  1. Is it a possibility that there is a rogue dealer informing on their competition? Perhaps even one who doesn't have a spot on here as a dealer, so that they can get in? Paranoid maybe, but don't discount all possibilities... what is the best way to eliminate competition? Stop the money flow ?
  2. You missed out snake oil type... swiss or asian ?
  3. I've seen the Corums and PAM212 listed with "synthetic sapphire" aka (mineral) glass. Omega Aqua Terra and Bell & Ross with ETA 2892, and possibly include the current Franck Muller Conquistador as well. There are others but I am off to bed now.
  4. Problem there is that they don't post every watch in the dealer section... I think consistency for them on their websites and on here will give more confidence to customers as well. Not all customers look through the dealer section, and go directly to their website. Witness the numerous links to a page when a new watch is released...
  5. I think that's for his FAQ. Dun be a Pug
  6. Mark can confirm work needed to be done later... time is precious right now, so hopefully he has time to let you know he has received it... only 6 days or so to go before he will be alone stuck with our watches! tick tick tick tick tick... He's probably enjoying Valentine's Day today while us sad singletons are posting on RWG or watching Bolton v Arsenal in the FA Cup replay!
  7. The qualifier "clone" or "copy" needs to be added to denote that it is not an ETA movement, or perhaps in quotation marks is desireable. ie. Asian "ETA 7750" clone or Asian "ETA 7750" copy We could make it even plainer and call it: Asian "ETA 7750" forgery
  8. For movements why not use terms such as : Swiss ETA - for genuine ETA movements. Asian ETA clone - for clone/copy movements. eg. -Swiss ETA 7753 in the PAM187 -Swiss ETA 2824-2 -Swiss ETA 2836-2 -Swiss ETA "Unitas" 6497-1 etc or -Asian ETA 775x clone -Asian ETA 7750 clone -Asian 2824-2 clone -Asian ETA "Unitas" 6492-2 clone (higher bph I think) -Asian Venus clone (not sure of model etc) -Asian Seagull ST-18 / ETA 2892-2 clone Specifically for the Asian 7750 as it is currently known, it should be specified whether it is the older version or the newer "b1" version The older one has hands that will fit a Swiss ETA 7750 movement, while the newer version does not, and requires cannibalization of the Asian movement, transferring parts to the ETA 7750. As we already have some convention for these, why not use: Asian 7750a1 clone (21,6000bph interchangeable with Swiss ETA 7750) Asian 7750b1 clone (28,800bph, more reliable than a1 clone) This would help in an advertising sense as well as for modders who will upgrade to an ETA 7750. I also think if a movement is modified it should be stated... therefore: for Rlx, Omega, PAM GMTs: -Omega Seamaster GMT with modified Swiss ETA 2836-2 movement similarly, -PAM086 GMT with modified Asian ETA 7750b1 clone movement -PAM187 with modified Asian ETA 7750b1 clone movement -Daytona with modified Swiss ETA 7750 movement -PAM212 with modified Swiss ETA 7750 movement I hope that makes sense and will be useful.
  9. Use the pin tool on the side with the hole I think... it should allow the tool to guide in there more easily.
  10. I was disappointed with the 001... the metal bracelet I got had a bent part at the clasp end, so it was sent back, and a screw fell out of the crown guard, so that go replaced (eventually) by the dealer... as a result, by the time it was in shape to be worn, I had other PAMs that took precedence - PAM188, 192, 196, 029 and 063... as well as the 036s that I have, and the 001 never got worn! It's just stayed in the drawer all this time. I haven't worn the 028 yet, not until the Palp crown comes through and I can get all the mods done at the same time: date wheel, PVD, relume etc.
  11. Ditto here, that's why I stayed away from it.... the 187 too for the cheap bezel markers either brass and coated, or falling off, as well as incorrect movement functionality (s most probably know by now).
  12. Josh and Andrew have a "date added" at the bottom of their pages. They could easily change the template to read "please read the FAQ (linked) to understand the terms used for items posted before 14-February-2007" for example. And subsequent items can have standardised descriptions?
  13. I'd like to see them! How was your holiday?
  14. How do you put in a crystal upside down ???
  15. lol dude that's a black dial lmao nice watch and review. perhaps the bezel is like the rlx subs or omega PO.
  16. I have this one but returning it as I was sent the orange bezel version instead of black bezel... unless someone wants it ? Ditto with black dial titanium Chrono Avenger...
