I got this winder this week and it's pretty impressive. I travel a lot and most winders are too bulky to pack along. It's damn quiet and a pretty cool departure from the standard type of winder. It's a bit pricey at about $300 but... It's an Orbita so at least they have one of the best reputations.
Ahh yes... The flash in the Pan Pam's have come and will go... but the classic Sub remains eternal.
Fantastic 50 years ago, still stylish and contemporary today and will be 50 years from now.
Yes, well... Don't you have better things to care/[censored] about?
I could cut the irony with a knife Let's not get too carried away with this. Some of us really don't like to have the GD watch discussions populated with "off topic" and non-watch rep issues. The self proclaimed "voice of reason" does not bode well with ending the thread "peaceful like". i.e. just because breaking the posting rule does not bother you does not mean it does not bother others.
Ummm... not to "rock the boat" but you've got a thread in the General discussion forum that links to some guy doing martial arts (I've not been able to see the flick but I've heard no mention of watches). One of our mods posted in that thread (http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=17122) and did not bother to move it to "off topic".
My connection speed is not good enough to for video until the middle of the night so I can't see what the hype is until then. Is there anything watch related in the video or should this be considered "off topic"?
Where I live, pearls are cheap, cheap, cheap... When I visit back in the US I bring my family members strings of beautiful pearls and they LOVE them. Women here where I live (on an island in the South China Sea) don't have any interest in them
You have good taste in the choice of pendant design though.
This one is NICE. I have the gen (same one pictured with black dial). It looks pretty much spot on.
If it were not for the Asian 7750 I'd seriously consider picking one up. Aside from an Oris I have, my Timewalker is the only one of my gens I don't own a rep of... yet.
Excellent selections Not too much like xmas here (China... go figure) so these songs will brighten the mood in this big ole house.
Kinda makes me wonder what Shady's xmas mix would look like
Thank god I never had kids
I must say there was a time I would have agreed with you. I have an LV rep which has been moded... massaged etc. and It's a fine looking piece. Compared to my gen LV it's dull though. The sparkle and shine of the gen vs. the rep are WORLDS apart on the wrist.
That's not to say that the reps are of poor quality or that the casual or even pre-WIS would be able to pin them as reps... The reality is that the gen has more pop. $5000 more pop...? well... that's another discussion
Strange dynamics. I live here my (China) and I buy my reps from dealers on this site via my USA address Good watch reps are too hard to find. Wallets, bags etc. are easy to come by though.
DW won't even sell me a watch unless he sends it to USA address... he won't ship to my China address...
