You are welcome.

Well, here it is. I got it about a week ago. Overall, it's a good rep, but not a super rep. I don't know about any other AP models, but I'd say the complication on this watch is pretty hard to be replicated (especially the dial, I think the Arabic numbers are a lot easier to rep than thin stick markers, which make me wonder how good can the new AP diver be). The watch has pretty good size and stays pretty thin on my wrist. I wish the bezel and caseback can hug the case a little bit more tighter, but... nothing is perfect I guess. Some day, when I really want the watch to be perfect, perhaps I should get a genuine one.
I took the watch apart today to take these pictures. I hope you enjoy.
These A*F screw drivers are pretty good and cheap. I picked these up on the ebay for about $10.
The screw driver I bought in Walmart is perfect size for the back screws. With these back screws, in my opinion it's very important you use the right size screw drivers.
I wonder on the genuine one, the case is built like this.
I wonder on the genuine one, the crown tube is like this (probably not).
After I opened the watch, I replaced the original golden rotor with AP logo with a plain ETA rotor. Why? I think it matches better since the whole watch is silver in color.
Am I going to install a gen dial in this watch? Probably not. For the price of the dial and the built quality of the watch, it's just not worth it.
Am I going to keep this watch for a very long time? Yes, absolutely. It's interesting to see how everything put together. It's definitely unique, a mush have for my small collection. I also like how thin it is on my wrist.

I believe someone here did a review on it some time ago. If you are lucky, you might find it via search.

Pulled the trigger on a secs at 12 safari yesterday - and woke up this morning to find an email telling me that there are no stocks at the factory. (According to my regular dealer, and confirmed when I tried another!)
A bit of a bummer, especially as I had purchased a brand new HKTAN strap to accompany the watch at the same time!
This Chinese New Year malarky needs to stop - instead of roaming the streets in papier mache dragons heads our Chinese friends need to concentrate on growing their economy and building me a watch!
I'm sorry to hear the news.
That's the model I like. Is it just out of stock or out of production?

Nice Seawolf!

Nice! By the way, Sander, your PM box is full. Don't know if you got my last pm.

I see. Thanks! I have contacted the dealer this morning, and he said he could get me a new set during my next purchase. Unfortunately, my next purchase won't occur until end of this month (the watch is not yet available), so hopefully he won't forget later.

I can't believe it neither.

Guys,
These are what came with my watch. To make installation easier, they are filed with point tips. Anyone know where I can get a new pair?

Hey cougaree, what do you mean the watch crystal comes out as the bezel is removed? I'd thought the V3 had a slightly better bezel than the V2, and you wouldn't want / need to remove it. What's the downside to the V3 vs V2?
Hmm, it's probably time to sell one of my V2 frankens that I never wear.
V3 does look better than V2 in my opinion, but on the V3, the sapphire crystal and the ring around it and the bezel are separate piece from the case and it's press on. There is no way you can make it water tight in my opinion. Additionally, I'm afraid to wear the watch because I feel like if I swing my wrist a little bit harder, the crystal along with the bezel can just fall out.
How much are you selling your SA for, Chief?
-
I agree, but I do accept the fact we are all anal on different things in in different ways.

Got it! Thanks!

Guys,
Which one is what we considered a v2 SA? I've had v3 before. It's nice but the watch crystal comes out as the bezel is removed. Just thinking about making a franken with a gen dial, that's all.
Thanks!

Did you get what you need?
-
I'm planning on getting one in ss bracelet. It's coming out by the end of Feb.
-
I guess what I'm trying to do two thing if possible. One is to install gen bezel (optional since the rep bezel is pretty good already), two is take crystal off for AR coating. Do I really need to remove the bezel before popping the crystal out?
-
Guys,
Just want to ask if you know the screws on the bezel are real. That is if I unscrew them, the bezel will pop off.
Thanks!

Nice! I especially like the rotor. No saw tooth!!!
-
I think we need to have at least one watch that is over the top in our collections.

On his page, he has not put up the description yet, only pictures.

I'm not sure if I should or not. I realize I have way too many A7750 powered watches. It will be an expensive service bill down the road. I also want to focus my interest a little bit. I'm originally planning on getting the new Patek Nautilus coming out by the end of this month in black dial. I do like the dw position though. It's different.
What I see gen ETA is from looking at the rotor. I hope the watch is not too gigantic.
-
This one I'm seeing here is new and current model. I can get it for $600 with warranty. Thanks for the tip, will check the bay.

Just saw this on Josh's site. It looks interesting. I especially like the gen ETA like rotor.

Yep, that's the one I have.
Here are two more pictures (sorry the lighting is kind of poor for my cell phone, the pictures are a lot better under the sun light)
