  1. Really? That's mental! Am looking now...
  2. Hi all, So as some of you may know Josh has released the long awaited Ice Bang 2 (on a limited run) with a gen tungsten bezel. http://www.1-pc8838.com/hbsp00068-bang-certungru-7750-28800bph-p-9603.html This is pretty exciting for most Hublot fans and we'll have to see how it handles in the flesh. I would order one now but I have to go to Miami for a few weeks so I'll have to wait until I get back From the pics it looks very good. The date wheel font seems to have been addressed as does the rotor. The case back looks okay and I am told that the font is indeed grey and not white (i assume it's the flash and or lighting that makes it look white). The crystal looks slightly raised as per the gen as well, so it does look like it's gearing up to be a winner! The rotor engraving looks a little thick as does the "H" but hey, not bad... Anyone snooping around the site will also see that the V1's are back and are on sale! Mega sale actually (considering what I shelled out for my one)... It is worth noting though that these seem to be the standard V1's with no changes, so the old flaws are still there and you will still need to obtain a new date wheel and TX crystal as well as silver clasp screws and if you really want to, a new case back (although the Ice Bang 1 was released with a black / ceramic case back believe it or not)... The V1 is stated as being "completely interchangeable" with the gen, and I have to say that my V1 accepts a number of oem parts, so I'd have to say that this is true. The V5 is sold as having taken a year to produce using a gen Ice bang 2 as a template. If that is the case then the V5 should, like the V1 be interchangeable with the gen, even more so one could argue as they had the gen to hand! In which case, logic would dictate that the V1 and V5 parts would be interchangeable (if both statements are true)? In which case the new tungsten bezel should fit nicely onto my V1 (Joy)... Erm, no. Apparently not... I asked Josh if he would be selling the bezels as stand alone items and he said no (boooooo) and that they wouldn't fit anyway as they are made by a different producer (?). That's fair enough but if the manufacturing process of the V5 is as stated than it should fit the V1, as the V1 accepts gen parts? If anything the V5 should be identical to the gen, as they had the gen sitting on the bench? Oh well, never mind. Maybe Josh will change his mind once the initial run are sold and the orders come in. I think the demand for the tungsten bezel will be high. I'd probably take 2 at least! Like I said, I am tempted to order the V5 Ice Bang 2 anyway when I get back. If so than I will do a V1 vs V5 review. The only thing stopping me is that I actually prefer the original Ice Bang with the numerical dial? With the demand for the V5 high someone will probably get one before I get back anyway, if they do I hope they post some pics so we can draw our own conclusions. In the meantime let's hope that the tungsten bezels become available as spare parts and that they fit our V1's (which they should do)... I have also picked up a rumour on another board that there may still be new hublot rep developments afoot? No idea what? Let's wait and see... intriguing.... A
  3. Of course, we all know that the only person that will "call you" on the sunken date wheel (should they see it on your rep) will be an AD (if they get close enough) or one of us lot... If it's an AD, well... you're busted - bad times... If it's one of us, well... go and have a couple of cold ones together and compare watches - good times! What a great hobby! Enjoy the weekend, unless your snowed in... in which case, enjoy the internet... A
  4. I had Francisco mod one of my BB last year and he lifted the date wheel to match the gen more (new 2 Geek DW). He does a very good job, if you're interested maybe drop him a line? There are some pics of the mods he did on the forum somewhere, under this section I believe? Nice guy and very good at what he does... Take care A
  5. Cheers Pete, I'll drop him an email... Thanks for the heads up? A
  6. Hey guys Can anyone point me in the direction of a trusted source for a Bell & Ross BR01-94 or 92 box, the rectangle type. Can't seem to track one down? Thanks, and have a great weekend A
  7. I had the same problem with my B&R 01-94 (I think most B&R fans have, at some point lost a screw) They are rubbish and fall out... If you don't have any joy with hont then try here http://www.jacksontse.com/hw038.html Look under his B&R Homage section and then request a set of B&R style screws and pins, IMO they are awesome (better because only one screw is loose, the other is fixed to the pin and... so far I have not lost one) Good luck A
  8. Hey How did it all pan out? Did you manage to get the screw? Same dammed thing JUST happened to me!!!!!!!!!! A
  9. My test was done in one of the glass 'domes' I could see the watch as they tested it
  10. Hi guys I also had my DSSD (from Mary at watch international 'best' version Swiss eta etc etc) pressure tested yesterday and it's the same as above. Passed with flying colours. Just checked the serial number and again, the same as above, so Mary's version would also seem to be from noob factory... Just thought I'd share that Laters A

    XL Box?

