  1. See you in 3 weeks ? I hope the wait will be worth it... hoping for screwed in bezel markers that are all SS and not plated SS too... lume is no problem, that's one I would be ok with as it's normal on reps... but if they DO fix things like that, date fonts, etc I won't complain
  2. Luck of the draw... the other problem is that the watch you like may not be produced any more ... eg. original version of the PAM187 with Asian7750 movement, or the IWC GST Chrono. The other alternative, for those real good ones, is to replace the Asian 7750 with ETA 7750 if and when the Asian 7750 dies, or pre-empt it and do it from the beginning I haven't had any of my Asian 7750s serviced... wait I think I only have one, the IWC GST, but I would like to put in an ETA 7750 in there cos the watch is that damn good!
  3. Wednesday evening: RXW Plasmir Milgraph 7750 - went to watch Casino Royale (Orange Wednesdays half price ) grea legibility in the dark
  4. For that price I'd definitely want to consider it!
  5. How about some enterprising chap finding out where Jimmy makes his crown guards ? The shop will be tooled up for it and happy to continue making money?
  6. Look here to see that brand new it is being sold for around $600 ! Considering thomasng's one is unused, it's a great deal. Remember that this is the same movement as the real thing, and unlike the PAM028, does not need PVD coating (about $150). If you really want to mod it, you are looking at relume, cyclops and maybe a crown and you have as close to genuine as you can get, at around 10% of the price or less
  7. Lovely result at Celtic Park, made in Japan Guarantees Celtic's qualification due to better overall head to head against man ure (away goals!). Fingers crossed for Benfica to knock them out like last year
  8. As great as that strap is, I love the IWC bracelet
  9. I tend to run the chrono closer to 12 so it's (in my mind) easier to reset... guess I should let it run til 9 instead
  10. Let that "mega-dealer" use your wwatermarked pictures with your email address and website on it, I'm sure that will make him look good, and bring customers to you
  11. My deepest condolences, Neil, keep your head up, and remember time heals.
  12. Tuesday: Omega Seamaster GMT white dial. morgan: That's a PAM027. I believe thomasng (somehow) still has one at the trading zone here. It has the same movement as the genuine - ETA2892 with Sopras Power Reserve model. I have the PAM028 which also has the same movement. These may well be out of production already and scarce by now!
  13. You are correct, I have a couple of true GMTs and they have the independently adjustable hour hand - much more useful than the independently adjustable GMT hand, as you look at the main watch face to read the time I would also beware of the modified movements. No idea how reliable they may be...!
  14. Great! sql_pl returns! What'd I tell ya ?
  15. PreciousTime, Homer and Narikaa are UK based dealers... maybe they can fix it for you, for a small fee? Finepics is usually good at sorting out problems on watches, ask him, and for a small fee I am sure he will fix it (busy lad you know!). Davey deals mostly with r*l*x but he could be worth an ask too. In Europe, you could ask Palpatine or RepAustria (I think). Good luck!
  16. Omega PO black bezel; Vacheron Constantin Overseas, IWC Ingenieur or GST Chrono (titanium).
  17. Welcome! With a name like that I'd expect you are Portuguese or Brasilian, or a fan of the striker!
  18. Do you drink because everyone else does? Did you start drinking, even though it tasted like pi$$ because everyone else did? Did peer pressure get you? Edit: Post is aimed at the reader, not necessarily Nanuq.
