  1. Personally prefer the 176H, as I already have a 036 which is similar enough.
  2. I wish I could do that too... would love to get one... but no money... good luck. If you get on the list can you remove yourself when you get to the top if you can't afford it ?
  3. Monday: Two-Tone Titanium/Tantalium Omega SMP Chrono Tuesday: PAM036 with Veni Productions HKTan shrunk strap Wednesday: Probably PAM036 with brown genuine alligator strap on deployant.
  4. Very very nice... the terrible trio
  5. Quite a few to name, do searches and ye shall find that this was oft discussed. One obvious tell is that there is no flyback capaility.
  6. With baseball bats and a blowtorch? Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  7. Prefer non-chrono and working inner bezel (unlike AP wempe reps).
  8. Nice watch Sash, that one should work... very very nice
  9. I never read this at work... social life is destroyed with this addiction as it is, don't want to lose my job over reading this constantly! Admin/Mods doing what they should and not just dictating like on other boards (BBC Sports boards spring to mind!).
  10. Sorry to reduce the tone of this thread, I can't help myself. Everything's going wrong! I'll get my coat.
  11. One is mine too, for the PAM028! Once the palpatine crown is here, this watch'll be off to you for the full works
  12. I'm not 100% sure, but isn't Chrono Avenger only supposed to be in titanium?
  13. Sad but true. And we'd all be asking for reps of it!
  14. Yes, what is wrong with an Angelus 8-days movement? Is it not possible to put into a PAM case? Can hands be bought for it ? I'd be happy with a non-PAM dial just for that movement
  15. Maybe so, but Subs, Seadwellers, SMPs (and even Seawolfs) are name watches, as in a lot of people have heard of the companies Rolex, Omega and sometimes even Breitling. They carry a kind of status with them, while, sadly, Sinn and Doxa do not. Rolex and Omega are also seen as fashionable watches, partly due to their name and partly due to their price-tag. Personally, for me, even though it won't come into use in the capacity it is designed for, the attraction of the Sinn U1 or U2 is the submarine steel used, the hardened bezel, the oils used in the watch which will allow it to work upto around -40 degrees celsius etc The U2 also has a capsule which keeps moisture away. I'm not sure if these ones also have the liquid filled interior. Things like these just won't be repped properly, and is part of owning a Sinn U1/U2... at least for me. I'd save up for the genuine. Others may (and probably do) feel differently. By the way, where can I get a slightly used SMP or Seawolf for under $1k? I may be interested once I can save up enough! Was the $850 for a quartz or automatic full size? Please let me know.
  16. Great watch! As this is a fantasy model now (and what a fantasy!), perhaps you could have the small sub-seconds and minute/hour hand all the same lume colour, and all the chrono hands a different colour ? That would help you differentiate between the 2 as well
  17. BBC is a good resource. I find Soccernet and The Guardian's Football section and World Soccer to be good sites to read as well.
  18. I think 2893 is different to 2892 ... so I'm not sure if this datewheel will work for the Power Reserve models. Oh yeah forgot to say I have 2 GMTs so that's how many I need when you're ready
  19. Yes very poor away games. I don't know the stats on this game, but all the others Liverpool had more shots on and off target against their opponents (even the man ure game. believe it or not). All the toughest games are out of the way now: man ure, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Bolton. The Bolton and Chelsea ones should have been wins in games the away team dominated, but such is football.
  20. And if you want top quality, V has some of HKTan's custom straps for sale... trust me I know, as I have some!
  21. After his spats with members: giving details of rep owners to Panerai when they cracked down on him selling to rep owners; his subsequent arguments with everyone over it on here, and antagonising people; and finally his trademarking of Dirk's name (without the real Dirk's permission - did him no favaours at the P forum when this happened); it seems like he'll do whatever it takes to protect himself and make money... Raises concerns with me about quality. If he's prepared to do everything he has, maybe he's prepared to sacrifice quality to make a little more... Whatever you like really, there are so many good strap makers that I haven't really had the desire to buy from TC. Maybe I've misjudged him, but so far all the straps I've wanted have been from other brands/companies. "You picks yer poison"...
  22. Correct, and he's in dealer's section under accessories on here. I have got a few from him (carbon, vertigo), and on his offers here on RWG, he even has buckles as part of a deal
