  1. V, The Winter Park location is pretty close to me, if you can't find anyone else I'd have no problem going and picking it up and you can Paypal me afterward. LMK I'll probably be heading that way toward the end of the week.
  2. Which is A.O.K. with me. Asian 21J has proven to be reliable so far with great pricing, with 28k beat rate I am even more pleased. I would like to hear some durability reviews though from teh elders.
  3. Not sure the difference between the Tag's; however, the difference in the SMP's are the old movement vs the new Co-Axial. Price is probably different, and the older version should still be available in most places until they sell out and are replaced with the new movement models.
  4. You seem to be purchasing the wrong replicas my friend. When you get to the option to pick between Asian and ETA, I would suggest you start picking the ETA version... you might do a little better. I've had no problem walking in to an AD with my 42mm PO or Link, nor will I with my Link Chrono. The purpose of the watch salesman seems to be lost on many for some reason. AD salesmen/women are not there to tell you about the watch you're looking to buy; about 3/4 of them have no clue WTF 28k BPH means when I ask them if that's the beat rate for the Omega PO (which we all know here isn't true). They are called "sales" for a reason. I've got a friend in my local BMW club who used to work for Mayors; top seller, made plenty of $$$ selling people Rolex's, Tag's, Omega's; yet when I showed him my PO, he had no clue.. You know why? Because while working at the store, his nametag said SALESMAN not "I have a clue what this watch offers as well as the specifications". The only person I have gotten a smidgen of intelligent information on a watch model in an AD was the manager wearing a DJ that I spent a good 10 mins with discussing Tag's. If you think you can't walk in to an AD with a decent rep (DECENT being the key word here, and there are plenty of them: Tag Link Chrono, Omega SMP GMT, Omega SMP Chrono, Ultimate PO, B&R 092, IWC Ingenier, etc etc etc) and not get called out... you're wrong. You just have to not be a [censored]tard and flash your $80 Canal street Folex around; and you shouldn't have a problem with this at all.
  5. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=18681 Another I can't view. I tried logging out and back in like one of the admins suggested (anti-leech script); cleared cookies and returned, and still have the error. On a side note, my wallet seems to be a lot happier since this has happened.
  6. In the sales section, for instance the topic "Breitling Chronomat Evolution White", when I click on the pics jdmdohcpower attached, I receive this error: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=18655 "Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information." The error returned was: Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available. I'm logged in, and can view all the board with no problems. This is just one of every attachment I try to view and get that error. I figured it was post related, but I just hit 20 and still no go.
  7. I JUST purchased myself a new camera. I was considering Panasonic for their image stabilization, but once I started shooting and found the noise issues they have with their CCD I quickly moved on to Fuji. For lower lighting conditions, the Fuji F20 and F30 are both incredible camera. Fuji has an incredible CCD that can process ISO 800 pictures at the same quality my Canon SD processes 400. I opted away from both of those though, for one simple reason; feel of use. I went to CC, BB, WM, tons of B&M stores and tried out what I liked. I quickly fell in love with Canon again (my ex's camera was a SD 400 I believe). The response, feel, look, and performance of Canon for a pns camera is UNMATCHED. I also considered Sony's W and T lines. The W30, W50, W70 as well as the T10 were all serious considerations. After all, the Canon SD700IS took it for me. I paid $280 shipped (US Dollars, not sure what it is in pounds, but should be lower than 200). This is the flagship model released in 2006 for Canon, and one of the BEST performers rated by anyone. Is it the initial PnS available with Image Stabilization, and I tell you 100% I will never own another camera without this. No matter what type of picture I am taking, the IS is incredible. I take a lot of lower lighting and tripod pictures, mostly of automobiles friends and I own. I also take a lot of macro shots (guess of what and this is also one of the nicest focusing and responding cameras I have ever felt. Couple the incredible performance with Canons lens and CCD and this is a great piece. The only thing it lacks is ISO over 800, which honestly isn't that big of a deal for me. The SD800IS is also available if you want a 7mp camera; however this model moves up to the 28mm wideangle lens constructed of plastic (creates softened corners) lens instead of the tradition crystal clear glass offered in the SD700. My biggest pet peeve is a camera that delays when trying to focus, has a long lag time between shot processing, or a lackluster CCD. This Canon, with its Digic II processor, IS, and incredible start up and pic to pic speed is all incredible (see dpreview reviews as well as comparative specs against the other models you are considering). Form is also a consideration for me, which also deterred me from the Fuji and Panasonic line. The only feature that I would have liked to have seen in the camera is a manual aperature mode. In the price range you're shopping, the Fuji F30 is the other contender that offers this, while the F20 doesn't. Other than that, this camera has every feature one could ask for in a PnS. For anyone, I would highly recommend the SD700. More information on this, as well as any model camera, can be found at http://www.dpreview.com And since you asked, here are a couple pics taken with my SD700. I've had it less than 2 weeks, and these are highly compressed with no post processing done whatsoever. The full size copies are crisp and clear. http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/562/11tl2.jpg <--picture was taken and edited entirely on the camera. What most people do with photoshop to highlight 1 color, this camera allows me to do on its own. You can select any color IN CAMERA and have it replace any other color, you can highlight 1 color, crop, do anything. http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6839/4jv7.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2341/2cl6.jpg http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/9752/10vc7.jpg http://img307.imageshack.us/img307/3953/img1806oq7.jpg http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/3003/1831cw8.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/4061/img1756mediumzc3.jpg <--NWS http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/3835/1vw1.jpg Couple watch pics (I am not using a lightbox, so don't expect dealer type photos..yet): http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/1845/img2426mediumqi0.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/726/img2420mediumlk9.jpg
  8. Woohoo 41-14. Adios Ohio.
  9. Was considering picking up one for Xmas. I know with the influx of Link popularity everyone will probably tell me to skip this and go for one of them, but what do you guys think of this piece: http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=331 The closest thing I could find: http://www.prestigetime.com/item.php?item_id=3958 Here it shows the black datewheel as opposed to the white in the rep, however with the other model Carrera, they offer the white datewheel with black face: http://www.prestigetime.com/item.php?item_id=5222 Either way, not a big deal just something I noticed. Anything else I should be concerned with, the 21J maybe?
  10. This was my first, and still favorite rep. It had a mishap in a salt water swimming pool, and the movement started getting very rough then stopped working about 2 months later. She has sat in my watch box since. I'd really like to get a replacement movement for her, but don't know where or how to do so; hopefully you guys can help me out. Original: Asian Auto, unknown BPH, no markings.
  11. All it needs now is some age-ing and it'll be good to go. That thing looks very nice.
  12. That thing looks amazing. What did that originate as, and what all was changed? How close is this to the original (haven't seen many Tudor gens even)
  13. Anything, anything at all? And where can I get it?
