  1. A degree in a scientific subject from the best university in the UK for that subject (at the time, it varies between another university over the years). However I am very low paid compared to almost everyone apart from someone doing part-time work through university - you have an idea of what salary I have (as a temp!). Anyone got a decent job available ?
  2. It's a pity... and also the reason I haven't bought those particular ones even though I like them. I want a decent collection of titanium watches I can wear in the summer. At the moment I am restricted to : Breitling Avenger Seawolf, PAM192, PAM036, Omega SMP Chrono (titanium), Omega SMP Chrono (titanium, gold, tanatalium), solid gold Franck Muller Casablanca, IWC GST Chrono... not too much variation! The GP Seahawk (eventually?) and IWC Aquatimer may have been ok to add a few more there. Perhaps a future ceramic/titanium Hublot Big Bang ?
  3. I am in Riga from 22-Feb to 26-Feb. Looks like my pay is all messed up so I may not be getting paid for a couple of weeks
  4. LOL! I'm hoping (if it's the IWC) that it will be available in titanium. Allergies and all of that.
  5. I'll try to listen to it once I get my computer at home working again. I don't have an iPod - my phone can hold up to 4gb of music, so I don't see the point (my record collection is well over 3,000 CDs and records from my DJing days).
  6. Sorry for my lack of participation lately. Hard drive died on the morning of Friday-22-December-2006 (RIP) so you can understand my lack of excitement about the holiday period (for which I lose out on money - only lowly paid for hours worked). I'm at work now and hoping to install WinXP tonight - I hate doing that Voted IWC and Paul Picot and looks like they made it.
  7. I hope it moves along, but I am still low on money. My computer died yesterday which explains why I am not on here much... I have been using a cheap $100 machine I have had for a while instead until I can buy the parts to fix the other one and get a decent back up solution (Buffalo 1TB station costs almost $900 ). Oh well, as they say, hope springs eternal... but I'll be in hibernation for this week
  8. I like the first strap and the ridged one... that may work well for the PO. Lug widths for genuine PO's: 42.5mm PO : standard 20mm 45mm PO: 22mm The older 45mm rep PO had a 20mm lug width, but the newer version has 22mm. Just use a ruler to measure it, should be obvious.
  9. No idea if this is still going ahead but most ppl will be back after New Years I think.
  10. I'd love to go, but it's way too expensive now
  11. Usil is right - I've had a Dell employed engineer come to fix a work laptop and say there is no real difference between a Toshiba or Dell laptop... whichever one gives the best after-sales support is best, unless you can take care of problems yourself. It *does* sound like it could be the plug (I had a similar problem with a phone charger in the past) or perhaps the contacts in the case... I couldn't really tell you. Maybe call up Toshiba (or the vendor) for support?
  12. I've had all the Visionaries cartoons (only 13 of them made) transferred from VHS to DVD I also have all of Dungeons & Dragon; Spiderman & His Amazing Friends; Spiderman (90s); X-Men (90s); Fantastic Four (90s); Samurai Jack; Transformers Seasons 1 & 2, plus the movie; Thundercats season 1; Talespin first series; a fair amount of Dogtanian, but only one Mysterious Cities of Gold I'm sure I haven't mentioned all of what I have, but one you didn't is Ulysses 31 ! I loved that! Also Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors!
  13. I notice that these are blacks and browns...!
  14. Then again, this is the same guy who goes around saying Schindler's List is the greatest fictional movie made...!
  15. If it's not computer games getting blamed it's rap music. One guy I know is now attributing all the ills of London on black kids waering baggy clothes listening to rap music causing all the crimes and unrest... how stupid can people get?
  16. Prices seem to be getting high on this.... I looked at the decent looking ones and they cost 2k and up! Perhaps someone will want to post this in the RichardTracy Polls area and see if it's popular enough for Silix to make. I have a feeling that it may be, with it's little hint of PAM-ness....! Blasphemy!
  17. Very very nice I thought the trademarked name was V for Veni straps ?
  18. I agree about the PAM036, that seems to be my fall-back watch if I can't think of anything else or can't be bothered to wind and set date/GMT hands etc. I wear it a lot more than I thought I would and it has relegated the PAM001 from any wear at all!
  19. Whoever bought it must be reaching "V for Veni" levels of Paneraitis-induced insanity
  20. PAM001 - Never wore it, and now I have 2x PAM036 it may never be... just sits in the drawer PAM092 - I really like this one but it never got worn and is now gone... I really liked it too but money was scarce and I was made an offer MBW Two Tone Sub Silver Serti dial with solid 18k midlinks - wear it sometimes but not as often as I should considering the cost! Actually I should say any RLX ... I just hardly wear them! I got a PreciousTime YachtMaster Rolesium which I like but hardly ever wear either. As well as some eBay Daytonas and Subs and GMTs I got ripped off on last year before I found RWG and all were unworn too! :wounded: There's also a Xemex I got from narikaa which is nice, but I've never worn it!
  21. Happy birthday Admin... sorry I didn't send my wishes earlier, but for reasons you know of, I would have been tied up on the day myself. Hope you had a good one.
  22. This one is 2892 only and won't work for the other 2.
