  1. Thank you all so much. For some reason I thought it was going to take a month! Anyway, I await the arrival of my new watch and will post a review when it arrives....
  2. This is my first time having a package shipped from China. It is coming by Airmail from a reputable "collector" on this forum. He says I should have it in 7-10 Days, but that sounds funny to me. I am in New York. How fast should I expect it to be, having done this many times before... I appreciate your input...
  3. Congratulations!!!
  4. WOW But that was def the WRONG moment for my gf to walk in... "WTF are you looking at???"
  5. Tanfo, I am speechless. There are just no words...
  6. I'm sorry...normally when it comes to style I say "to each their own," but that Daytona is downright hideous. The fact that any reputable company, let alone Rolex, would manufacture such an atrocity scares me as to the direction watches may be going.... :yuk:
  7. I think this is just the place, with just the people, to help him....
  8. I defer at this point to the vintage experts on this site... I saw this come up in the specials section on a known dealers' site. I was hoping I could get your opinions. I am looking for a sporty beater / something to wear on my upcoming trip to Sharm el Sheikh Egypt. Thanks so much for your opinions...
  9. Mine is matte...
  10. @Wayward - Love your avatar! I know an education is important...but that pic makes me want to start school NOW lol. Let's hope....
  11. Received my first rep via FedEx a couple days ago. I shopped for quite a while, and was all set to buy a Explorer 1 (Which I'm still going to buy lol). Then I was browsing the sale ads here on RWG. And I saw this Milgauss. There was something about it that I liked. It had all that Rolex style, yet was kind of funky and cool at the same time. I wanted a watch to wear when I go to college in August. And I couldn't pass up the deal... Especially as a starter rep, with FedEx delivery from a seller in the US. At first I was disappointed for a second. I asked the seller if this was the 40mm version, and he said it was. I don't have a measuring tool, but to me it is the same size as a standard Datejust. So, not true to the original. But then I put it on my wrist... And I loved it. I love the look, the style, and the feel. Not to mention that the build quality is miles ahead of any Canal St rep I have ever seen. Pics are below. While I know I will be buying more, as a first rep this is excellent. It's an Asian 21j by the way. Thank you RWG! P.S. Forgive the lousy pics. Have to get a better camera, as the one on my phone does crappy close-ups.
  12. Received my watch... Review posted in Rolex section. Again, thank you all.
  13. Sales rep for a water company - cool thread btw.
  14. Thanks for the tip on upgrading. And thanks for the warning lol. I can see that coming, as I am already looking at my next purchases. Yes, purchaseS pural. I'm looking at a SOSF and a PAM! *Sigh* There goes my money... At least I'll be stylin'! And I can use the watches to know when I have to be at the second job this hobby's gonna force me to get. But I'm glad to be part of the club.... P.S. ROFL at your signature Halo!
  15. Thank you all. Yes, an interesting and unique rep.... And one I'll have on my wrist TOMORROW! The seller I bought from sent it Next Day (which was totally cool) and I'll have it tomorrow. I'll post pics ASAP. How do I contribute $$$ to this board??
  16. First of all, a huge thank you to everyone on this board. I found it by accident shopping for reps on the internet, and have spent 100+ hours (based on estimation) reading and searching and reading and searching and reading some more lol. I posted requests for guidance - based on my specific circumstances - and got some great advise. RWG members took the time to offer me unbiased advise. This amazed me. While researching, I stumbled upon a Rolex model I had never heard of, the new Milagauss. It was Rolex sleek while still kinda cool and funky IMHO. I looked at a lot of others and kept coming bak to the Milagauss. It was calling to me LOL. Then a RWG member had one for sale. He is also in the USA. I got a great deal on a barely used beautiful specimen of my new-found (but prob not my last lol) dream watch. So I pulled the trigger, as I see it called here, and sent off the funds today. I should have it by the end of the week. Again, thank you all so much. The wealth of the knowledge, combined with the outgoing helpfulness of everyone here makes this an amazing place. I will post pics as soon as I get it. And now that I have been bit by the bug, I hope to become a contributing member so I can give back.
  17. Who knew this was so hard! I used to just go to chinatown and pick the one that I thought was least likely to turn my wrist green lol..... Upon further review Watcheden shows the new Rolesor clasp on his Explorer 1. And Josh claims to have the Asia ETA 28.8bpm movement. I have e-mailed Watcheden to see of this is pic hosting error or in fact the way his are. If that is how Watcheden's clasps are (and that is incorrect to my knowledge), then it's Josh for sure.
  18. Thank you all for your help in helping me decide what my first rep should be (I'm getting the Explorer 1). Now I'm just deciding dealers. I am torn between Josh (PerfetClones) and Watcheden. Josh has a lot of positive reviews. Watcheden seems newer, but also has good reviews. And to be honest, with the coupon, is $20 cheaper. I have done hours of research, and my mind is kinda spinning lol. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...
  19. What is the consensus on the turn-o-graph? I can find so little info on it within this site...
  20. I was always taught to seek the advise of those more knowledgeable than myself. SO it's looking like Josh (Perfect Clones) Exp 1. For $108 I can't beat it. He takes CC direct, and it has the upgraded Asia ETA 28.8 movement in that particular noob. Just to be safe I'm gonna browse my AD this weekend.Any further input would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep all informed. Thanks.
  21. Hello All. This is my first posting, so I wanted to introduce myself a bit before I ask any questions. First of all, let me thank all of you for the VAST WEALTH of information that I have found on this site. I have spent a minimum of an hour a day reading and learning since I signed up two weeks ago. I found this site while hunting for a new rep online. I live like 30 miles outside NYC, so I have bought my share from Canal St. Basically I got sick of the crap quality. So I wore a couple of Invictas for a year but they lacked whatever it is you get from wearing an actual rep. So I figured there had to be better online. After drowning in endless dealers (most seeming shady) I found this site. And it probably saved me a fortune. I have learned better through my research than to ask the typical noob questions. The advise I am seeking here is just some personal opinions on style. I'm going to college in the fall (after a 6 year break post high school). So I'm going at 24 years of age and not as a "kid." I have already decided that I want a Rolex rep, and that I want to get from Josh (rated great and you can't beat $108 shipped). However I'm torn between the Explorer I, the Rolesium Yachtmaster, and the LV Sub. The basic black sub screams rep in my opinion. While I LOVE the Rolesium I think it might be too flashy. And the Explorer I is an old favorite, but I'm not sure if it will feel too small compared to the Invicta "Sub" I have been wearing (Also, I'm a big guy at 6foo1, with 8inch wrists). Any advise would be greatly appreciated. -Chris