Hi guys Anyone know where I can get a new style XL box for my DSSD? I managed to grab a DSSD user manual off of the bay but I can't seem to find a box anywhere I see the watchcartel are flogging the plastic warranty cards (anyone have any experience of these?) (I saw one XL box at qualitytime but they don't ship out of the US - also I have no idea how reputable they are) FYI - Had my DSSD from Mary next to a gen yesterday, we sat there for about 45 mins and the only difference seemed to be that the gas escape valve on the gen is about 2mm smaller in diamater... best copy I've ever seen!!! Thanks all A
  12. Thanks for the heads up on the BR. Appreciate it! A
  13. I'm joking... I keep telling myself one more then I'll stop buying watches but it's impossible... Mary is one of our trusted dealers... A
  14. After almost 2 years I have (I think) finally completed my collection with the final additions from Mary @ watch International... The final 3 for me are as follows... 1) Bell & Ross Br01-94 2) Pam 250 Daylight 3) Rolex Deep Sea Dweller Had to wait a while for the Deep sea dweller due to the issues with the '10' font but the final version is excellent! Once again I can't thank Mary enough for her service and QC. On to the pics.... So that's it. No more... Okay, maybe just one more, but only one, then I'm out... Thanks for looking Have a good weekend guys A
  15. Nice! High beat movement? Croc strap? Looks great!!!!!! Killer watch:) A
  16. FYI I purchased a V1 BB about a year ago from another member and it had the V2 rotor and similar 'H' rotor was a sticker though... I'd take it, so long as it is the 28K movement. Best of both worlds. And you don't need major mods:) A

    BR01-94

Hmmm, maybe? I'd love to see a picture of a GMT 0193 Titanium if you have one. I can't find one anywhere? watchinternational@gmail.com

    BR01-94

So, apparently the best version is the BR01-92 SS black face as I mentioned above (apparently it's 1:1) I tried the gen on today but I still prefer the BR01-94. The GMT is NOT a decent rep so avoid for now. FYI there is no gen SS model available. FYI the thickness of the BR01-94 gen 1s 12.5mm. The rep is 15mm. So it's not actually twice as thick, merely 2.5mm thicker, which is achieved (I believe) by a slightly thicker case back, so the actual watch case is the same thickness. I tried the gen on today and it is far thicker than the BR01-92 (which is about about 12mm)... In comparison both the AP ROO and Daytona reps have thicker case backs than the gens (about the same 2mm difference, due to the 7750 movement) - it's almost unnoticeable, and to be honest the only people that'll spot it is us lot or a AD and I don't usually try to pass a rep off as a gen anyway. I just like collecting watches... So, if you want 1:1 then the BR01-92 However if you can live with a 2.5mm difference in the case thickness (which you'd have to have the rep and gen side by side to notice in reality) I'd go for the 94 chronograph, personally I think it's a nicer piece. It's heavier and with the secs running at 3 is almost 1:1... I am using Mary at the moment for my purchases and so far she has come up trumps every time. Will post some pics when the 094 arrives! A

    BR01-94

Thanks for all the info Am looking at the BR01-92. 1:1 version. Seems the best way to go. However I also really like the BR01-93GMT This is the gen... Andrew has a version here http://www.trustywatchguy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=104_147&products_id=5862 but the DW is white? Anyone know if there is a better rep of this and or the quality of this rep? Thanks A

    BR01-94

Okay, thanks for the info! Appreciate it.. A
  21. Hey all Anyone have any knowledge about the quality of the BR01-94 rep running A7750, sec's @ 3? Tried the gen on the other day and am thinking about getting the rep, just wondered if anyone had any experience with this model or feedback? Thanks A
  22. No more TX crystals... No fair... A
  23. mt666tm... just saw your post re TX vs 2 Geek crystals, so pls ignor previous question... A
  24. OSRep - sharp eyes, it was sunk, indeed (it was actually threaded) It has since been replaced (got the part from Mary @ watchinternational) - good spot though... Re the rotor - same rotor as it came with, I believe he is machining them now:) TX crystal? Really? I'm thinking about it but I have to say that the out of all the gen's I've handled I never noticed the raised crystal? But, maybe I'll have a look around and a re-think... Thanks guys A
