  1. Yeah... I reduced the pics as well? No idea what happened there... sorry guys! My wrist size is about 20cm. They are big watches but the contour of them really follows the wrist. Very comfortable. One later point. I think the rubber strap is of lower quality than the original. It does not seem to be the same from the pics I have seen. Nylon is 1:1 and very comfortable. I may by a gen rubber strap. A
  2. Hey all So I just received my new B&R from Precious Time.... First of all I am new to both B&R and Precious Time and all I can say is WOW! I'm no stranger to high end watches super reps and gens, my collection includes AP's, Hublots, PAM's and gen rollies and Brietlings but there was something about the BR02 that drew me to it. It's very sporty but has cleaner lines than the HBB and even the AP. I had seen one in the window of a local AD and though I'd try out the rep. I ordered from Precious Time as I needed it via the UK into Spain. The communications were fast and efficient as was the entire service. It takes a while longer this route but is better in the long run I feel. I went for the nylon strap with a spare rubber as back up. The whole lot cost 284GBP. First impressions... Heavy, well constructed and smooth, very smooth. Tight well fitted pushers with heavy duty rubber guards. Nice Ar and a pretty decent lume. Date wheel is sunken but I knew that. That seems to be the only give away that I can tell.... The internal bezel is fun although it does seem to slip when you wear the watch. Not sure if I can stop that or not. It is tight though. It may be where the mechanism (the 3rd pusher on the left) rubs on my wrist and turns the bezel. Very, very comfortable! Amazingly comfortable. It curves around the wrist and is no effort to wear. Seems to be keeping good time (runs secs @ 3) Chrono works well and resets to 12. Only small issue is the date wheel slips a bit when changing the date. This may turn into a problem, or it may settle down. We'll see. Either way I'll get this one serviced as it's a keeper. Over all.... In my opinion it's better than my AP's and HBB's in terms of comfort. The Nylon strap is very comfortable as is the rubber. Not sure which one I like best although the feeling from my friends and Mrs is the rubber. Think I'll go nylon in the day and rubber at night:) I am now a B&R fan big time! Well worth the money! Okay on to the pics! Laters A No idea what happened with the pics? More to enjoy I guess:) A
  3. Okay, great! Thanks chaps! A
  4. Will do. He's the guy that doesn't speak English though right? My German sucks big time! A
  5. Hello all, hope everyone is well and gearing up for the weekend:) I've had a look through past threads but I can't seem to find any mention of a reliable watchmaker in the UK.... I need some cosmetic work doing and some servicing? On a watch btw, although now I come to think of it I could sure use some servicing as well..... Thanks A
  6. Interesting thread!!!! Independent film and TV production for my sins. Mostly producing but I write a bit as well. Just started on a new script last night actually. Problem is I keep surfing RWG when I should be working:) A
  7. Sorry to hear about your ROO. Had a very similar issue with mine. Would be really interested if anyone can suggest a reputable guy in UK/EU for graphite treatment. Sounds like the way to go!!!! For what it's worth, get it serviced sooner rather than later, it'll cost more down the line... trust me:) A
  8. I agree. I seem to be spending more and more time here and more and more $ on watches, gen's and reps. Then again everyone needs a hobby right? Why not this one! There's worse ways to blow your hard earned cash.... Like in Vegas for example! Hey that's a thought, maybe we should have an annual RWG get together in Vegas.... Just a thought... just putting it out there... Mind you none of us would have any money left by the time we got there but we'd sure look the part from the wrist down! A
  9. Okay. Cool guys, thanks. I'll try to source a spare hand and take it from there. Really appreciate the feedback..... Cheers A
  10. Hey guys Am looking for an opinion / some advice on this... First a little story. Once upon a time........ As some of you may remember I posted last year regarding an AP ROO secs at 12 that I had recently purchased that, well, basically died on me. I got the watch from fasiontime88 via Trade Tang (this was before I discovered RWG and the trusted dealers), ordered it with a box (never came, ever!).... The watch worked fine for a day and then died. I emailed the seller... nothing.... for months Eventually I tracked down a really nice watchmaker in the UK (via a suggestion on RWG) it was the death of the AP ROO that led me to the forum (silver lining) Only AFTER I had sent the watch to the UK did the seller eventually ask me to send it back (too little too late). Then began a very slow and long process of discovery which led the watchmaker to conclude that the motor was knackered beyond repair. Balls! So my $580 super rep was a paper weight. Fortunately I was able to pick up another damaged ROO from Richard Lawton for about $250 (thanks btw) and shipped it off to the UK for my friendly watchmaker to get to work on. A few months later he sent me a working AP ROO! I activated the chronograph and.... the large second hand hand fell off Okay.... Sent it back to a rather puzzled watchmaker and waited.... Yesterday I received my watch. What a relief. It
  11. Hi Thanks for the info... Regarding the movement, I was thinking A7750? It's not really a question of $, although the 7750 seems a LOT cheaper than the 7753. I was under the impression that the models with the 7750 had the correct spelling on the bezel and the others didn't? My thought process was to start there and then mod upwards. Would it be better to start with the 7753 and then change? To be honest, for me the major flaw is the date wheel.... it bugs the hell out of me! I read your review btw. V nice watch... v nice!!!! regards A
  12. Hi guys Hope you can help with this one.... I am looking at buying a Pam250, black dial, as close as possible to the gen. From what I have seen the date font on the reps seems to be really thin and I have read on this forum that there are a few other issues. So..... I am thinking of buying the watch from Chris at Eurotimez and then have it modded. Is this the best option? And if so what changes will I need to make to the piece and who should I contact to do them (I am in the EU) Thanks for your time A
