  1. This is my third time buying custom straps from our very own Blackbard. I have to say that he is an awesome person to work with. His straps are just superb. I use to spending a lot of $$ on watches, but not so much on the straps. Now thinking about it, straps are as important if not more. In fact, it takes more area on your wrist than the watch itself.

Here are the two straps I got from him. As for the BCE strap, don't worry I just ordered a gen ss buckle :)

  2. For me, they are:

    1. Damaged / dirty chrome hands.

    2. Uneven minute markers on the dial.

    3. Loose bezel.

    4. Short crown tube.

    5. Sharp bracelet (poor finish).

    6. Bad / off centered pearl.

    7. Uneven crystal install.

    8. Watch hands not parallel to the dial.

    9. Noisy rotor.

    10.Plastic movement holders.

    What about you?

  3. I have one of the updated Bentley. Not sure how close it is to gen, but the quality seems to be really good. The date wheel on this watch is also very interesting. Whether or not the date font is maroon, I can really careless about. After all, I don't know anyone has a Bentley.

The watch is heavy, but wearable. I don't think I would ever put on a SS bracelet. The wheel caseback is interesting, but the standard flat caseback maybe more practical. Don't how close the dial is to gen, but it's nice built and I don't think I would ever replace it with gen (even though I understand it's impossible to do).

On mine, the small second hand is bit choppy. I think have the watch serviced will make it smooth. I hope in the mean while the way it is will not damage anything. The crown tube is also short. I wonder if it can be improved or replace with a gen. The bezel is butter smooth right now, I wonder if it gets looser over time. Does anyone know?

  4. Theo, I thought the gap should be tightly filled by the rubber gasket (the black stuff). In my case, the gasket is a little bit thin.

@everybody, the other thing I've noticed on this watch is the dial ring is not perfectly centered. As you can see in the picture, there is a gap between the dial ring and bezel at 12 o'clock (this is not a crystal reflection). When I take the movement out, I was able to slightly move it, but it's still not perfect. Just want to point this out.
