  1. I haven't bought this particluar model, but I would say that Angus' 'Ultimate 111E' would rank highly among the Pam fans, especially for the price! Check out his section for further details. I have bought a 127 from Angus and the service and the product is very good.

  2. Yes it's gen. There were two different version released. I can't remember the exact details, Pug commented on this a while ago, so when he sees this thread I'm sure he'll comment. Might have been the x-fish plus, and the standard version had different details like this.

  3. Hey there Dutchy. Im in the same boat as you. I'm a partner in the family construction firm. Although Im at uni I still help run it part time. When business is going well it pays dividends. When it has a quiet phase, it can be tough. Thankfully we have had a constant flow of work recently. A year and a half ago though, we had a few months where there was a slight downturn. Cash flow was a problem.

It certainly has pro's and con's. We work until we finish the job, and if we don't have another job to do, we have the afternoon off, funded by the previous job. When you take time off for holiday, you dont get paid. However, if it is successful the income should even out.

Know your market well. Thoroughly research it. Have a realistic target, and a time frame. Do the number crunching, and make sure it is viable.

If it is possible, test the market first before you make the jump and invest a large quantity of money and time. If you're overheads are high, and it doesn't work out, it will be a stressful period.

If you have done your research, and the numbers look good, check everything again. If you're convinced by realistic and positive evidence that it will succeed try it.

Sorrry I can't be a little more specific without further details of the venture., Hope this helps.

  4. No Finepics isn't aking any more work. I wouldn't sell ths one. I have seen Marks work first hand and it is wonderful. He used to have a great selection of self-modded pams, but he sold them, so there aren't many of his around anymore. I fear if you sell yours you may regret it a few months later.

  5. Don't let something as minor as the AR or the lume to put you off buying this. I can say for sure, it has been a long time since I have seen a basic SMP worthy of buying.

The He valve looks good, dial is good, the main factors are spot on. If the AR is a problm, get it coated. The main factors of the watch (ie the ones you cant change so easily) are all spot on. Anyway the AR coating on this watch (the gen) doesn't give off the blue hue like the PO. It is an invisible coating to reduce glare by a small amount.
