Well the cown in the crystal can bee seen from the moon
and these guys will list a lot of other thing but if you are happy with the watch dont be down hearted, members here can be perfetionists and spent a lot of time and money making perfect replicas or as close as is humanly possible, some times i think more than humanly possible!
Dear Andy thanks for your reply.I guess you are right about the crown and of course i am sure that many of the other guys will spot
about 100 other flaws(wrong CGs,wrong crown size, wrong pearl, wrong bezel e.t.c),but i am very happy with the watch cause
1)It keeps a pretty decent time
2)it looks good enough to be real to the untrained eye
3)I don't intend to sell it for original,so the trained eye will not have the chance
to take a close look enough to evaluate its authenticity!!!
Besides from my experience, only 1% can distinguish the real think from a replica.
But then again,i might be wrong!!!
I am not a perfectionist and i am not looking to mod a watch in order to make it better than the real one!!!
But i would like to get some experts opinions on the flaws of this replica so that i can keep them in mind, just
for me.
Thanks again for your opinion, you are great.

Yes...
Nothing mechanically wrong with your watch...just a poor alignment issue
YES,and an obvious giveaway i could say!!!
Thanks guys for your replies.BTW what do you think of this particular replica?
have spotted any other obvious giveaways?

Hello
I have just spotted a misalignment issue with an SD hour hand.It seems that it does not follow
correctly the minutes hand and this has the result shown in the picture. In this specific example
the hour hand will be exactly on top of the 8 hour index when the minutes hand reach the 2.So
in 8:10 the hour hand will be correctly positioned over the 8.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks

I think that was on Rep Geek. I tried it and it worked pretty easily. But, it will wear off just as the original did.
Just paint in the letters with a small brush and after it dries, wipe off the excess with a solvent type paint thinner very lightly applied to a clean rag. It will take a couple of tries to get it looking good with all the letters fully covered, but it's really very simple. I didn't try the clear nail polish.
Hey,thanks for your help mate.
I will try this asap an i will also go for the nail polish as well.
Thanks again

I think I read that someone on this board or another used flat black model paint, then put some clear nail polish over it for a nice finish.
Hello and thanks for your reply
Do you happen to remember by any chance where did you read it?
Thanks

Hi
How can i recover the fainted ROLEX OYSTER ORIGINAL GAS ESCAP VALVE logo on the back case of my SD?
It seems that the black paint has faded away.
Thanks

Hello Shundi,thanks for your reply.
I agree with you on all the flaws you have spotted,i just wanted to get extra opinions for guys like you who are into deep to the subject.
The only thing i intend to change is the pearl,i have already ordered a new one and i also intend to take it to a watch repairer to fix the hands issue,
cause this is the only obvious giveaway to the untrained eye i think!!!
Did you do the mod by yourself?