  13. Nope.... have tried everything. The hands just will not stay on irrespective of how hard I push and what I use. Am afraid that if I keep trying I will damage something... Moral of this story is once again.... let someone else fix it! Bugger:( A
  14. Thanks Col Will give that a go. Gotta head out now will be back in a few hours. I'll let you guys know how I get on.... IF I get on that is:) A
  15. Thanks man, tried both hands on both movements, they just fall off and won't stay put? Very strange. Neither hand fits either watch anymore???? All I have done is swapped the dials over and replaced the hands. Second hands are being swines! I can locate the hole, set the second hand on top, push gently and nada, falls right back off again.... A
  16. Hey all I had 2 sub's. 1 was broken so I have swapped the dials over and and now having real problems getting the second hand back on. It does not seem to want to stay put and keeps falling off. I don't want to push too hard. Is there some trick to this or is it just patience? The hour hand and minuet hand are fine and aligned but the little second hand is being a bugger. FYI no watch tools just tweezers and toothpicks:) Help! Thanks A
  17. Nice one Chris. Have never had anything but fast, professional dealings with you guys. Everyone goes through rough patches now and again. It's how we deal with it that counts. Wear your heart on your sleeve, and live with integrity and you can't go far wrong. Keep it up guys!!!! Talk soon A
  18. Hey Zack, welcome aboard! Firstly the AP ROO movement is a worry. Some have had good experiences, some bad (mine was bad) but it's a great looking watch that really wears well if it works. The HBB is a killer in my book, am looking at pulling the trigger on an Ice Bang, although I also like the SS (very good rep). Apparently the Swordfish is a fantastic rep but if it were me I'd go Big Bang. Better in the long run. Look at the watches section, they often pop up for sale. Oh yeah, I have a Super Ocean gen, had it for years. Wear it most days.... it'll last a life time. Get it on! A
  19. Yup, that's it alright. Saw this (below) on repgeek....... So it's out there. Just spoke to Chris and he is trying to source it for me and put it on an Ice Bang ceramic. The watch in the pics is a fantasy model I believe but it seems to have the all important titanium bezel. It doesn't have the teeth but the 1st Ice Bang didn't either (until they changed to tungsten) and it's pretty close in color to the first tatalium bezel, I am assuming it will wear better than PVD anyhow..... Will need to be brushed though. A
  20. Really???? That's interesting... am caught between 3 Hublots at the moment. Love the Ice Bang but the PVD bezel is stopping me from buying it. Any idea on the time frame of the new bezels? Did you hear this from one of our dealers? Laters A
  21. Hey guys So I am about to buy a Big Bang from Eurotimez (Chris has been great) and I have narrowed it down to 3 choices... 1) BB SS with ceramic bezel 2) BB Full SS 3) Ice bang full ceramic I am really torn between them.... Number 1 seems to be the most accurate but I love the Ice bang. My worry with the Ice Bang is the PVD coating and how durable it will be. The Full SS is a real eye catcher and seems the best value for money but it has a smooth bezel and the gen that I have seen has teeth??? Any suggestions before I drive myself round the bloody bend!!!! A
  22. Interesting post really but I doubt the whole psychology behind buying a rep can't be done any justice in a 10 point essay. I own 3 gen's. A Rolex GMT II and 2 Breitling's (Super Ocean and Chrono Colt) but yet I still buy reps and in fact I wear the reps more often. Why? Well, I think for a few reasons 1) Daily bangers.... they can get scratched and beaten up and they don't cost me a fortune (I work on sets and sound stages and things do get scratched up and banged up - a lot!) 2) I can change my watch daily if I like, 3) I am now looking at reps that I would never buy a gen of. For example, I would probably by another gen Rolex but I would never pay $20K for an AP or a Hublot....but I'd like to wear one so I buy the rep. Can someone 'spot it', maybe if they are as anal as me or are a dealer but I'm unlikely to walk into a dealers wearing a rep (although I did in Vegas once and seemed to get away with it actually, mind you I was pretty drunk) I know my AP is fake, and to be honest if someone asked me I'd probably say "yes it is a rep" but it cost me $700 which is about $19,300 less than the gen, my rolex is real as are my breitlings, I'm comfortable with that now bugger off and let me finish my beer in peace! (I probably wouldn't mention the fact that my AP fell apart though)... Point is, its a hobby. Maybe a silly one, maybe expensive but I like it, you all like it and what else is there to do with our money... you certainly don't want to put in in a bank right now, may as well have some fun! I'm now off to talk to Chris about buying an Ice Bang! Laters A
  23. Hi The Zigmeister The problem is that I gave it to a guy in Spain to service first and he messed it up. I didn't find this out until the guy in the UK opened it up. Apparently things in there are broken. I have no idea what? I spoke to him yesterday and he said he had stripped it down and cleaned it but when he put it back together it kept falling apart? I presume that even if it were broken it would be fixable with the right parts? Have seen that Richard Lawton is selling the same piece on another thread for about $280 (busted screw thread) and am seriously considering cutting my losses, buying that and then getting my old AP case back from the UK and swapping the movements over. That may be the cheaper option in the long run? You think? I have no idea how much a 7750 movement would cost otherwise...... What I should have done is sent it straight back to the dealer when it stopped working but I was a little 'green' back then..... costly mistake!!!!! Really appreciate the input The Zigmeister, thanks man...... A
  24. Hi Helen Thanks! Unfortunately I do not have MSN but feel free to PM me with the price etc.... Regards A
