well in a bar having drinks its highly unlikely he would have shone it under the light to see the color of the bezel. like i said in the 5 mins he inspected it everything looked spot on. now brining it to the shop and having it compared to an array of watches is something else.

yes it is solid white. no cream or even an ivory tint. i have seen the gen in pics some depict an ivory tinge while others depict a totally white tinge. mine is white

Guys i have received my ap roo safari from josh and i am blown away with the quality. everything is spot on and being the owner of several gen watches like a HB Bb the quality of this is superb! nothing seems wrong with the watch. it is constructed of superior materials and the weight is very nice and hefty. my father has the Gen white themes and i let him handle the watch to get his opinions. he scrutinized everything and couldnt find anything wrong with it. of course i did not tel him it was real, all i asked him was to see if there was any dust in the dial:) passed the test second test is i have drinks with my buddy who is the gen manager of a luxury retail watch shop (ap one of his brands) let him inspect my watch i drop an opening line and tel him first that i think my watch is fake coz i got it well below the msrp without box and papers. he inspects the watch for 5 mins, tries the chrono features. at this point im expecting one of the hands to fall off. luckily it dint. he said it was genuine from observing watch but would like to open the watch to verify. i then admitted it was a rep. NO F#@$IN WAY!!! THE CASE AND DIAL HAS TO BE AT LEAST GEN....... that made my day. now im thinking fo getting a mbw since they say the quality is superior. cant imagine it more superior than this but my curiosity is killing me. only thing stopping me is the sec @6 or was that 9? if they had a sec at 12 il be all over it without even hesitating. anyway for you guys are the mbw aproo superior to the a+ china clones? TIA

Guys i was at the local ad today and saw the re release of the IWC Portu hand wound vintage watch. looks very nice and classy at case is a nice 44mm. wondering if this could be repped? looks simpler to do than the portu chronos.

if they fix the date window above the partially cut 6 in a black dial ss case i would be all over it by now!

there is none. the FM pvd is the casablanca 10th anniv. 250 made for chrono and 500 made for the non chrono. also gen has no date. instead there is a "10" to signify 10th anniv of the casablanca line. i had the gen non chrono version. not a great watch. soft metal, lousy pvd and even crappier mech. sold it and got my money back

i have owned the gen, sold it recently to fund my HBB. from what i can see there is some difference with the dial. the one in the picture above looks coarser and glittery. also the font of YACHT MASTER looks thicker than normal. maybe its just the angle. other than that everything is spot on.

thats a good deal. arent the SDs and DRSD the same size diameter? like i said i love the drsd but the mods intimidate me and would want something kick azz off the bat:) id love to get a watch to pass the time while waiting for the bk but unfortunately i just shelled out for a aproo sec at 12 and a gen br01-94 so im short of luck

guys been studying the forums and looking at several posts. i have narowed down my choice to a seadweller. first of all i want the watch to be as close to gen as possible, im not expecting exact just decent. also i want it to be reliable so im thinking higher quality than usual off the rack reps. will also be using this as a daily beater ON A NATO STRAP and possibly some wet action in the beach but nothing too extreme. so i have narrowed down to two particular models and dealers. first is the double red sea dweller from paso and second is the preorder SD from bK. both seem to be what i am looking for but prefer the double red sd from paso on a purely cosmetic level but a lot of mods will have to be done to get it fairly accurate. also the mods on the DRSD look intimidating for a newb like me, thats why i obviously prefer the one from bk based on the internals and level of craftsmanship and modification. so its a toss up for one of the other. if Bk has a double red with the same level of inputs as the one he has on pre-order il be all over it by now. thanks in advance

AWESOME simply awesome! . thats exactly the watch i want but being located in asia i am not so accessible to the modders of this watch. the drsd is my first choice followed by the SD of Bk. i really love the drsd of mbk/mbw which is what you have but the modifications frighten and intimidate me. did you get it modded or did you have it done? frankly i would want one guy to do it all for me but from what i heard several guys do different mods. anyway i would appreciate some advice. thats a fine watch and if i could get one i may settle for this instead of the pre-order sd of bk. SO CONFUSED
