Not all AR coatings have a strong tint, I think. My Doxa doesnt have a tint like the Breaitling Avenger Seawolf rep does...

You mean ETA 7753 approximation? The modified 7750 copy movement is still not a 7753 even though it purports to be. One obvious thing missing is the quickset date pusher on the left hand side, which is one of the reasons why the Asian 7750 copy-based PAM187 is inaccurate - the pusher does not change the date.

What I DO know is, this was particular rep was on my list. It's now crossed off.

Well it still uses ETA in there ... at least this discussion has yielded something? We'll see what happens with the synthetic sapphire and light AR issues. Admittedly before a purchase, I ask questions such as, "Does this watch have genuine sapphire crystal?" "Does this have 100% genuine Swiss ETA 28xx movement?" etc etc

So at least one of them is knowingly selling these purporting to be ETA.... hmmmmm not good.

Angus' announcements allowed input from everyone to refine their product - hopefully a winner from everyone's point of view! I can barely afford 1 generation let alone 5 (a la Planet Ocean) ! So I guess his way served a purpose. Informing us that one particular watch or new generation is coming out, can help to save up money for it as well as letting one decide upon which generation to purchase.

Please bear in mind, many owners of genuines remove their top AR coating as it is easy to smudge or scratch, making it look bad. Therefore, I would go for just an inside coating.
