Is that a quartz SMP Bond?

It's automatic, you can tell by the word Chronometer on the dial.

I am inexactly the same boat so I am very interested in the outcome of this as it may push me one way or the other!

What Tag??? The hangtag is there if that is what you mean. It came complete and I even got my guy to throw in a PO custom polishing cloth

Congratulations I prefer the red chrono to the standard red SMP. The chrono is meant to look complicated so the colour doesn't detract from it as much.Did you keep the Tag?

Members of rep forums are more likley to spot a rep at first glance than a gen collectors who doesn't hang around on the boards, and they are also less likely to call you out (part of the etiquette of rep collecting - although some rep collectors are complete @rses and call people out)

So in answer to your question, will people know its a rep navi - no chance unless they can inspect it very closely, from 5 feet away at a glance it wouldn't even cross their mind that it's a rep.

Overall it looks very good, especially now that they're putting the correct looknig date font in, that really is the finishing touch for a Breitling. I'd rather have the correct datewheel, than a slightly off date window, never going to notice that on the wrist!

Well, they don't have this one in France neither on the omega site.

Yes I agree with you, that's a direct threat to Rolex.

I'm surprised they didn't before.

I'm based in the UK, so it's definitely coming to Europe too.

I don't think it will be much of a threat to Rolex, I feel people buy Rolex's for two reasons

a) because it is the first thing that they think of when it comes to wealth (sort of ingrained in their mindset)

or they have a genuine passion for the Rolex brand (due to the older subs etc..).

I therefore think that a black SMP wouldn't really threaten the Rolex market of Subs, because they are aimed at very different sub-markets.

Nope, this is genuine, and the one that I saw in an AD a few days ago. It looks like the 007 ltd ed will get a flat black dial and horrible seconds hand, whilst the standard version gets the wave dial and more simple seconds hand.....still prefer the orginal Bond SMP though!

I keep reading it will be released in two weeks, I am looknig forward to it, but don't hold your breath on the release. If it's under 300USD Il eat my hat

If you have no experience in servicing a watch before I would not make this a watch that you experiement on. There are tutorials flying about, but it would not be an easy movement to start on. Best thing would be to approach your local watchsmith and ask him about it, my local one was more than happy to work on mine.

They all stock the same watch now, unfortunately you will have to swap the datewheels to make it as good as the first batch (relatively cheap). Don't worry about the movement, historically the 21k 7750 was a real pig of a movement, the newer one is much better. For peace of mind and a very good reliable movement a service is recommended, but it is as good as most movements out there on the rep market at the moment!

The co-axial movement can go for longer between services, potentially saving money in the long run.

Very nice, however I would say this is a slightly modded AP. Franken implies alot of gen parts, such as dial, bezel, bracelet etc...

As mentioned it does exist, I saw a quartz version on saturday at an AD Looked pretty good, but for me the blue is the only way to go still.

Oh my, the AP ROO is one of my favourite watch, my problem is going to be choosing which one to finally purchase, the all back on steel, or the black rubberclad, decisions decisions!!

Fantastic collection, a nice variety of watches. I am very envious of that Ferrari you own also, it is the one car I have promised to myself that I will buy when I can afford one, absolutely stunning, and you can't beat the electrifying engine note that they make under full throttle!
