  1. With all the differing descriptions, it must be confusing for many to know what's what. With the murkiness here, the "curved sapphire glass" may indeed be genuine sapphire crystal, but who's to know without buying it ? The $50 difference looks like it's for the AR and movement. Standardized terms remove all doubt. Very confusing.
  2. Yes that's what I've heard, even more expensive than Helsinki and Stockholm and Copenhagen And I liked those places!
  3. Didn't really want to do this as blatantly, but to satisfy your questions here are the re-issued versions with sapphire crystal, and previous versions still with their "synthetic sapphire"/"sapphire glass" description: Joshua / Perfect Clones' PAM212 with Asian 7750 copy movement and "synthetic sapphire" (USD 198) Joshua / Perfect Clones' PAM212 with Asian 7750 copy movement and "Sapphire Crystal AR Coated " (USD 308) Andrew / Trustytime's PAM212 with Asian 7750 copy movement and "curved sapphire glass" (USD 248) Andrew / Trustytime's PAM212 with Asian 7750 copy movement and "sapphire with AR coat" (USD 308) The problem is, should I get the PAM212 with the "synthetic sapphire" knowing I can get an AR coat cheaper than the $110 difference to the next model with AR-coated sapphire crystal? All I know is that the difficulty in getting curved genuine sapphire crystals is highly acknowledgable.
  4. You're getting banned there???!!!! Republican bananas?
  5. Sorry, PMs can't be backed up as my other computer still isn't back in service Will try to fix it this weekend, but use the email button if you need to get hold of me.
  6. Another with the "synthetic sapphire" description: Corum Bubble Casino So as not to pick on Joshua, here is a comparison of the various dealer "synthetic sapphire" versions of the PAM212 Chrono (of those that have websites that I know of): Joshua / Perfect Clones Andrew / Trusty Time King Paul - Chris / Wo-Mart Angel & Jay / Silix-Prime Now we can see that 2 have labelled theirs with "synthetic sapphire", one has labelled theirs "sapphire" and one has labelled theirs "plexi-glass" (no prizes for guessing who the last one is). The obvious problem here is the "synthetic sapphire" description, as the other two are pretty clear-cut. Another one here shows a Venus-copy movement which has been labelled as Swiss I hope this thread clears up a few inaccuracies for everyone, and helps the dealers to help us pick the watch we want accurately.
  7. I'd like to visit Norway sometime, give me the plane ticket from London to Oslo, and I'll bring it over
  8. An aside from the discussion at hand: I really don't know why they made such a big thing of using ETA 2892 in these B&R reps, I'd have been happy with genuine ETA 2824 or 2836. Unless it was to push the price up...!
  9. In my experience, Scandinavians are drunks... especially on the weekends

  11. How can I beat the casino and win ?
  12. Try PMing Klink on here perhaps. I *think* he is an admin there. I've never been able to access RWI so I can't really help you. Sorry.
  13. Just a few comments/criticisms of the rep, hope that's ok with everyone... The transition of the numbers on the bezel from silver to black is not perfectly straight, there is some "leakage" if that is the correct word to use here. Compare to the genuine and you will see. On the wrist, no one will ever spot that though The bracelet that this rep comes on is correct for the white dial Omega Seamaster GMT, but it is all brushed - a brushed Speedmaster bracelet. The bracelet for the genuine of this GMT is, I believe, a "Bond" bracelet, but using a hidden clasp mechanism which is very good, I have to say. Look at a review of the genuine here. All in all, this rep is a great watch for the price, and I doubt they will have a reliable "true" GMT movement in the near future.
  14. Love the strap One of the guys working in the Omega shop in central London showed me his PO Chrono with orange bezel, it was very nice Go in there and have a little talk. I'd gone in there to get a (free) bracelet adjustment on my SMP Chrono nd talked Omega watches for a little bit until he had to see another customer.
  15. Thanks be to Pugwash for editing the original image down, when I was too lazy to! Thanks Puggy!
  16. Adriana Lima, a Brasilian model Beautiful woman, but those eyes...... something about a beautiful woman's eyes With the BCA, remember it is the newer case, but they have great prices, if you like ETA may be cost effective to get it with that already installed! At least at the price it was at months ago.
  17. You think that's bad? Took me 30-60 mins to get the Doxa rubber strap on my Sub 600T Now that's an exercise in frustration and anger. Strap hasn't come off yet, but I want to try it on the orange too... !
  18. Really liking the By-Tor PVD black bezel Now in ceramic, that would really make it
  19. Great watch I wonder if Admin got his yet?
  20. You would have thought a straightforward titanium 194 would be easy to do, but the factory seems to be loathe to making it
  21. Hopefully the initial test goes well, and it is a success, and is cheap enough
  22. Silix had the newer case Breitling Chrono Avenger in titanium, and with ETA 7750 as well! Very cheap price in comparison to most dealers as well! If you want Asian movement, my guess is that it would be priced whatever they price the IWC GST Chrono in titanium ?
