videos on YouTube of Rangers singing "F*** the pope and your IRA" ... is this what the sectarianism is about in Scotland ? Is this normal? Doesn't seem to be a minority either, it's everyone. Rangers bigots - Osasuna v Rangers (part 1) Rangers bigots - Osasuna v Rangers (Part 2) Rangers bigots - Osasuna v Rangers (Part 3)
  8. 280 with both straps? does anyone know if this is the same as the one TTK described in his now-defunct thread?
  9. i dont get much time to check in much lately, but i have not heard replies after sending back a uPO and titanium BCA because the wrong ones were sent to me... no reply to emails. I hope you're wrong!
  10. Agree about the comment about the group buy for this strap... I don't get it. Perhaps silix can sell it to the group buyers for $34.99 instead of $35? I guess I jumped the gun and received my genuine 22mm PO strap 2 days ago in the mail. Already have the 20mm genuine on the 42mm PO Great result againt PSV
  11. How about the "black magic" complete ceramic version with swiss movement Now that would tempt me, but these prices are outrageous and now out of my range.
  12. Sounds interesting... been away from reps for a while now. Guess I may wait for V's review
  13. Sorry guys, I'm on page 4 so way behind everyone, and this post is probably outdated now, havent been around much lately.... doing overtime tomorrow so I'm way behind!
  14. Yes , just like the ridiculous pricing on the newly released PlayStation3 in the UK that doesnt even have complete backwards compatibility with the previous machine as the US and Japanese version have! Give it a few months and the price tumbles to compete with the other machines.
  15. I was supposed to get a few from his 2mm run but have heard nothing about it .... hope he's doing ok.
  16. I'd love to be there, but I am working an extra day tomorrow.... I managed to convince the manager of a stock-take to pay me roughly $70 an hour to count things Can't turn down that price, expecially as I get no pay in the next 2 bank holiday weeks during the holidays!
  17. I have a new job but not PAM187 yet I guess I can still wait, money situation is never perfect eh
  18. The ones in the pictures were the stock pictures used. The dealer gave assurances that genuine ETA 2892 movements would be used because of this.
  19. Are there any free services of this type in the UK ?
  20. Sorry - lost my job recently and started a new one, so it's been quite hectic, havent been on the boards much at all
