  1. docblacrock: hey, thanks for the compliment! It's always fond to remember the days when we booted the snot nose, pompous, arrogant, stuck up, proper, anal, sarcastic Brits (even though they would have gladly left peacefully a few years down the road anyway). ;):D

    jraines87...thanks...uh, but, what's fendushi?

Uh..... Look about 5 or so posts up.... fendushi is a long standing member of these boards... fendushi is a Mod at the old RWG....

  2. There were problems with that welcome message in the old RWG. It had ziggy's name in there (which he objected to) as well as recommending RBJ (now also a mod at RWI).

It also had one dealer put above others, which I'm sure, not everyone would agree with or like.

In a nutshell, we offered to pin this guide in the newbie section for Klink, but he somehow took offense to this and wanted to raise a stink. I personally think it was a great guide. A bit long winded and skewed to certain dealers & sites :g: , but overall a good guide. Regardless the intent of this guide, we got several complaints about this "Welcome" message and that's when asked him to allow us to pin it instead of him sending it to every new member. Although I rarely understood half of what Klink was saying, I did enjoy seeing him around...

  3. Bought two reps from Joshua so far, waiting on #2. They're so incredibly nice. About to buy my wife a DJ rep, but want to hear thoughts on the quality of the stones used in reps vs real diamonds. I am not concerned about jewelers, just want to know if they're good enough for the casual observer?

If ya don't over do it you shoud be fine. Especially on a female watch since it's smaller.....

I had a Ralex From rive with a diamond bezel and loved it... I had to sell it off after my wife kept making fun of me though... She's not into the "Pimp" thing.. :(

  4. OK . . .

    Obviously I'm missing something here . . .

How can ANY dealer just delete a bad or even a not so great review from a member here??

I realize that the vast majority of reviews I've read, both @ RWG1 & here during the last year have generally been good, but I know I've also read some not-so-good reviews too. And especially about Aspire . . . won't say Paul, because at the time, if I remember right, people weren't sure it really was him running Aspire then.

I didn't know that the dealers had Mod's or Admin's permissions and would be able to do something like that. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of the Dealer Review section, doesn't it ??

    Brian,

Dealers can not delete reviews here... I think he was talking about paul deleting reviews on the aspire web site. I mean hell, if any dealer would like to delete topics it would be TTK

I've not really responded to any Paul threads, but I will throw this tidbit in for consideration...... I've never had any problem from Aspire/paul. Some of the best deals, highest quality watches I have are from there... Most if not all the bad publicity about paul stems from the crazy sale. Don't know this to be a fact, but I'm not aware of anyone actually being ripped off from the crazy sale, but I do know that it took months for some to recieve either a refund or a watch..

  5. None of those can be repped, but I think the Azimuth can be had for around $1500 if you like the Mille/CVSTOS look...

Technically I suppose they could be repped, but I guess in the end it just wouldn't be worth the expense...

Could you imagine owning that collection? Damn.... We're talking Bill Gates kind of $$ to own all of those
