Hi Community, I have the opportunity to buy a Gen 78350 Bracelet with 557 endlink. I

I fly abroad every 2 weeks and sometime take 2 or 3 reps with me to work on them at the Hotel. Only once I had my cabin suitecase case checked by the customs. I had a GMT master on my wrist and my BK Sub and my 4th gen PO were in a watch bag in the suitcase. I was pretty confident with the quality of these one but you never know if the custom officer is not a member fo rwg ! they saw them and asked if they were mine and the only comment I had is "nice watches, do not lose your bag". Or they were searching for drug, or my business man look saved me ... So do not be afraid of traveling with a good quality rep and enjoy your journey

I would be interrested to know more about the first step. How do you remove the bezel. Like on a sub with a knife or a razor blade ?

Bought many for me and friends before going to 4th gen and UPO. But is seems the pearl was better on early batches. Anyway wear it well, a very good beater.

Unless you find an already modded one, Navitimer world is better out of the box. Around 300 bucks at any dealer, avoid low cost navi that are really crap...

Did not decided yet between both, but not sure price/longevity is in favor of ETA, considering you can by 3 asian versions for 1 ETA... AR is best but can be done lately. Is it saphir on both ? That could make the choice

I bought that watch from another member with a brown hirch strap. But as I prefer this navi with a black one and deployment buckle, I order the rep croc breitling strap proposed by various dealers. I must say the look is perfect for me, but I am bothered by the inside lining which have a plastic feeling. Beginmariner pearls are so crappy... Normally it "should" fit more or less. If the current insert is good enought to you and already sits correctly in the bezel, pearl only is the way to go... if tou can remove the bezel. Sometimes it can be tricky on nook like sub. The other way it to remove the insert with the bezel in place (with a razor blade or a small screwdriver) and install a complet wm one. Certainly you will have to sand it a bit but there are many tutos here. Last option would be to add a clear coat of epoxy above the existing pearl. Could be the first step before ordering something... Have fun !

I checked again and it is a question of total amout. 2 pearls and 1 insert = 45$ + 15$ of shipping charge. 2 perls and 2 insert = 70$ + 75$ of shipping charge !!! So I will split my order... Thanks for your info

Would a crystal replacement (gen or clark) with new gasket solve this issue on a SSD or nothing to hope ? I have a SSD lite and had never noticed that. The watch as a strong feeling and is. Scuba diving, windsurfing, canyoning. We spent a nice summer together with everything fine, still near mint condition !!! A very good beater, not a watch to keep in a box .

Thanks a lot for all this tips. I think I will try more or less everything while waiting to solve the crystal issue. It's real fun to start this kind of project. Regarding the insert: - First step: Bath of "cillit" bang for 45 min to remove the gloss finish. - Second step: bath of 50%water 50% bleach during 10 min - Third step: Bath od pure bleach until I saw black paint in the beach (around 5 min I think) . Beware that the result is seen only after drying the insert, so stay close !

Just positionned on the case to have an idea of the final look. Still need to age the case but I do not know really the method. Any suggestion ?

I confirm this is a good step before a quick bleaching. I bought bleach yesterday and it gives a good result IMO. I'll post pictures later
